OK, cool, thanks... I am pretty sorry, but I decided to make a new hosting account anyway, just because of the fact that I have other free websites that I would like to host, and they won't take a lot of space, and it wouldn't even matter if something goes wrong (though I hope not), and they will be linked to my main myname.com anyway, but won't take up the same space on the same server... anyway, I think that it is just better this way... :-/ I'm sorry for letting your hopes down, but I believe that if I start everything again I can still make it through before my time limit is up... but now the main question is this: Question: I don't know what to use as my main domain now. Do you think I should use a co.cc domain (that will be completely free and I swear the company won't take it from me because I know how not to) as my main domain, or use the provided freecp.net (that looks really bad and retarded?)? Because the I still can't change the ftp domain name, and I wouldn't mind if it was mydomain.co.cc instead. :-/ But not http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ :-/ Can someone tell me what to put for my main domain name?

NO... I'm not thinking of moving to Xisto. I was actually thinking of making my main domain name as something like mydomain.co.cc (don't worry, I and pretty sure that the domain won't fail), and then adding a parked domain top level domain as mydomain.com, but I was just wondering that if I ever need to use the hosting site... then, what should I do if I move back to Xisto and take the co.cc domain back with me? This is because I have previously made other simple websites for school projects and I want to showcase them on my site as some of my projects that I have done, and well, I don't know. I will definitely use free free hosts (not Xisto) for them, and they will probably be hosted on another hosting account if I make another one (probably the same on with my bad domain name on it) while I make my myname.com site on a proper hosting account (and not make any errors and delete any important files with Filezilla)... but I don't know what to use as my main domain now. I found a good site that gives you free domains for free forever, but I don't know if I should make that my main domain incase I happen to move back to Xisto and take it back with me, but what if I won't move back to Xisto? What if I don't ever use up my diskspace or my bandwidth or I make enough money to stay there?Then I will regret that I haven't used a co.cc as my main domain. I am in quite a dilemma right now... someone help... Either way, I believe that I will be creating another hosting account in the other hosting company, if it is just to host my simple project sites. It'll make things much more easier, I reckon. But what should I use as my main domain? Argh... co.cc, or freecp.net? :( Why can't they make changing main domains much more easier? Then I wouldn't have this problem in the first place... :D

If something like that really happens, try to contact support for help. They should let you go this time because it is their fault that myCENTS isn't updating as fast as it should and not your fault because you have been posting. Generally as a rule though, you should stack up some myCENTS incase of an emergency like this one... This is what I do now, and I have enough to last me a couple of month's worth of hosting if I actually hosted at Xisto, which I don't, which makes it even better because I've got quite a few years worth of myCENTS for my one and only top level domain... , so I'm not worried or anything. But anyway, contact Support if you can get pass the "license not validation" blocking thing and let them fix it up. I do hope that support can come back quickly though... I want to be able to log into Xisto - Domains as soon as possible...

Yeah... it doesn't seem to be updating, doesn't it? If I remember correctly mahesh2k was commenting about this too in the shout box some time ago. But oh well... One of the servers must be down, and this can be seen with the "License is Not Validated" thingymabob when you try to log in into Xisto Xupport... don't worry, Xisto has bugs like this every so often. It should be fixed soon by the technical crew, so you have to be patient and wait for it to update by itself... remember, if it's not updating for you, then it's not updating for us either... But anyway, I'm sure it will fix itself sooner or later. It always does, and it is not the first time. Also, the Xisto myCENTS have been updating a lot faster than usual in the past few weeks after the BIG myCENTS not updating (another one) epsisode a few weeks ago, so this might also have an impact on the servers being used faster than usual and therefore burning it out from the inside. I'm not sure if this is really the case though, I'm just speculation, but trust me, I'm sure that everything will be fine and that it will fix itself up sooner or later. You'll see. Don't worry and be happy!!! (Ok, that was a slightly be random. )

I don't know if it is just me, but it seems like many times when I had a help question and that I need answered and no one was there to answer and reply to my thread and posts and when I posted up the question onto the Shoutbox he would reply if he is online and help me out... strangely, on the shoutbox more than in my threads... in fact, while he barely reply to my threads, he would rather help me on the Shoutbox and send me resources because I posted on the shoutbox instead. Therefore, I believe that I can safely assume and say that baniboy prefers posting and helping people on the shoutbox than posting in threads to help them out... what do you think? I'm sorry if I got this wrong, baniboy, but I still believe that you should be the shoutboxer of the year even so.

I don't think that you were here at the time, but there was a period of time where no one could log into Xisto - Support for a while, though the reason is unclear, and the administrators still hasn't given us a reason why behind it. Anyhow, if you have the problem, it just means that someone is wrong, and that everyone has the same problem as you. The only thing that we can do right now is to wait for it to fix itself up... Nothing more... I wonder why though, Xisto does seem to have a lot of bugs sometimes, and I really wonder why... argh... that means that I can't log in to check on the reply on my being not able to log in into Xisto - Domains.com support ticket problem... argh... oh well...

