1. What operating system are you aiming for? If this is intended for Linux, it would be easier. But if it's for Windows, you may have to recompile the entire thing or you would have to make a separate installer that installs these plug-ins after it installs Firefox.
2. You are right for the most part about ships with tracking devices. W.. err... The government is in control of their production. Since these companies are sponsored by the government, they are forced to build the way, err, the goverment wants. As for those who were alive during the time where technology was not this advanced, the Bermuda triangle had its purpose. As for Magellan, proof: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_Magellan—w.., err, he was taken care of. As for the 18 that made it, they were government officials (yes, it goes way back). These eighteen survived because they, being hired assassins, eliminated the competition. Who could prove wrong their story? Just sit out in the ocean, do some fishing, then come back home. If any proof was needed, they had some leftovers from the other islands. As for planes, yes, that one was a toughy. Now-a-days it's easy. These planes do indeed fly—be sure of this. Projectors, however, do not activate until no land is visible. Technology has advanced enough to be able to produce computer generated environments. I tell you, computer generated clouds are the objects that easily fool people. Once land is visible (there are cameras that see beyond what a human eye can see), they slowly but surely start manipulating the environment and the (super) computer starts generating the land, then slowly fades out the projectors. The pilots are all in on this. As for planes during the time that this technology was not invented and where planes could actually travel to great distances, document for these events are a bit old and not many could be obtained. But i got a glimpse of how some things were done. Some hijacked planes and took hostage the pilots. They used tranquilizers and other methods to delude the pilots. They would previously build a plane that looked identical to the ones the pilots were flying, only with certain modifications, of course. They used radio waves to send signals to the plane itself to keep it steady in course and then later activate auto-pilot. But this was just one method of handling things. And by the way, your efforts to get passed the ice walls are futile. The ice walls themselves are but illusions—where you see one does not mean that there actually is one. And yes, w.. err, the government put great efforts to make these illusions catchable on picture. But what is beyond the ice walls, you shall never find out. Give up now while you still can! The Penguins know everything.
3. Since my last statement, i have purchased and played COD3. And i must say, no way is COD2 better. I've been a Call of Duty fan since part one, and i must say that with each new release, the Call of Duty games just keep getting better. I have played part 4 and loved it. It is so realistic, that when you play the other older versions, they appear cartoonish. But to get back to Call of Duty 3, the graphics have increased since COD2, even if it wasn't by much. Gameplay has become better, especially multiplayer. The game may be as short as the others, but multiplayer is where the action is at. There may be a lot of bugs and glitches in the system, but that doesn't matter much to me. And i love the fact that you don't have to go around looking for health in order to heal. COD2 blew COD1 out of the water, COD3 blew COD2 out also, COD4 to COD3, and i can only assume COD5 will make COD4 appear obsolete.
4. I'm assuming $this->is_enabled is returning false. Since it's returning false, the bret variable will not be set. My only suggestion is to make the if statement have an else: if($this->is_enabled){$bret = $this->writeToFile($t_log);} else {$bret = FALSE;}And the only reason i can think of why the error appears twice is because the function LogString is be-ing called twice. I say all of this bearing ignorance of the rest of the script.
5. I personally use Geany. It's a lightweight IDE—very lightweight, it opens quick! It has many of the features that have been mentioned in this topic for other programs. You can find out some of its features in this article: Perfect Programming IDE. The main feature i like about it, though, is how when you're typing out a PHP function, it pops out what they call a "call tip" informing you about what parameters the function takes. This is helpful, as i don't need to constantly have to look at the PHP manual when i forget about a certain function. Geany also supports over 30 different filetypes. Geany is also open-source, and can be installed in basically any operating system. Also, if you know how to edit its configuration, you can create custom statement or loop auto-completions for certain filetypes. For example, let's say i'm typing out a PHP if statement, i just type out the word "if" and then hit the tab key, it then fills out the rest of the statement (parentheses, curly brackets, etc). It also has a scribble area at the bottom where you can leave yourself some project notes.
