1. It's a nice template, but like mentioned before: the banner is too 'tall'. There's also something about the metallic-like bar on top of the navigation. I'd scoot the navigation up a bit more so that it overlaps that bar a bit. And maybe add something on the sides of the navigation. It doesn't have a "connected" look with everything else under it. That's my two cents.
2. Because the former is temporary relief. I say that through experience. Although we can't prove that God exists (i think Romans explains why; i know it's some letter), we also can't prove that God doesn't exist. I tell you, the latter helped me personally, that no visible, tangible material could have ever helped me get through certain times. Like mentioned before, although i can't prove Him, i can give some information that makes the existence of God seem more possible. It's not that we don't wanna understand how things work. It's that we already know. And you're right, in the end it's still faith. For example, the following verses i'm about to show you, although prove that Science and the Bible are more friends than enemies, it'll still require faith to even allow any of these verses to take affect. You can always deny the truth, i just wish many didn't. Isaiah 40:22 tells us that the earth is round. How? By simply mentioning "the circle of the earth". Job 26:7 tells us that the earth is suspended in space, "over nothing". Isaiah 55:10, and Job 36:27-28, behold, the water cycle. Genesis 1:2-9, Psalm 104:6-9, Proverbs 3:19, Proverbs 8:27-29, Job 38:4-8, and 2 Peter 3:5, the earth was first a water world. These are just some of the now-known-as scientific facts that are found in the Bible. There are plenty more. There are those that say, "Well, i believe in science more than religion." What then, now?
3. >_< Yeah, that was a bit disturbing. Was totally not expecting that.. But have you ever read the book of Job (42 chapters)? Or the book of Ecclesiastes (12 chapters)? I'm sure you can somewhat relate to the book of Job; quite a big book, indeed, but Job's responses are quite intriguing.
4. Heh, i think the question is more: Why did you mention your grandfather, in the first place? That is great to know that he accepted the gift of life offered by God. May Peace and Grace be with him.
If you don't mind me asking where you mentioned that he had suffered pain, what kind of pain did he suffer?
5. If you want to help someone, but they reject you, would you keep pushing till you get through? Wouldn't that push them even further away? The Love of God is accessible to anyone, but many choose to not accept it. Even through the toughest of all times, a life for God, the love of God, will get you through them. Did your grandfather accept God's love? This life is short, but God gives eternal life.
Yeah, that does sound like atheism. But, in your view, since this "god" can't do all sorts of things, therefore, it must be human and did not create the heavens and the earth. Although, the most logical explanation on how all of this came into existence is through some Supernatural, Supreme Being—One that can do whatever They set Their Mind to. Evolution doesn't explain on how all of this came into existence, it just says on how it got from one thing into another. What's your belief on how all of this came into existence?
6. It's not bad. Good render blending. Not bad on the depth. Could use some more light near the bottom. Maybe just a tad bit of contrast. Text bit hard to see. The border it already has is good, but seems to fit more web pages with black backgrounds.
7. Did a search on Google for "caffeine skin", and found many articles talking about that caffeine may prevent skin cancer. But who knows if this soap will work the same, or if too much caffeine in the skin will have bad side-effects. Too many articles about caffeine fighting skin cancer. I'll try to perform a search with a different query.
8. Please excuse the lateness of my post. (Click image for original size) If it's too dark, let me know. If there is something more you want, let me know. I kinda rushed this one.
9. There is still a money issue. One can't just go around making this mandatory, unless they're willing to help those who can't afford a laptop. And they would also have to instruct the students in how to work with a laptop properly. You can really mess up your hands if you don't type properly.
10. Ah, i noticed this too, from screenshots of Vista. But yeah, Microsoft copying other OS's (i.e. Mac OS) is not new. I'm still amazed that Microsoft won the case several years ago. I think the verdict was similar to: Microsoft modified things JUST ENOUGH to get by.
11. The correct way to have done such a story, would have been like so: Asked a man. "Because people choose to continue in their evil ways," God replied. "Sure, if they come back to Me, repent, and refrain from doing evil."
12. No problem. Anytime. Have fun while you're away. Take good care of your family.
13. [1]The devil was created before mankind was. There is no rebirth of him. And i don't remember hearing that he had a child; unless you consider his followers to be his "sons". [2]Revelation 13:18
14. Better? Still too dark? Too bright?
15. You've been really improving on the signature work. The text could use some work, but when doesn't it, for everyone? If you expand passed sig work, you could consider applying for GFX Crew. Keep up the good work, and always expand your horizon.
16. I think you should have enough experience, by now, to be admitted. A little improvement in some areas can still be done, but easily taken care of. I vote: Yes.
17. Nice display of vector sigs you have here. Loving the last one. Very colorful and warm feeling. And i agree with Migue, the gloss effect should be lowred a bit for the second one displayed. Not bad on the third one, on getting excessive brushing to work well. The black arrows on the corners, on the first sig, give an odd feeling, though.
18. I'ma have to disagree with this statement. The way you're looking at it is probably from personal experience, but that can be limited, as it shows. The list in Albus' post is possible, all of it, for at least one person out there. There are people out there that don't judge by appearance. The kind of love described in Albus' post is rare, but it is out there. There would be less problems in relationships if there were such a love in those relationships.
19. I heard something about this movie that made me wanna not go see it. I dare not mention this thing, lest others become troubled by such a thing, as well...
20. In common speech, and in areas where you can actually fit the whole word, "Christmas", i would agree with you. However, if i hadn't run into trouble with small gift cards , i would have fully agreed with you. The small gift cards forced me to write "X-mas", although i wanted to write the whole word.
21. "demo a" is the one to go with. Very professional, and doesn't have that big red bar on top, like demo b, and it uses up some blank areas more. It also looks better than demo c, IMO. Demo c, the blue feels odd and so does the placement of a few things.
22. Alright, after some constant analyzing, i have come up with my decision. But first: Gameratheart: Simple. (Yes, i understand this a newbie contest.) But more could have been done with the text. Like giving it some perspective (3d feel), double border, something. Electriic Ink: Interesting color-pattern overlay. Text could use some work and may have been better on the opposite side. Bkag: Too much contrast. Render on top of car doesn't help the sig, IMO. It would have been better if you didn't let it pass the rear wheel. Nice text, though. Vote goes to Electriic Ink.
23. Over 5, to be precise. I counted about 7 before i decided to stop counting.
Many who used to be (very) active in the GFX forum are barely or no longer active (due to something personal, or just got bored with GFX, etc). Some come in just to show off their latest work(s)—that's about it; even then, it's a bit rare for them to show off. It's easier to get voters than contestants.
24. Here you go: If there's anything you want changed, let me know.
