I'm going to say that Opera is the best browser. You can do so much with it. The only problem is with opera is websites not letting opera users use their websites. They write code into their websites that block opera users for some reason. I don't know why it really matters but oh well. Opera is one of the best. If you know how to use it you can go far.

but what if you want the pop up.. ie I am on a site where I have to click on certain link s that will produce a pop up that helps me get more stuff.. (no it isn't a porno site. it is hsx.com)

i found myself quite satistfied with firefox
I;ve changed to firefox because of 1 thing .
Dunno since when, the "view source" button in my IE doesnt work anymore.
I clicked on it and nothing happens. i got frustrated and changed to firefox.
and so far so good .

You are right.

There is no doubt that Firefox is the best browser.

 

However, due to the monopoly of Windows and IE being bundled with it, IE will monopolize for the next decade at least.

This is in spite of all it's known risks!

 

Firefox cannot reach more than 25% share of the browsers in the best of our dreams. I am really sad about that.

one of advantages Firefox has over IE is:

 

if the page contains <TABLE> tag IE will not show the page till the </TABLE> tag received from the source but Mozilla (FireFox) displays whatever received from the source.

 

and another (BIG) one is : Mozilla (Firefox) supports Extensions means there's nothing this browser can't do!

and you can create your Extensions if you know some XUL (pronounced zool !) and JavaScript! or you can just download what you need!

By default, Firefox allows popups created by click.

And of course, you can add a site to a white list were all popups are allowed...

ok .. i see .. i;ve been using google toolbar so i think watever pop-up leaked by IE is blocked by google toolbar ..

 

btw .. im using firefox 1.0

and i realized that for firefox .. the image LOADS SLOWER that IE .

i still remember last time when i used netscape .. images were also loaded slower compared to IE .. but firefox and netscape do load text faster ..

POS!! and I don't mean point of sale. I dled Mozilla Firefox last night. Totally didn't even work. I restarted my comp, I checked to see if the dl had made it through everything. Didn't even come up. No browser.. no nothing.. damn Mozilla sucks.What are you guys talking about. Show me a screen shot so I can see what it is supposed to look like.

Try redownload'n firefox.. And if you still cant get it to work try geting version .9 because i've heard of some ver 1's not working on peeps computers. I'd post a screen shot... but i dont really know how to do that on here... or even if you can. Anyone know how?If you need any help figureing stuff out, there are usually some pretty good guides to get stuff figured out. If you need help i can try to help, but i need more info than you've given. :)And I think Firefox is way better than IE too. I dont get much of anything for spyware with it.. but that might be because i started using adaware se, spybot search and destroy, and spywareblaster all at the same time... very effective

You use the keys[alt] and [prt scrn] on your keyboard then open paint or some image program and click paste. ^^ Yeah I will try though I personally am not to impressed so far.

The only thing that i dont like about it is that its hard to "get around" i think, but most ppl think differently, but definately good speed and good security.

i just switched to firefox yesterday the only thing im realy missing is the email button that used to be on internet explorer other then that i think firefox is so much better to all those ie users just try it for once im sure ul find it much better
