wrong wrong wrong... its four parts... haven't you heard their motto? "A trilogy in four parts" The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy The Restaurant at the End of the Universe Life, the Universe and Everything So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish here, take a look at this photo and see for yourself The last book I still haven't read tho and a recent one was written in 92, though some don't consider it not in the series. (Mostly Harmless)

well, I finished it today and yes, it is a great game. The new physics based gaming is a pretty neat idea, you can interact with pretty much every object in the game. You have extended areas of the game which you travel by vehicles (a boat and a buggy to be exact) and you have a limited number of weapons like in HL1, but the gravity gun as mentioned is the most unique. How does picking up a radiator and using it as a shield sound?

I only played and likes 8, actually I probably finished it like 4 times. And I will probably increase that tally count by a bunch over the years ahead...

ok 100 bucks perfect... here is what you need: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/3209-palm-pdas/ that exact PDA cost me 100 bucks, but you'll also need some SD memory cards so it'll be a bit more than a 100. on the other hand, you can do much more like browse the web (if you have a bluetooth phone) take notes, etc etc... Its mp3 playback is really good, but should have been a bit louder.

That thing is HUGE! its like twice the size of mine, but its way cool! Actually the x30 is great too, Dell seems to make awesome PDAs, except they should design them better. They just implement everything! Bluetooth, wi-fi, 600Mhz Intel cpu... The x50 even has both a CF and a SD card reader! The prices... i got mine for cheap, $100 actually, plus a huge $20 on shipping... thanks to ebay!

ugh... I guess you're from russia or from the balkans...I like the lada niva, dunno about the others. In Canada I don't have a car :(but back home I have a 91 Corolla GL w/ full accesories still at around 30,000 km and its great! (although a bit underpowered) In fact, I don't remember, but I may even have a picture posted somewhere in this forum!

This was mentioned before somewhere, it seems as though the newer versions are out. Last time I checked they were at version 9.However, I didn't see much more of an improvement. If you want real improvement, download and install the Tweak Network Settings extension and enable pipelining.

ok, if you like to study so much... here I'll teach you something:I am is not spelled Iam or iam, two words, a capital "I" for the first and an "am" for the second word. "I am"

Yes, its a great innovation from AMD! Go to Control panel -> Sytem -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Data Execution Prevention to check it out if you have SP2 installed, if you don't have an A64 cpu then it will say that your cpu doesn't support it on hardware but you can run it on software. And to all those going on about AMD's overheating. The new Intel Socket T cpu's have been confirmed by major hardware sites to be running hotter than AMD cpus. Intel is also going to launch dual core processors soon so it will have serious heat issues coming up. Anyways, if you get a good, big heatsink, apply good quality thermal paste properly and use a good quality fan, you won't EVER have heating issues. The lifetime of such a setup without cleaning would be minimum 2-3 years.

yeah, most modern forums now have 100x100 avatars since advancing technology + broadband means you need to worry less about bandwidth and more about content. However, I've seen this happen a lot of times, when the limit is increased many people publish crap avatars. 80x80 makes them think more about how they want to design them so it is better.(Eg, some of you may have seen the insanely long stick figure anime sequence that is 9 megs or something.... I saw that as someone's avatar on one of the forums I'm a member to. Needless to say, I blocked that image permanently.)

What Has Bush Done To You? This is not a Bush rant. I promise.

actually that was the first thing they did when entering Iraq. You really don't expect them to shout out loud "WE SECURED THE OIL WELLS!" do you? The flow of iraqi oil to the US has been going on since the very early stages of the war. -

for all who said it is good if you are good, or bad if you get killed etc...I once sucked in Quake 3, still not that good, I may loose 20 to -10 to some pros out there, but I damn well enjoy the game!I just can't stand CS, it is boring and dull, the game dynamics just don't suit me. I think I played CS for like 15 minutes and then trashed it. Hiding, camping, sniping etc is just not for me.Deathmatch is what I like. Quake 3 is best at it. Unreal Tournament series have some good ideas, but lack the dynamics of Q3A. For example in which other game can you launch a rocket at your opponent, get him in the air and then rail his guts to the walls? ... its all about the reflexes.

