Well, my parents will be using the car too, fffanatics, that's why they're willing to spend a bit more. They'll probably end up using it more than I do (aside from driving to and from school). Although I love the idea of a convertible, it wouldn't really be practical as a year-round car here in Chicago, because the cold will go right through the rag top, but believe me, I'd love a convertible. Niloc, I understand your perspective. My brother is currently studying in London and will be there for the rest of the year. He never fails to remind us that driving would be awful and how the Tube is the best way to go and how it is so much better than the transportation systems we have here. However, my school is about 10 or 15 miles away from my home and I cannot take the bus because I often go to school early for help or stay late for different activities, so it wouldn't make sense to bother my parents or friends for rides each and every day. Just to clear something up and I'm sure you didn't exactly mean it this way, but I'm not the type of person that talks about engine size or horsepower. To be completely honest, I can't, I don't really know what they mean. I only really look at the miles per gallon and how the overall appearance of the car is. I personally hate crazy rims; they totally wreck most cars. As for the price of the cars, I agree they're a bit up there; I certainly can't afford them. However, you have to understand that my parents would be using the cars just as much as I would if not more than I would, and they need a decent looking car for work that is also comfortable for themselves. I hope this puts the price in perspective for you, because I'm not a braggart and don't want others to think of me as one. Anyways, thank you for your suggestions so far - keep 'em coming!

Yeah, my main reason for looking at the Toyota is that I've had such an excellent run with my this 2002 Toyota. My reason for looking at the Lexus IS is simply because I saw it on the road and thought it looked mighty fine. The base price for the Lexus IS is roughly $30,280 according to the site. The base price for the 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS is roughly $31,075.So as it turns out, the Avalon is a bit more expensive, but from looking at the pictures, it is considerably larger and more comfortable while the Lexus IS is more sporty. Me and my father are fairly tall so comfort can be a big issue (at least for him). I might be willing to sacrifice a bit of comfort for looks. But we'll see.But no, I'm not just limiting myself to the Toyota Avalon XLS and the Lexus IS; I simply named them because those are the ones I am more familiar with and the ones that I have been looking at recently. I would gladly hear any suggestions, though.

Hey, guys. Well, recently, my grandmother's car had some sort of problem which caused her car to smoke and die (among other things), but we have yet to hear whether or not it can easily be fixed. If her car cannot be fixed; she will most likely get my car. I currently have a 2002 Toyota Avalon XLS that is silver. I really like this car and have never had a single problem with it. Well, the problem now is that I might be losing the car, however, we will most likely be getting a new one to replace it. So naturally, I have begun searching for different cars hoping that I find a good replacement. So far, my favorite choice is the 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS. The Avalon Limited seems to be a bit too luxurious for what I need. My only problem with the new model is that it looks more "boaty" if you get what I mean. The back seems to be much larger than it used to be, even though it looks pretty cool. My main concern is that I'm still able to get the gas mileage I had with the previous model (which I'm sure is the same if not better) and that this puppy can accelerate (let's face it, I like going fast and love being able to go fast faster ). The old model had excellent acceleration even after all the abuse. But anyways, I'm asking for your opinions. If you know of a car that is compareable to the 2002 Toyota Avalon. I know I've seen some of the Lexus cars (which is made by Toyota) and have taken a liking to some of the models when they have spoilers, but I doubt my parents will be looking in that price range, at least not for me. By the way, here are pictures of both Toyotas. 2002 Toyota Avalon XLS 2006 Toyota Avalon I think the Lexus that I saw was the Lexus IS - 5 Speed; here are some photos. Lexus IS 5 - Speed Thank you for your input.

Learn About Computers! Don't Ask Me Too Often! Too many people refer to me
Cain replied to frederick.ding's topic in The Vent
Either that or at least direct them to a helpful tutorial online or book they can purchase. I know if pointed in the right direction, most people can get along fine on their own. -
Is there some alternative to using programs such as WindowBlinds or StyleXP? Like is there a way to have a skin without any of those programs. I would much rather be able to do that somehow than to always have WindowBlinds clog up my computer every time I try to turn it on. So basically, my question is - is there a way to apply skins without using the different programs?

