Foreign investment is good if they make investment into "smaller" clubs. This will ensure that the smaller clubs will have the spending power to match the bigger boys. This will ensure that the league will be more interesting, thus attracting better players which will translate to higher viewerships. But if the investment is on the big boys, it will only strengthen their grip on the proceeding and soon the league will be one that is predictable and boring. Instead on capping the foreign money, the authority should put a cap on the transfer money. This thing about free market, it will bring the game to its knee.

I like the design but the only minus point for me, the repeated gradient background. I have the perception that the content is separated at the "start" of the background. You should expand the background image height to as high as possible so that one wont see it repeating. Else, do away with the gradient.

Hmm.. that sounds like quite a far bit of activities that should not be labelled as sports. Bowling, archery, darts, fishing, horse-racing (and also dog racing), *BLEEP* fighting, cricket fighting, snooker (billiard, pool), etc. I would label them as leisure activities rather than sports.

From personal experience, loading a web page on different will have different loading time. For me, I find that chrome loads the fastest, followed by IE and then Firefox. I am not sure if that is what you experience as well. Wondering in those plugins like firebug and etc will slow down the loading time.

When I first look at the website, I gave me the impression that it is from the past. Repeated background images with a simple looking ticker on the top. Coupled with big icons and a "plastered" logo, that makes the whole thing look so ancient. I think you will go well if you could re-arrangement the layout of the content. First and foremost, when you say "your community", do you mean your community as in the real life or the virtual ones? If you mean virtual, I do know of a networking site that does it. But then, you will have to get your community to join the site in the first place.

A relaunch will require a new look and new functions. Does your forum cater to the masses or is it for a niche group of people. If the former, most likely they are losing interest in the website and therefore you need to give it a new look and add in some functionalities. If the latter, you might want to organise some activities, ie, contests and maybe a meeting up session.