Is Firefox Not Working For You? it hasnt worked for me the past 4 times
alperuzi replied to spawn_syxx9's topic in Software
First of all, a tiny reminder, there is nothing such as a free version, the whole was/is/and always shall be free! :(I would check if your computer is clean of viruses, adware, spyware etc... use Spybot from download.com and something like F-Prot or AVG for virus checking. They are all freeware.Go to Start->Run and type msconfig and go to the startup tab. From there I would remove all the entries which look suspicious. However be careful, some of those are needed for your programs to run properly. Check the Command column and if it points to some program directory that you know you have installed leave the entry. Suspicious entries are like: webrebates.exe, chicbash etc...Next do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and start the Task Manager. If you see a firefox entry in the processes tab select it and hit end process.RestartTry running firefox again, better yet, do the above before installing firefox and then install and run it. -
wow another fallout fan! Hello dude! Why didn't you put this in the gaming forum? I think I had a fallout post there... I'm just so excited about Bethesda making the new Fallout sequel.I actually still play these games from time to time, when I'm bored or have nothing to do. They're just so extensive that you always find somthing new!

I don't have 56k, but I was talking with 56k users for a while and there were no problems unless the 56k user was doing something else concurrently like file downloading.

Operating System For Elite Ppl Operating system for elite ppl
alperuzi replied to markian's topic in Operating Systems
define what is meant by elite people. In my current understanding elite users won't have anything to do with windows or linux... I dunno, they'll go for Mac OSX.Power users on the other hand will use linux, although I use XP ...and Slackware on VirtualPC! -
thanks for the info rowita! check out: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/7104828?visit_id=0-636095365787109832-3568511924&rd=1 it seems as though they are introducing it slowly.

OK, I took a look at all the memory card interfaces and there is lot of them!So I began to wonder, do people use all these? I mean I now have a pda and an older digital cam. One uses an SD card the other a CF card, it would have been great if both used the same, so I could interchange the cards I buy between them... but no!So which is more popular, which one do you use?(you don't have to reply to this thread, and if you don't use any, just ignore!)

Well, ok I got my palm Tungsten T here is a photo: I had some trouble at first, because the darn seller sells it as the Tungsten T, but in actual fact it is a prototype for a Tungsten T, dubbed "Oslo". You can see the codename and the serial in the picture... So I couldn't get audio to work properly at first, device reset wheneve I pressed play on a mp3 player program. However with some help from http://www.palminfocenter.com/ forum members I was able to flash the OS with that of an actual Tungsten T. So it works charmingly now, as I'm writing I'm listening to Spinal Tap from the PDA plugged into my speakers. Apart from that, I can play divx movies. Got myself a 256meg SD card from Kingmax, was pretty cheap at 42 canadian. The T|T has bluetooth, but no wi-fi () which kinda sucks because I use wi-fi both at home and school and when I travel. I was hoping that Sandisk would make Palm OS 5 drivers for their SDIO card, but I dunno if it will ever happen. Right now the only thing I'm pissed off about is that my digital camera uses Compact Flash cards instead of SD, so I can't use the SD card on it... But anyways, if you want a good and cheap Palm pda, I would highly recommend the T|T, the newer versions like the T5 and the T3 just have faster cpu and more memory being more or less the same in functionality (and x4 the price!)

I have a 40 gig Seagate Momentus on my Laptop and adding more is naturally out of question.I actually overheated the Toshiba 40 gig which was in it before, but it was a slow 4200rpm drive so I dun really care. I think I'll send it back before the warranty runs out so that it can become a backup drive for my PC.However what do you guys think, I have a 40gig Barracuda back home and for a future upgrade (never use half of it anyways) should I get a bigger drive, or should I get an identical Barracuda and make a RAID array. That would be blindingly fast!