To me, it's all about the girl. If she would like to cuddle, then gosh darn, we're going to cuddle. I find that if they decide, then I know that they are comfortable with what they are doing and that's what most important to me. Normally, I do enjoy cuddling. Like others have said, the intimacy really is like nothing else you can experience and has a very special feeling. It can get awkward though when you cuddle in a very public place, I don't really mind cuddling in front of my friends, but I'm referring more to a time/place that really isn't appropriate for cuddling. I know it's extreme, but for the sake of example, but church is not usually a very good place to cuddle unless of course they lost a relative but that's a whole new realm. You guys know what I mean.

Although it's not entirely unexepected that Google should be dipping their feet in many different areas of the web, I would have preferred to see them try something with a browser. I know there had previously been a rumor that Google had released a browser, however, I believe it never got past beta testing or hasn't yet.I would like to hear some feedback though from people who have already started using GoogleTalk. Is it an easy-to-use interface? Is it perhaps compareable to AIM, MSN or YIM?

Hey, guys. Recently, as I'm sure is the case with many other members of Xisto.com, school has started. It has brought along with it many new responsibilities and activities that take up much time. Because of these new obligations, I know personally, it has become much more difficult to post on the forums. I understand that this community is based around the forum and the participation of the members in this community, but I was wondering if perhaps an alternative could be explored. If I'm not mistaken, the majority of Xisto.com's income is rooted in ads posted on the main website and forum. Would it not be possible to allow members to simply click on the advertisements to maintain their hosting credits? I understand that this goes against what you have attempted to establish with the forum community, but I honestly believe that those who are already posting frequently will continue to even if presented with this new option. Allowing members to click will just increase the size of the overall community.Again, I understand that this idea strays from the original intentions of this community and may receive little support, but please consider the idea. Thank you.

The Safe Games Illinois Act (Warning labels for games)
Cain replied to lilmetal's topic in Computer Gaming
This is really interesting, because I definitely just purchased Hitman: Contracts yesterday at an EB Games in Illinois. When was this legislation passed, because they definitely didn't seem to care, unless I appear to be 18 years old, but I'm sure appearance doesn't cut it in a court of law and they should probably ID me. Oh well, I'm not going to complain, it's a dang good game. -
Hey, guys. I wasn't sure if Hitman 2 would fall under the category of strategy or action, but I decided that it is quite action-packed. Anyways, I recently played Hitman 2 on my buddy's Xbox and I was considering getting Hitman 2 for myself. I then heard that Hitman 2 was available for PC. I was just wondering if you guys felt that one version was better than the other or if they were basically the same. I'm wondering, because although XBox is pretty sweet, I tend to prefer some games on the PC, so I was wondering how you felt the two versions compared. Thanks for your opinions.

What do you mean Google Homepage? Are you referring to the option on https://www.google.de/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=BwkjVKfAD8uH8QfckIGgCQ&gws_rd=ssl where you can make it your homepage website? Or is Google Homepage a new program for web-design like Macromedia Dreamweaver, please be more specific.

What exactly is a "strategies for research" project. It seems to be something similar to a psychology experiment where you test the different reactions of various people when they are exposed to the same situation. If my understanding is correct, then definitely doing random ridiculous things will be both fun for you, the people being tested, but also for your teacher. Just make sure to keep it appropriate as I'm sure you will. Also, you have to make sure to have a control situation. For example, you have to do the same ridiculous thing to multiple people to get an accurate result, because otherwise the reactions would not correspond to the specific situations. Good lucky with your project, I hope you have fun.

