How Long Does It Take For Google To Index Your Website?

Recommended Posts

I have sent my web site url to https://www.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2Fsubmit-url&followup=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2Fsubmit-url

And also I have sent my sitemap.xml to https://www.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2F&followup=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fwebmasters%2Ftools%2F

And I have added Google Analytics scripts to my each web page. https://www.google.com/analytics/

And then my sites homepage have been added in one week. One month later google bots have crawled all my webpages.

Google is ok.

I also add my website urls to Yahoo with this page http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

And now Yahoo is also ok.

wah great info, nice

I will try it, about analytics is the feature free or must be bought?

And then do you use any html guideline that must be used for google to crawl? like being said must used h1 tag, and so on? Do you know any url that tell us that so our site is indexed properly?

Thanks

Google Analytics is absolutely free. It needs only a gmail account, and gmail account is also free.
I only obey css and xhtml rules. Google loves css styles.

Check your site if validated css here http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/
And check your site validated xhtml here http://validator.w3.org/

Have lots of indexes on Google,
Good luck...

Like one of the previous posts state, it takes 2 to 4 weeks for Google to index your site and Yahoo you're are probably looking at maybe 1 to 3 weeks - You need to get as many 1 way quality inbound links as possible to improve your site's placement in the search results.

Ensure that the inbound links are from sites which have a high Google Page ranking themselves as they will pass off some of the value onto your site. That's all I have done with my latest website http://uberwebsolutions.com/ and I have rocketed up the rankings now I use this approach, so give it a go.

It does not take long time. Mine was indexed in two days. But it takes time and a lot of work to get your website on the first page in your area of expertise :P. I'm working on my site being in top10 for some time and still have a lot to do :P.

I have had sites listed in under 24 hours and others that take weeks. The best plan is to get a high pagerank site to link to yours because it shows Google your other site is "popular."Doing that (as long as the referring page is PR4 or higher) you can usually get listed within 24 hours even without submitting anything.

Google takes around three hours to add your URL to their database but he start to show two days later. I recommend you to use the Google?s add URL tool. Not use that sites when promise you to add your website to 300 search engines if you put a backlink to them. When your website is up the Page Rank will be 0. So you will have to work a lot to scale positions and make your site a top ten for the keyword you are working. Making good content and optimizing the meta tags and the title you will can put your site in the map.So it is a challenge to beat Google. Are you ready?

Trying hard to get my site indexed for about 10 days now...  I seeFrom the google webmaster tools that googlebot paid a visit about 4Days ago but it hasn't appeared in the index (submitted a sitemap andRobots.Txt as well).

I noticed that I had three dead links(listed in the webcrawl errors column)  which I've since fixed - butDoes this affect whether they index your site or not?

What exactly do you mean when you say "beat Google"? And by the way, meta keywords are next to useless, CONTENT is what will get you higher in Google.

Yeah, this one's right. If I remember right Google themselves even said meta tags have nothing to do with your inclusion/where you rank in their system. They said it is content only. But I'm wondering if this is just something they're saying to throw people off...

Beat google ? are you one of those black-hat SEO type ? What do you mean by beat google ? People are trying to get into their database. "Beat google" sounds like you're trying to get into google database and your link is not qualified to be in it. Is that so ? If so, get ready for penalty from google. It takes more than 1 day to get index and not 3 hours. Even it sounds google indexed domain in 3-8 hours. They discard sites with scraper and duplicate content. This is not 2005-07 where any one can get indexed in hours. Their algorithm is changed. And sites are having priority for keyword authority. Now there is lot of competition for getting indexed. More backlinks (be it internal and external) counts for the guarantee that your site gets included in their database.

Actually, ditch all this SEO stuff... I have read a book that said that while you may get visitors to your site, more often than not they will just get out of your site as quickly as they came in with the "Back" button in their browser. It's as easy as that.If you really want visitors to your site, you should go to our niche's websites and forums, contribute there, gain a reputation and put your website's link in your signature. It's a really good method of gaining visitors, and people that go to your site through there actually want to go to your site, unlike people that come in through Google that doesn't really know what they are looking for.Of course, SEO is actually quite important if you want the occasion Tom, Bob, Harry or *BLEEP* (I don't really know this saying) to join into your site, but the main and the best way of getting visitors is to post at other forums, and post in them regularly...Apparently the website domain name doesn't really matter either, though it may do you some help... But as you can all see, Amazon.com did beat Books.com, and so, the domain name isn't always the most important.Just my two cents worth. :PBut I think that there is a site where you can index your site in fourteen different search engines. I really don't know which one it is though... you might want to do a search on that and check it out... :P

Hey guys.I just sent my url to google and i was wondering if anyone had any experience with how long it takes to actually be entered into their system and crawled for content? Let me know, thanks.

Yes dear friend even I have my site indexed over there. It took 3-4 days in my case and my site was indexed. It depends upon the method used to submit the URL also. Whether you have just added your URL or you have submitted your site map to google, through webmaster tools. By the way my personal suggestion is that you should go for a site map submition through webmaster tools. It will give you good results.