6. The only problem, however, comes when we try to figure out who were the first two humans or at least our origin. For if the process of birth deals with two humans of the opposite gender having sexual intercourse, then if we were to follow the genealogy, we would be left with two. But to explain how they got here goes beyond the question, "Why were we born?" However, the topic starter has asked a question that goes beyond that question by asking, "Why were we created?" 1 and 4 are because of a direct mutual consent between two beings that are opposite in gender except when the sperm came from a sperm bank, then it becomes indirect. 2 causes us to go back to our origins and further. 3 causes us to consider if we are really different, and if so, why? The thing about 2 is that i have my own beliefs, and may be better left for another topic. And the thing about 3 is that we are fully capable of acting like the animals, that is, "uncivilized." And we are also capable of acting not like the animals, that is, "civilized." This is what makes us different—this is the why. That answer may suffice if the topic-starter asked, "Why were different species created?" rather than "Why are we different...?" If humans were the only ones in existence from other animals, then we'd all be herbivores. There would be no need to eat each other if there are (other) food sources that are fully capable of providing us with the needed nutrients for survival.
7. The only other thing i can think of is firewalls: Do you have any firewalls running that are blocking communication for those ports? If you have Windows Vista, it may include more than just firewalls, but i'm not sure on that. Try CONSOLE netstat -a to see if any other program is using these ports beside the ones you want.
8. All the variables in userClass.php, instead of assigning them false, give them a zero. I don't know if this will help or not, but i would assume it won't have trouble converting an integer into a string as it did with false.
9. You might already know this, but in PHP5, OOP has been rewritten. I'm no expert in this field of PHP, as i've just gotten into learning it, but instead of giving that variable a boolean value of false, try 0 (zero) instead. It should bear the same results if you were to include it into an if statement.
10. I don't believe you're taking every word i mentioned into consideration. I mentioned that your suggestion implies that. Whether or not it was your intent is another story. Yes, you did not mention it explicitly, but you also did not do away with any false implications (false in the sense that it was not your intention) in your previous posts. Believe me, i am not taking your suggestion personally—it has nothing to do with me in the sense of bad grammar and spelling. And i did not react from a place of insecurity. I am merely trying to make your suggestion be what it is supposed to be. You say enforce the rules, we do—it is not only our job as moderators but a command from admin also. You say enforce one rule more than the other—we will and do, when we find the user violating just that one rule, otherwise, why emphasize one rule more than the other as to imply that the other rules are to be followed to a lesser degree? You say that the rules are being overlooked, as i mentioned before, people don't normally come here to look at the rules and we can't monitor every single user. It is common for people to overlook rules. It may be common sense to first look at the rules before joining a hosting forum, but many believe that a lot of forums just basically follow the same rules—this is just one of the many reasons why rules are overlooked. As it is, it is not what is currently established that gives the impression that things are being overlooked, it is the effort by others that gives that impression. [1]My point exactly. But by taking the time to slander, you are in fact showing that you are reacting from a place of insecurity. And i am just suggesting that you take the time to help us form better ways than what is already established. Your slander, however, will in no way discourage me into arguing my point—as you been so far seeing. It may work on others, but i can put forth my suggestion all day long. And do you tell them how to improve? You're still avoiding my over-all question. You gave us your reasons why you want one rule emphasized more than the other, but you have still yet to explain how to go about it other than how we are already doing. To continue in this fashion is to continue to allow us to do things the way we always have. If then, why even start this topic? If this is the kind of question you claim to be discouraging, then tell me how it is not justified for its own sake. Though there may be no regulations as to how to go about in making a suggestion, you can't just make a suggestion that basically tells us to continue doing what is already established for us to do. If merely asking for other forms of tactics is discouraging, then i am not to blame for giving discouragement. It is your own choice on whether or not to take any form of emotion towards a matter. And my statements are said in an attempt to gain further feedback. Can it not be seen that way at all? If it can be seen that way even by an inch, then it is improper to say that they