i've always had bad luck with web acceleerators. quite frankly, my current connection is fast enough to keep me away from these things even awhen i'm capped. i'd only give something like this a go if i was on dial up... ahh good old dial up. ;]

thanks for the link ;d it really does seem like an interesting way to play. very unique, i quite like it. reminds me of an ipod though, ipods piss me off lol. well nintendo are coming back after the release of teh ds neway. the touchscreen for the ds was also pretty interesting. its kicking the psp harrdcore. although this is a big gamble, if its successful nintendo will come back big time. but it seems they still have their eyes set at a younger audience, the controller kinda leans towards how a child would play. :T

i'm with affiliations and link exchanges. i used to link exchange between around 30 different sites and got heaps more traffic then i did beforehand. if u you have good content, people usually spread it to others and the traffic u receive usually becomes denser.

ahh dial up. back in the days... well it was fine back then actually. everyone catered for dial up. i never really used to care about its speed, i just left my pc on constantly downloading. it was pretty good back tehn. but u know, u can get broadband pretty cheap nowadays. i think it would be best if u just changed. but if its not available to you.. well, much bad luck i guess. dial up is slowly becoming extinct. i dont know a single person who uses dial up internet. i also did the kbps tweak when i had it. it did help, but downloads were usually still pretty slow. 5kb/s was pt fast when i was using dial up. not i'm on a 1500k adsl connection so i sore the net at 160kb/s.... and in about a month i'm switching to adsl2+ which is slowly becoing available in the suburbs. i think it runs at about 2.5MB/s. cant wiat till its available. ;]

i've never tried linux. i'm curious to how it functions but i'm jsut too comfortable with windows xp. the os doesnt crash tooo much and it runs everythig well. aslong as i keep it organised and spyware free its pretty good.since u cant use xp i guess u ought to stick wth 2000 cause ME is crap. it even crashed while gates had it operating during its presentation... lol... pathetic really.

i remember reading something about this technology a few years back, so they've probably advanced a lot further by now. anyway, it was an article about a new monitor with these light emitting rays on the side of the screen. with these little projectors, objects could be viewed outside the screen aswell as being in them at the same time. so objects originating from the screen can come out in 3d. the problem they had was it was that external images could only be viewed at particular angles. this was at 16 points outside the screen i think.. cant quite remember. but even at that, its pretty impressive. they said they were goin to double the amount of angles the images could be viwed out within the next few months. i wonder where this technology stands now... thats a really interesting fact, the power of computers being doubled every 18 months. it's pretty much true from what you see of computers everyday. i wonder when technology will reach its peek... or if there is a peek to technology. its changing the way of life so much nowadays. the world we see today will be so much different in just a few years time because of it. makes you wonder whether a tale such as the matrix might actually come true. ;d

What Type Of Monitor Do You Have? CRT or LCd , which size
kawasu replied to ankitunlimited's topic in Hardware Workshop
i'm using an old ViewSonic E70f which is the monitor equivilent to a mobile brick. even so, the image quality is amazing. ViewSonic have the best monitors imho, the image always appears crisper to me. all the old monitors i had were great but the sonics have that lil something extra. cant really make of it, they're just finer monitors. :T -
What Is Programming Language Of Google Etc.?
kawasu replied to itssami's topic in Science and Technology
wow... i'm in uni right now and i'm learning c++ from scratch. really basic stuff like changing form colours and simple arrays etc. the thing is, i never thought the programming language was used for online content. i only thought of it to be a coding language for physical applications.now that u say websites are built using it i'm pretty stumped. i always thought languages were made for web or applications alone... hahah this topic really set things straight. thanks for the information guys. -

Amd Vs Intel see which brand of processor is more popular
kawasu replied to Reaper's topic in Science and Technology
i've never used an AMD but my friends who make their own pcs use them and tell me they're way better. I might go with AMD for my next pc but as u guys said its more for hardcore gamers.. i lean towards being a multimedia/graphics user so should i stick with AMD or intel? -

lol i love massive headers. it gives the site more alot depth and creativeness. sites with small headers are never really attention catching. ;d i'm the owner of pimpossible.com lol so yes, i did design the website. i hate pre made templates, they restrict you so much. i'm actually more of a webdesigner than coder. i enjoy designing sites. c: your sites nice aswell, it has alot more content thatn mine haha. i still gotta add alot more to mine before its finished though. thanks for the comments guys. -

to me, it all depends on the game. some games, the more serious games, suit a realistic atmosphere whilst others are alot better being cartoonish. as teh above stated gta series being a realistic game just imagine it being cartooish. it would be crap. no1 would want to play it. and vice versa with a cartoony game like super smash bros melee. if that was realistic where would teh fun be? jajajajaja u get my point. different games need different levels of realism. its not about realism being everything, its just better to have in particular types of games.

i've been meaning to play this game for a while but it hasnt caught my attention too much. i remember playing a halflife mod which was kinda like the matrix and it was heaps fun to play. this looked alot like it so i was going to give it a try... but theni forgot about it lol. hmm i still cbf downloading and playing at this point. i guess i'm still more an mmorpg person with magic and monsters rather than guns are peoples. ;d

ooo killzone. this is my favorite ps2 first person shooter. the graphics and the gameplay is just stunning but i must agree with wat u guys said, yeh the computers ai does need work. it wasnt so bad taht it ruined ruin the game though imo. the thing i love most about this game are teh sexy guns you can play around with haha. the ps3 killzone 2 looks so dam good aswell. the graphics for taht game are teh best i've seen so far for the next generation consoles. the ai seems to be improved aswell. its just another game i cant wait to play. ;]