OK people, this is an open and shut question... So I'll keep this short. Actually, I have more than one question, but still, it's easy. Question 1 Let's say that I use a top level domain or a co.cc domain as my main domain for cPanel when I register for a new hosting account. Let's say, OK? I'm not implying anything. If I change hosts, for example, move back to Xisto, can I move my main domain back as well? Or can't I? Question 2 Let's say, OK, I don't have one yet, but let's say I make a domain called mydomain.co.cc. And then I already have my own mydomain.com. Someone said (rvalkass, if I remember) that if my main domain expired in my cPanel, I won't be able to use the hosting. Let's say I have a co.cc domain. Should I put that (.co.cc) as my main domain for back up incase my top level domain (.com) expires and I don't have a sufficient amount of myCENTS to host my domain (.com) or Xisto suddenly falls to the ground? Thank you for your patience. I hope that by using this layout I will receives answers quickly and save your time more... Quick Question: Xisto won't fall to the ground one day, right? Sorry for double posting... but I accidentally missed your post. I'll keep this short and simple. I did that, though I still have the permissions problem. I am thinking that this is maybe because of the fact that the name of this computer isn't the name of my account, and therefore only the administrator of the computer can do it. But there is only one user. SO therefore, that user has two different names. THis is because my father upgraded my OS X computer with my brother's already upgraded computer, so for some reason, the name of the computer is now that of my brother's, but somehow, my user account is still on it, so when I give permission and verification and all that, it is still under my name. I don't know how to solve this though. Do you have any ideas? I'm not even sure if this is the problem, though it seems to be... :-/

I mean, I don't think I would mind if my domain was mydomain.co.cc, but to have a totally unrelated domain name, PLUS as well as having potential missing files problem... it just seem to be a better idea to get a totally new hosting account anyway. I mean... your main domain was rvalkass.trap17.com right? but you had probably parked a rvalkass.com on top of it. That, I understand... but to have something like THAT... I don't know... I mean, maybe I may need another account anyway for my psychic niche blog, and that would suit it, so, why not? Also, I still can't find a way to make my ftp address my parked domain address... how do you do that? I went to FTP accounts in my cPanel and I have all my URLs in my bad domain name... How sad... I should have gotten a uni.cc or a co.cc main domain name in the first place instead of a freecp.net one. :( This is what I found... (I'll change the domain names accordingly, so google won't track it.) As you can see... only the last one has my good domain name on it... and it still has a baddomain.freecp.net in it... I don't know how to change that. Plus, if I used that for my psychic blog niche then it would kinda fit, but not really... Really? I've been into podcasts for a only two days before I quit, right after I learnt of their existence.... sorry. I don't know, I just seem to fall asleep and block out their voices anyway, especially if I am reading, my own inner voice seems to dominate the podcast that I am currently listening to, so I gave up... I don't have any recommendations, but you can search up podcast.com though. They've got quite a few podcasts that might take some of our interest or two. If you find a good one, tell me. I have yet to hear a good podcast that doesn't make me fall asleep... :D P Or maybe it's just me.

Really? I feel sorry for the creator though. I can't believe that he is only eighteen years old!!! I wish I will be able to do something like that when I'm eighteen. I think that they are actually just imitating the USA's version of Hollywood, and hence the something-ollywood. In Tamil, it is called Tollywood because Tamil starts with the letter "T", and hence the "Tolly". I believe, if I remember, that Bollywood is called bollywood because there is something to do with Bali, though I'm not very sure. Is Bali Even Hindi? I'll check on the internet... There we go. I got everything you said except for that... Huh? Yes, I used the add on feature. But the add on domain is the one that I want as my main domain. I want to get rid my of current main domain and replace it with the add on domain. What do you mean by change the nameservers from the xisto billing site? If I change my nameservers, then the domain itself won't be compatible with my hosting company's server... and therefore I won't be able to make it the main domain... And the main reason for that is because the ftp domain is ftp.baddomain.com, not ftp.myTLD.com. I want to change that. I have already contacted support for my Xisto - Domains problem already... But the deleted folder is from my hosting side... not the xisto billing side. I don't host my site at Xisto... And backup about what? I might be missing files from my cPanel and I want to set everything to default again... that's all... My head is spinning around in circles... :-/

I found out what is wrong with it, I believe. While I delete all the local webserver files into my Recycle Bin, I couldn't empty my recycle bin because some files were still running (yes, while in the recycle bin). So then, I went to shut down my computer to stop all processes, and then my computer froze for some reason so I had to emergency shut down it, and then I deleted everything in the trash folder. After that, I went to download MAMP again, and decided NOT to downland xampp, and then the servers worked, but I came up with this: Great, another problem... Can't seem to find the source of the problem though. I don't think so... but anyway, the problems solved after I shut down... I shut down all the background processes in the way as well... Now I just need permission to access my own local webserver. How sad... And yes, I will... back up all my files next time, of course. My bad... But all my main files are there so it should be fine. The "bad" domain is the equivalent to .trap17.com's domains. I want my top level domain to be my main domain because the ftp domain for my site is now the "bad" domain that I first put down... This is the "bad" domain that I am talking about... and I want to change it with this. I won't type them out though. I don't want them indexed by google. Especially not the "bad" domain...