discourage further feedback. [1]Not entirely in this case. [2]Like you mention previously (emphasis by me), "valid feedback." Your suggestion is invalid in the sense that it is incomplete. Again, you are not taking all of my words into consideration. I shall place emphasis, again, on what i have previously mentioned: users with small posts are usually the ones that write the way you are not fond of. And although some people take the time to butcher words to just fit in with the crowd, i would not go around believing that such is always the case, as people may do it out of laziness or whatever other reason they give themselves. Had you bothered to take the majority of my post into consideration, we would already be discussing new ways on how to better enforce the rules other than the ways that are already established. I may have been wrong in the other topic that is irrelevant to this one, but i see not how i am wrong here. If you will be so kind as to refer to my last post, we can start figuring out ways to better enforce the rules than what is already established. Merely saying kindly enforce the rules, especially one above the other gets us no where. Why? Because, as i have mentioned and will continue to mention—we are, and with the ways currently established. [1]Tell me how i am not in any way justified in my statements? And i am trying to make your suggestion what it's supposed to be; it is not a tear down, but an attempt to improve, even if you see it as a tear down.[2]Sure, when we come up with ways other than what is already implemented, for obviously you do not believe that these current ways work, or else why start this topic? If you do not believe that the rules aren't effective, now's your chance to say so (even though you had other chances). [3]How do my statements bear no good reason for being mentioned? Now's your chance to justify yourself in your slander—if it is at all possible to justify slander. [4]First of all, a lot of us in this topic can be blamed for spamming. Secondly, to respond in a topic to spam is spam. Thirdly, you too are guilty of flaming. And last but not least, addressing someone is not limited to topics and posts. [5]If you mark me guilty of adding fuel to fire, then it would be unjust of me to take the action that you feel i should have taken. And if i were to do such, there would be more than one person i would be speaking against in such a manner. But what is my crime? Merely suggesting—yes, suggesting—that you help come up with ways other than what is already established, for you are the topic starter. You are therefore obligated to improve the current system—and to do so requires a how. I would not say this is a crime, as it is perfectly fair. But, for some reason, you continue avoiding it.

I may sound like a monotonous gong, but, so far, it can't be helped.
11. You don't require Flash to do it, but it would make things appear a whole lot more stable, since the Flash movie will include all the sounds needed. You can produce the same effect with JavaScript, but that would require preloading all of the sounds. I, unfortunately, do not have access to any Flash production software, and i am uncertain how to go about it in JavaScript. I can research a few things for JavaScript if you want, but i can't make any promises.
12. Those who make a suggestion—it is their job to help others implement a working and effective solution into making a suggestion a reality, or else why even make a suggestion? Your suggestion is really just a piece of the whole picture; a strategy with no tactics. Your suggestion implies that the staff here in Xisto are not fully accomplishing their duties as staff. Many users do not normally come here planning to learn the rules or even care to first look at the rules upon signing up, these users are mostly here for the hosting—but you see, when they apply for their hosting, that's when the rules become more apparent. But not all users apply for hosting—this is one of the drawbacks. The Introduction Forum: this is one way members, including staff, help enforce the rules. But not all members introduce themselves. Shoutbox: yet another way in helping implement the rules—and not just the members helping others, there are shortcuts found in the red area above the shouts. Hosting applications: yet another way to enforce the rules, because in order for their application to be accepted, their posts must show that they have followed the rules. And i'll tell you one thing, users with small posts are usually the ones that write the way you are not fond of—and in this case, they're basically spamming the forums. Reports: yet another way to help enforce the rules. If any of these methods you find unsatisfactory, then so be it. But until you finish up your suggestion (include the tactics, as i have stated above), we will continue using these methods in the best way we know how and can. There are drawbacks to each method i've stated, but each can back the other up. You may continue calling us cowards and whatever else you please, but slander gets people no where. Now, i shall ask again (but slightly different): Do you have any methods, other than the ones i've mentioned, to better enforce the rules? You could continue avoiding this question, but that's not going to satisfy your suggestion.