That's really neat that they were able to develop something like that. Unfortunately, I suppose it won't be distributed to the public, or am I wrong? If it were then it most certainly might fall into the wrong hands as crapoartworks suggested. But it's always nice to see some sort of progress in any field of technology. It will probably be the base for some other aspect of technology.

I got my name from a variety of places. The most obvious and common association with Cain is in the Bible in the story of Cain and Abel in which Cain kills his brother, because he has lost favor with God and feels that if his brother is no longer there, he will appear better in God's eyes. The less commonly associated derivation of my name is from the book, The Bourne Identity, which they eventually made the movie out of with Matt Damon. In the book, the main character is an assassin for hire and his code name, or what people call him when they need his services is Cain. I suppose both influences are fairly negative, but I thought the name was really interested so that is why I chose it and have stuck with it.

Have You Ever Been To The Rocky Mountains? Have you?
Cain replied to wild20's topic in General Discussion
I've only been to the Rockies once during the summer and we did very small hikes, nothing strenuous. I usually visit the Rockies in the winter though. If you're interested in skiing or snowboarding then there are definitely some great places that you need to visit. All my suggestions are in Colorado and are quite close to one another. Aspen and Snowmass are both great towns and have excellent slopes ranging from beginner to expert and Apsen Mountain just recently opened up to snowboarders too. Also, I would suggest Vail. Very nice town, great slopes as well. Hope this helps. -
You definitely should make sure to talk to her. Expain to her that the rumor was false and that you had no intention of breaking up with her and that you would prefer to stay with her. Maybe she had some other reason for ending it. Perhaps the rumor was just a catalyst of what might have unfortunately happened anyways. Talk to her, though, that's the most important step.

How were they able to put all these different games up for free? Aren't there still licensing and copyright laws and such that need to be followed? If not, what other games are like this?

Bandwidth For all the idiots out there xD
Cain replied to Evil_Amuter_WebsiteCoder's topic in General Discussion
I guess that I'll be the one to ask some questions then. What are some different factors that affect bandwidth? Does hardware affect it or simply an internet connection? I've been wondering, because I went to a site that tests your bandwidth and I have been getting pathetic numbers, like 200 kilobytes per second, while my buddies are getting like 20 megabytes per second. As far as I know, we both have cable internet. Another question, how can I increase my bandwidth? Thanks. Oh, by the way, here is the website where I tested my bandwidth. You guys can check out your numbers too! http://www.2wire.com/ -- Click Speed Meter at the top. -
How do you change your IP? What steps do you have to take, I mean.

Biskie's Newest Template Vectorized
Cain replied to biscuitrat's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I think this new template you have looks excellent. I really like the style and the colors. Everything seems to go quite well. Perhaps you intended for this to occur, or perhaps not, but the clouds don't seem to have an opacity of 100% over the sun. I'm not sure exactly, but it may have a more vectorized look if you had the opacity at full. I don't know though, and it certainly looks great the way it is.Question - What does it mean that your site is CSS and XHTML tested mean? Why did you get some sort of extra approval? -
Both fractals look very good. I think I like the color of the blue more as well, but the orange one can do a lot too. With that orange color you could definitely get a good "burn" effect with something else. The color almost looks like flames and stuff. I think the text is good, but somewhat plain and might turn out very well if you fiddle with some other options or even fonts.Otherwise, excellent job, they look really good.

Hey, guys. I'm planning on purchasing a domain name for my game squad and I had a couple questions. Does the domain selling company ask me where I want the site from? Like does it ask where my site is otherwise hosted i.e. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/? Or does it usually have you host up the files through their own ftp? I'm just not familiar with having my domain and that is why I'm asking these questions... Is it similar to a normal URL redirection like .tk? Or .cjb.net? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Wow! Two dollars, that's amazing! I'll have to get in on this one too. Is it two dollars a year for five years? Or does it go back to $4.95 after the first year? Thanks for getting this find Buffalo, it will really help me and my buddies out a lot. We've been looking for something really cheap for a while.
