  1. well, from what I've heard, it is like 3x bigger than vice city, as you have 3 cities, not one.which makes it 3x better! :blink:I wonder what Lazlow will be up to in this one....
  2. work FOR firefox?last time I heard, firefox was open source and did not belong to any 'company', so technically you cannot work FOR firefox. <_<unlike some other browser which has a defect ratio of 2 per 1000 lines of code and the development of it is crawling because their programmers have better stuff to write, stuff which they can sell for money...
  3. Coppermine is good for integration with forum scripts. I have SMF running together with Coppermine and it works great. Users can upload and add to the albums and you can give different permissions to different SMF membergroups. Marvelous piece of software!
  4. I'm not sure about availability on where you are going to buy it, but look for the name RaidMax, model: Scorpio or the new model: Cobra heres a link: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  5. sorry, this may seem like a spam, but couldn't help it since I'm learning about exactly this, this year! Bexa, take a Computer Engineer'ing course in College (not software, not science, not electronics, COMP Eng!) and there is a 90% chance (according to the university you go) that you'll make your own chip in third year! Hell, thats one of the reasons I chose comp! It is kinda dull, and not like you expect it to be though. You program a machine which does the whole thing for you As for making your own comp, I made my first when I was 13. But since then, I learned that it is of no use whatsoever. Just don't bother, they usually charge very little or none and if they mess up, you don't loose your twoandahalf grand. edit: not that it ever happened to me! (happened twice now, to my friend though ouch!)
  6. Everything is great except a couple of suggestions. Why the tiny motherboard, when you have a ginourmous thermaltake case? Those are designed for tiny barebone PCs that don't have much room, and lack in a lot of stuff, such as extra RAM slots, extra PCI slots etc... I would go with something like the Abit KV8-Max3. The mobo is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of the system, get a good one if you can. Next suggestion is the second most important system component, the harddisk. Get a SATA (Serial ATA) drive like this one. It will be more future proof. Hell, if you want even more performance, you can go with a 10000rpm Western Digital. However, Seagate is the best hdd maker I know of, can't go wrong with them. The thermaltake case is just ridiculously expensive if you ask me, you can get much nicer designs now for much cheaper. But its your choice, if you like it, no problem. Apart from that, everything else looks great! wish I had that kinda money to spend...
  7. If anyone has a Palm PDA or PocketPC PDA or used one, how about a comparison of the two? I'm getting a Palm Tungsten T from ebay, but I decided that I dunno much about PDAs, since before last week I didn't care about them much! So, how useful are they? Any kind of info is welcome.edit: ok, none of you kids care about Palms... fine then, I'll post a review when I get it...
  8. Sony Ericsson is just awesome, they have all the features you'll need... take a T300 for example, triple band (use it in Europe and the States), WAP, GPRS, pop3 email, polyphonic melodies, IrDA, colour screen, camera addon, themeable backgrounds and menus also comes with a full set of calendar adn scheduler, calculator etc... This thing is like a mini PDA (even though I'm actually getting a PDA!) only thing it lacks is bluetooth, so may change it for the T600 if I have to.
  9. ThunderbirdOpera's M2 is also great, used that for the longest time. Actually the two are very similar, just like the browser sounterparts. One reason I switched to thunderbird was that I could call it up from mail checking programs like Miranda, or MSN Messenger Plus.
  10. ah now this is important stuff, I HATE Colgate... they must be the worst toothpaste ever. Crappy taste, crappy viscosity, too sticky etc etc...Signal , doesn't exist in the US and Canada I believe, (think its French) is the best! So whenever I go back home, I bring back a bunch of Signal toothpaste which lasts me the entire term...(my toothbrush is Colgate though, and it is pretty good)
  11. I really liked Van Helsing.I thought it was a pretty good movie, better than Spiderman (both) for instance. But then again, I'm in love with Kate Beckinsale, shame she doesn't use her English accent in the movie
  12. If you find CS boring, go for Quake 3 Arena! I would consider it to be, still, the best ever online FPS created. And I agree too, was never a big fan of CS, can't stand it actually...
  13. Yah, I was really upset when I learned that I couldn't use my TI83plus in college, was so used to it all through high school...Some Casio's I think, can do symbolic calculations, (if you know the program: Maple)Now those are awesome, plug in the equation and get the answer
  14. change is good, right.it looks cool, rightbut its too faded! A forum needs to be brighter and easier to read rather than good looking. Just my thoughts.
  15. I use a Sony Ericsson T300, for the past three years I think. The fact that it has infrared is awesome, because so does my laptop! So I can backup my phonebook, transfer pictures to it and back, transfer midi files as ringtones etc, etc. It's the best phone I've had and quiet frankly, I would never pay more for a "fancier" phone.
  16. its slower in most stuff, but the 6800 Ultra is still overkill with the need for not one, but TWO extra molex power connectors. It will suck your PSU dry!

    Ftp Prog?

SmartFTP is the best there is, so you don't need to worry about changing it or anything
  18. they are upgrading the inboxes of users in order of signup date. Mine is also 2megs still, but I don't care... gmail is much better and has way better spam protection, so I'm going to phase out my hotmail and just use it for messenger
  19. well, actually most clans and associations are made up because one group of people hate something about the other group :angry:just that of course they don't give a name to their clan of what the actual purpose is (hate whatever...) but rather a more indirect approach of appreciation of whatever they do (in this case, like rock music etc...) But that is purely legislatory and dull! :angry:nobody is holding you from making an "anti-oldie" clan... ...rocks you say... I would throw his own CDs back at him, all that raps' gotta hurt!
  20. Well, thinking back to the great times of Klinsmann, Marco Van Basten, Roberto Bajjio or Allen Shearer, I think football has become duller and duller every passing year. None of the teams are in their former glory, except maybe for some in south America. So yeah, football is great, european cups are great, world cups are even better, but I just hope that the clubs pay more to train younger players to the standards of those I listed above and less on getting every multi million dollar striker in the world and go tabloid...
  21. I agree with you dude, absolutely, mice rule! I mean, what would we do without them? ;)I just love my logitech mx500, coolest mouse ever! * ouch no, not tomatoes... splat!, ouch...stop...
  22. I know one feature that is going to be included. Brooke Burke! http://www.ea.com/
  23. Another thing you can do is to plug in the 12V case fans into the 5V outputs of the PSU. This will have them turning in much lower speeds to produce much less sound but decrease their cooling capacities. Also as this involves hacking into PSU or other parts or cables it will void all sorts of warranties and blow up your computer if you are not careful enough.Best is to get a liquid cooling solution, I've still to do that... its kinda expensive unless you have something like an old fridge lying around somewhere (then again, old fridges are loud too!)