13. Anyone can tell someone what to do, but that doesn't mean you're helping them. Sure, telling the ones that cut words up intentionally to spell words out entirely is all that is required, but for the ones that are still in the learning process—they need more than just a command. It's like a person with no money asking you for food, and you telling them, "Go eat," without giving them something to eat. You might argue that we are not obligated to feed these people, but if you want something to be done about it, then action is required from those who want a change. The part that everyone has a problem with is how to go about in enforcing the rule. So far, the only suggestion has been more reporting—do you have any? How about Misanthrope? I have not seen any suggestions on how to go about in enforcing the rule from you two. But what further brings this discussion down hill is the implication brought by the suggestion "enforce the rule:" To enforce means to give out actual warnings. What keeps this implication alive, though, is the implication given by the emphasis placed on the word "warning" in post #6 of this topic. [1]Calm down, that would include you also.[2]Read my second paragraph in this post. [3]Read my first paragraph in this post. And we thank you for reporting these posts in the past. We just hope you continue doing so where we are ignorant and are unable to attend the post and or user.

Now, any suggestions in how to enforce the rule better other than more reports?
14. The staff can only do so much, as it is humanly impossible to view every single post. Non-staff members are fully capable of helping the staff enforce the rules around here, not to say that non-staff members should take matters into their own hands but to report any posts that appear to be violating the rules. New members appear every now and then, and we cannot monitor them all. We will surely enforce the rules when needed, but non-staff members can help point things out, too. All opinions are biased. Warnings, however, is not limited to an actual warning; verbal warnings are included also. I think she meant that a literal warning should not be given immediately, but, rather, a verbal warning the first time around.
15. It is has been known for a while now that Google uses a modified version of Ubuntu known as Goobuntu. Google has said that they will not release this distro out to the public. But it's interesting to hear that Google has been helping out Ubuntu's development.
16. Call your internet service provider and tell them you want a dynamic IP address instead of a static IP address. Normally, ISPs provide their service with dynamic IP addresses by default, as it is cheaper this way. Some ISPs charge you extra to have a static IP address. And i wouldn't call it "convert," as all IP addresses follow the same format.
17. Check if all the pins on the end of the monitor cable are there. Sometimes you can do without one, but most are really important. If you're missing one, then that's probably the reason why you're getting no output, and you may need to get a new monitor.
18. It looks like the same can be done in InkScape and the GIMP. But a tutorial will clear all doubt.
19. Looking at your current posts (and excluding the sig/banner requests), yes, i would say the cause for your requests not getting approved are because you have not fulfilled rule number 1. But you are not far from accomplishing rule number 1.
20. All sig or banner requests must first be approved by a moderator or admin before it becomes visible for users to see. The requirement for having your request approved is explained in the pinned topic in that forum. By not meeting all of the requirements, your topic will be subject to being closed. The requirement which most requesters have trouble with is rule number one. To define a quality post, it is a post that meets a certain length—nothing short. This post right here would be satisfactory enough to be considered a quality post for a requester. You can have a lot of posts—but that won't get your request approved.
21. That's not saying much. If you refrained from mentioning what kind of problems they have because it's a private matter, then this topic was started in vain. Because of my ignorance, i shall say: I believe in working things out. Break up should be done as a last resort unless there is physical or emotional abuse. If you keep pushing him to break up, then of course he's going to sort of want to do it, but the fact that he doesn't want to hurt her because of a break-up proves that he still cares—to whatever extent it may be.
22. I'm not sure what the name of the song is, so i left it out of the title. If you could tell me the name of the original song, then i will rename the file in the format you specified. I'm not looking to make money off of this or anything, i just wanted to mess around with the pack.
23. Actually, Unix uses this too. And Unix is a lot older than DOS. Unix, last i checked, came out in 1969. But to add to your other statement: When you include the root directory by including a forward slash in the beginning of the file path, this does not neccesarily mean your "public_html" folder. It means the root of the system itself; assuming the system is a Unix-based system; other systems may be different. Assuming i understood you correctly: Yes, that would work. But it is a security flaw if you allow ../ in _GET variables without verifying the extension.
24. I've downloaded the midi pack and put it together, with a few modifications of my own, to form a 4-minutes-and-58-seconds song. The song itself took about 15 minutes to render into an MP3. I didn't go all out with effects, too, though. Here's the link to it: DJ StarSkream (In Vain Remix). Nice midi pack, btw.
25. In an .htaccess file, type in the following: php_value register_globals on and place the file where it is needed. See if that works. I hear register globals are non-existent in PHP 6, so it may be better to install OS Commerce manually by downloading it from their site.
