I'm not sure about the sound part, but the only one i could find that can be installed into Windows and that's free is Avidemux. It can split and cut videos in half, and many other features. It seems to be able to do text as well. Not sure about any effects for text, but you can check it out.

How old are you? Am i to assume you're in the tenth grade?—or does "10th school year" mean something else? How long will this course which you feel so wrong about last? Is there really nothing but picking a job after you're done with all the courses? Let's say you do get picked for the "first choice." Does that mean you can't later go on to study about what you want to do (assuming you get no free time)? No matter what you do, you're wasting time.

Is Christianity Just Another Religion Or Its Superior
truefusion replied to nustadventist's topic in General Discussion
You don't take any time to make references for your claims. You are raising the question: What makes them innocent? Others like you have probably ran into these verses: Exodus 20:5; Exodus 34:7; Numbers 14:18; Deuteronomy 5:9. However, these statements are always misunderstood by those who lack proper Bible study. Allow me to provide you with several verses: Ezekiel 18:4-20; Deuteronomy 24:16; Kings 15:3. No one is punished for the sins of others. The reason why it mentions a third person is because the one being disciplined commited the same sins as that third person (Romans 2:3). Those who do not understand the meaning of sin or what sin is go on to say that God is bloodthirsty. Those who find several sinful practices appealing and as something that is acceptable go on to say that God is unjust. God is unchanging, He has always been the same; He is no different in the OT than in the NT. I suppose this is now your chance to provide opposing arguments? -
There is plenty of evidence. But if your disbelief comes from lack thereof, then my belief can also come from lack thereof: a lack of contradictory evidence. The argument "there is not enough evidence" is not sound enough to be used, especially since it's self contradicting. You're saying "not enough evidence." This implies that there is some evidence to believe in a Higher Being. People are not born as atheists, people at birth are incapable of thinking for themselves; therefore you're making the decision for them. Atheism is a self-proclamation. Unless you're defining the word "atheist" as "one who cannot think for themselves," then, by this (your) definition, they are atheists. But, surely, you won't agree to this kind of defintion.

The Earth Is Really Flat Its a conspiracy
truefusion replied to galexcd's topic in Science and Technology
Galahad, you're still going at this? Don't you know they're leading you on? You think this information you've retrieved is accurate? Why do you think you've managed to get this far? They're toying with you, and you are totally oblivious to it! Many have followed in your path, you know. Magellan was one of them, and look what happened to him! Indeed, he never finished his journey. Of course, you'd still continue believing you're on the right track, though they will forever be ahead of you. The Penguins have chosen to no longer leak information, for you take not the time to listen to it. You are, therefore, on your own. Good luck—you'll need it. -
When the motherboard specs give a specific speed for RAM, whether it's DDR or DDR2, that means it can only support up to that speed. For example, yours supports up to DDR 400. Meaning, anything DDR that is under 400 should also work so long as it's within DDR and does not pass 400. My motherboard supports up to DDR2 800, but i'm using DDR2 667.

TP-Link doesn't provide any Linux drivers for your wireless device. Consider installing NDISwrapper (you can find it at Mandriva's RPM Farm; you may also have to install a NDISwrapper kernel, too), and see if you can configure it to work with your wireless device. Or you can contact TP-Link directly and ask for Linux Support. As a paying customer, you should have the right to use your wireless device regardless of what operating system you're using.

Ubuntu 7.10 Boot Issues why does this happen?
truefusion replied to bthaxor's topic in Operating Systems
I saw the video, that's very odd. Did this start happening when you first booted into Ubuntu or some time afterwards? I couldn't really tell from the video (though i think i saw a drop shadow for the panels), but did you enable desktop effects for your account? -
Since you didn't specify for what operating system you want it for, i'm going to just toss things in the air, and you catch them. Kmeleon (Windows), Epiphany (Unix, Unix-like, Cygwin). I'd also recommend Konqueror (Unix, Unix-like, Cygwin), but i'm not sure if you'd consider its appearance simple. Keep in mind, though, that none of these don't have a bookmarks feature; good luck finding one that doesn't, though.

They're Narutarded! The cursed cartoon straight from Japan
truefusion replied to takotsu's topic in The Vent
I happen to like Naruto. However, there are catch phrases that are becoming annoying in today's anime, like "I will never forgive you," "How nostalgic," "It can't be helped..." etc... Did you know the creator of Naruto was a DBZ fan? Ha, same here. A lot of the English voices for these characters sound depressing, emotionless, and odd. They should do a voice change. -
Although this is taken from somewhere else, i'll still add my thoughts. Doesn't this imply that dreams or nightmares accelerate the death of brain cells? I mean, when does your brain rest? If your brain ever did rest, you (your body) would eventually die. These two seem contradictory to me. You don't need to talk to promote brain efficiency.

