Dot.tk suck majorly, ads everywhere, and actually getting to the site in question is a nightmare, it just keeps telling you the domain is in use.

I take it this is one of those "kill everything" asteroids? It'll never happen lol, they keep saying it will and it never does. *Crosses fingers* Mind you, we won't care anyways, we won't be around

Any Ideas About A Free Online Page Editor ? any ideas?
infamousflame replied to Kushika's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Btw, don't go for phpnuke if you can help it. I have bad memories... *shudders* -
SMF's ban system sucks, it's easy to get around, I won't say anymore. It's probably more secure than phpBB though.

A Gmail Sign Up Webpage really needed
infamousflame replied to CaptainRon's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Well I think it's a good idea for Xisto. Anyone wanting Gmail invitations, post their email address in their thread, and whoever sends an invitation can acknowledged it. Maybe we could ask a mod to check the thread and delete the done with threads? -
Problem Accessing My Cpanel [solved]

Don't reinstall yet. Try accessing blah.astahost.com/cpanel If this doesn't work, try a different browser. If this doesn't work, post back here. -

Eniki.net - Great Low-price Webhosting I just want to give some praise to this great company. They have awesome uptime, really low prices and their service is just a treat to use. They're based in the UK and we use them for our school ezine (I live in Scotland). We've never had much trouble, they're cheap, fully featured, cpanel, databases, php, the lot. The one drawback that I noticed is the address you get. Before our domain was setup the address was something like http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ which isn't nice. Apart from that though, this service is awesome! We once had to ask for more databases or something, and we ended up getting it set to a big number, I just had to submit a support ticket and it was answered within hours if not less. If you're ever looking for low-price webhosting, try these guys out (If I'm not allowed to post this (it's promoting competition to Xisto - Web Hosting) please feel free to remove it)

You'd be better to learn to write it yourself, else you'll always be asking people how to change/improve it etc. http://www.w3schools.com/ is another good place to go. I'll try to give you a better background on the way it works:Create HTML page with form and button.Create PHP page which takes the form values, adds them to the database (using an INSERT INTO query) and shows the thankyou message. You need to set up a database with a table with fields like Name, Age etc. (use phpmyadmin/cpanel/etc. for this). You can actually make it give you the code for inserting it, just perform the action you want to do (insert a new row) and find the "Create PHP code" link. Then you swap out the info for the global variables like $_POST['name'] or whatever.Think that's how it works. Good luck

Do a google for free forum software etc. and you'll get some different results. I'd agree that phpBB and SMF are the most popular free ones. You could host a SMF remotely but I don't know if you could install the languages if you did that. If you want to host it remotely try http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ or google. Hope this helps you out

Know Of Any Good Free Ftp Host Site? ...
infamousflame replied to fxfusion's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Why do you need FTP? Would it be okay to upload images in another way or does it have to be FTP? If FTP is not needed, try either: imageshack or photobucket. Hope this helps. -
Lol, pretty impressive, but it's only really useful to advanced mathematicians and scientists etc. I expect, still cool to look at though.
