Why don't you use firefox? It's way better than IE. Other browsers cache pages too, but they're not stupid enough to cache their own error page. So Microsoft forgot to put some thought into IE again! This is what happens with a (not exactly) free product!

That's going to be a javascript work, but I reccommend PHP more. Xisto supports PHP why not use it? It's not that hard to work with PHP, you'll end up using PHP to process the form anyway. So why not using php for the form.Another thing is you said from a "link". Different links can point to different pages can't it, so why combine it to the same page?

I like Ipods! They're great, both design and space. It holds GBs of musics! I mean the ordinary (in my country) mp3 player doesn't hold THAT much. I like shuffle too, the smallest ipod. The big Ipod holds like 60GBs of music and no one will need THAT much.

I think SSI is availible, Try the error-page builder in Cpanel, When you click on a dynamic information, It uses SSI. So there's no reason that normal pages can't use SSI

What extension did you have installed? I'm using Firefox 1.5 and I still sees the ads. Try uninstalling and deleting all firefox files before installing again

If this is your computer, maybe you would like to password your account and create another account for somebody else. The saved passwords are still there, but no one can access it without using your account. The instructions depend on what version of windows are you using.

I'll tell you my experience, with WinXP the drivers needed for the computer is installed, but when you upgrades a service pack, only I relavent part is installed. At that time(when I bought my new computer) I reformatted and reinstalled XP. But other suggestions for you are to:1. Repair your computer with your XP(+SP) CD2. Try using sysprep 2 in safemode and tell it to use the "mini" setup and click reseal.PS. That also happens when you're trying to install(Mostly illegally) using a cross-specification "ghost image".

TCP Optmizer can only speed it up abit. Cables are already fast and compressing proxies will barely have any effect on it. There is also a method which involves WinXP Pro and gpedit, search the forum for it

No media center is for the "digital media" it require a "remote controller" to use. And WinXP won't do on an old laptop!

Also, Mambo/Joomla uses XHTML. It's like a new standard. I mean it's like every one uses Win XP now when they used Win 98 before. Why? because everyone uses it, and it's a trend. Most opensources are free anyway, like joomla and phpbb running on most websites. SuSe is now OpenSuSe and now allows to do downloads ISO if you don't want to go for pro. The best resource for opensource is sourceforge.net

I've just tried a demo of ipb and I want to tell you that it's GREAT! It's more easily modded than PHPbb and has more feature without modding! I've used SMF and it's "quite" good, it doesn't have an attractive "default" theme and the admin panel is alittle bit confusing!

Can't you simply do it without flash? I mean standalone excutable or excel file? Flash ain't designed for database but I don't think it's a good thing using software not for what they're design for? What do you think?

I don't think WIN98 runs IIS. Try checking what is serving the web-page using telnet. Try this in connecting in telnet and send something. It should report the server it is.

Use a linux setup cd and let it partition your computer then "don't" install linux. This is not possible though in alot of distro which partition then (instantly) install linux. Randish Partitioner is also a good one.

On the playing side. You said some don't play or is it just there is no sound. Try the K-lite Codec pack. It plays nearly every video out there(and sound)