I Need Some Help Understanding The Jewish Religion.
truefusion replied to Mermaid711's topic in Health & Fitness
In your Bible, check in the back, there may be information in it that can provide you with information on the subject; i know mine has some information in the back. But i'll try to answer some questions from what i can remember. I don't think they had any prayers that they were to follow from the Jewish law. I've only seen such from Islam, and it's not taken from the Jewish law like some other laws are. Exodus 23:14-17 (according to the new testament, they would sacrifice the Passover Lamb on the day of Unleavened Bread); Leviticus 25:1-17; there's also circumcision, and probably others, but i can't remember any more. Most likely the same ones Christians are taught; however, many Jews don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah. The New testament Gospels can be helpful, too. If you want to know more, read the first five books of the Bible. -
A couple of suggestions: Replace: while($r=mysql_fetch_array($result)){//variables from table$time=$r["time"];$id=$r["id"];$message=$r["message"];$name=$r["name"];?><?php $time ?><br /><?php echo $name ?><br /><?php echo $message ?><br /><?php } ?>With: while($r=mysql_fetch_assoc($result)){//variables from tableecho $r["time"]."<br/>\n".$r["id"]."<br/>\n".$r["name"].":<br/>\n".$r["message"]."<br/>\n";}?>to save some space, and to receive an associative array from the result. And since the form is going to be submitted to the same page it's in, you can have simply this: <form action="" method="post">

Post Rating Module Installed Rate member posts
truefusion replied to bthaxor's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
Ah, okay. I was getting confused thinking my votes for other's posts would show up in that one post i rated, and not show the user's universal stats along with that user's post's stats. It seems some symbols take up more priority in alphabetical order, in case of a draw—this would explain why Alex's post is, as of this post, marked artistic. -
Post Rating Module Installed Rate member posts
truefusion replied to bthaxor's topic in Alerts, News & Announcements
I've noticed that all moderators' posts are automatically considered "informative"—perhaps remove this? I can see this script being useful in the Suggestions forum, and somewhat in general. Abusing the rating system isn't that big of a problem with me (though i can see all of S_M's posts being rated as spam ). I was wondering a bit why a description of this script wasn't mentioned, though. Also, i'm not really sure how the whole system works. Why are there two: a "Was Rated" and a "Ratings Given"? Also, looking at Alex's post, i see the artistic symbol rather than the agree symbol. Having the credit system be affected by this script is not a good idea, especially for those who think this script can and will be abused. -
Command prompt, eh? I would assume that was the virus setting itself up; but i can't say for sure. However, have you been logged in to your IM client? If so, have you randomly seen "yourself" send files to other users on your list(s)? Or has anyone asked you, "What's this you're sending me?"? I've had a couple of friends that got infected by those "I think this is you in this picture" messages, which i was IMed once by it. Mostly people that go on social websites like MySpace are likely to get infected by these kind of IMs, i would assume. Is your anti-virus software up-to-date? Or perhaps i should say, is the name of that worm you found in their database?

If you dual-boot with another OS, perhaps you should switch over to it for the time being until you can figure out if you're clean.

[1]They're pointless.[2]Only got IMed by one, once. [3]Use "common" sense, and convert to Linux. [4]I can't really answer this one.

Can Anyone Post Your Free Site To Show Samples?
truefusion replied to MrSandMan's topic in General Discussion
You may also be able to find members' sites in their profiles (like mine). Under their "Personal Statement," there should be a link labeled "Visit My Website." If the user is hosted here at Xisto, most likely that link leads to their site that is hosted with Xisto. -
Bible-in-a-year Im going to try to do this.
truefusion replied to tricky77puzzle's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, perhaps i'll keep track of your blog. I have yet to read the entire Bible, too, and have been highlighting verses for easy referencing—you might want to get a highlighter as well, and in different colors too. I hightlight all the useful verses in yellow, Book names in green to prove that i've already read that book or epistle or whatever; i was planning on using blue for OT references to Jesus. In the meantime, i'll be working on my own Bible Translation in OSIS format, a PHP-based Bible Study web application, and an Ubuntu-based Christian distro. This should be interesting. -
Custom Titles? what are they all about?
truefusion replied to tricky77puzzle's topic in Web Hosting Support
I remember that for me i didn't see the field until i reached 501 or 502 posts, but it may be different in your case. And a reduction would be nice. -
http://ww2.cs.mu.oz.au/~aaron/prog/baobab-macos.shtml Just came across this site, and remembered this topic. The original program has become dependent on GNOME, but this link provides some help on how to install it on a Mac OS. This page also provides where to download the program and a list of the dependencies it requires.

Mind editing the link? Seems to me like the "link-shortening" script messed up somewhere.
-
Hmm? You mean you don't want them to see what kind of server-side script you're running? You might want to look into mod_rewrite for the Apache server. With this, you can make your URLs appear like if the browser is accessing an HTML file, when really it's accessing a PHP or ASP or JSP, etc, script. Either that or give your HTML pages the ability to process PHP scripts.

Looks like something you'd see in Python. But i've been spoiled by the curly brackets. It's so much quicker to type curly brackets, which is why i haven't taken the time to learn Python.