I meant that I have a domain that is similar to .trap17.com, but it is .freecp.net instead, except I don't like it, and I want to delete all traces of that and make my top level domain as my main domain. This is because my ftp site is now ftp.stupiddomainname.freecp.net, instead of what I actually wanted (I bought my hosting before my domain name, so I got the free one instead), and As the support of my hosting company isn't really replying, I am asking you all here if I can do that manually or should I just create a new hosting account. Hey!!! I didn't know Xisto had a Xisto - Domains.com... but now I do. Unfortunately, I seem to cannot access my account on Xisto - Domains.com This is the error message received... [r3] Error Message: Invalid Password/Username, or your User account maybe Inactive or Suspended I don't seem to know why though... maybe it isn't active yet. I'll have to contact support for this. At least I know that I can change my CNAMES manually. That is good... I like doing and learning things myself. One question partially solved!!! That is, until I can actually get into my account. The thing is, I don't know which one is better. I might make a mistake with the CNAMES, and yet while the verification file might be easier, I may not be able to delete it, and it will take up diskspace... The thing is, I don't know. All I know is that my public_ftp file suddenly disappeared one day and I don't know what happened, so I assumed that I might have accidentally deleted it while I was noobily looking around CrossFTP. Therefore, I made the public_ftp back, but I don't know if there are other important folders that might be missing. Oh, and by the way, the FTP folder went missing for a few days and it still didn't come back until I made it in my cPanel, so I don't think that works... So, what am I meant to do now? I've got three problems to solve... the retarded domain name, the potential missing files (I don't even know if they are...), and the fact that google already indexed my site and I don't have a webmaster account... not to mention the CNAMES and the Xisto - Domains not working... Hiya people... sorry to bother you with another thread. I know that I am not Hosted at Xisto, but I would like a few suggestions and I would also want to you answer a few questions. I will try to keep this as short and as simple as possible. Here are the few questions I want to have answered: 1. I have a very stupid subdomain main domain in my cPanel (my fault, sorry). Is is possible to delete that and use my top level domain instead? (the problem is also with the ftp because they prefer the main domain as the ftp domain and not the one I want to use) 2. Also, I believe that I will have to create a CNAME if I want to use Google Apps Google Mail. How is that possible? Who do I contact? Xisto or my Hosting Company? 3. For the verification of the domain name (that you own the domain name) at Google Apps, let's say I use the uploading a file onto Google as the verification. After I do that, is it possible to delete the verification file? Or can't you? -------> If you can't, then let's say I use the create a CNAME to google.com as my verification. Can I delete the CNAME after? How? I still don't know how to create a CNAME yet. 4. I believe that I have deleted a few main folders in my cPanel (OK, I know I went through this, but I just want to make sure). Can I reset everything to default again? 5. I found that Google have indexed my site already... with no prompts!!! I don't know that if I do anything to fix the above, will that affect my SEO? Plus, what will happen when I change my site? Will Google change it too? 5. I am thinking that with all this troubles, isn't it better to create a new hosting account and start again? What do you all think? Hiya people... I seem to need help again. Recently, I tried to re download the MAMP local webserver for my computer, and due to different browser only allowing me to download different types of local webservers (MAMP can only be downloaded from Safari and Xampp can only be downloaded on Firefox), that I ended up with both local webservers...I am deciding to work on my site so that I can upload it to my proper site, but however, I cannot start any servers on MAMP at all, and I cannot start the mySQL server on Xampp. The problem was this: it seems like I already have another mySQL server running already, and I don't know how that happened. I don't open both localhosts webservers at the same time, and I even took the time to delete them and tried again. The problem persisted. And the problem is now though, that I cannot open my localhosts because apparently I don't have permission to access to it, but I don't know why.I hate this. After I take the time to learn how to use MAMP, the whole entire folder got wiped off the disk, and now after I solved the downloading problem where I couldn't download it before, now I can't even open it properly. What's wrong with me? I really need to get my site up and running in a few weeks time. Someone help!!!And I still can't get me email running right. And plus, the main domain in my hosting is still a very bad one and I can't seem to delete it.

Oh... really? Oh... I suppose you miss out on a lot of things as a Mac user, but I mean, Macintosh computers are so convenient, I really don't know why people don't use them as much as they should. Applications are easy to download, there are lot of good graphics and I like how the way things work... I don't know... everything just seems to be better than a normal average computer like window. I suppose Linux might be good too, btu I haven't used it before yet... Aw... no swiftfox. They should make everything compatible to all the computers.
