usually I tend to stick with AMD for a variety of reasons. One of them is that they tend to be cheaper to complete my tasks at an excellent speed. Ideologically speaking, I support AMD because I support competition in any industry. If it's not for AMD, Intel won't really be that innovative and would have processor cost a lot. That or we all go to other architectures if it gets ridiculous.AMD's the only x86 competitor left.

It is unknown on the Chinese government's stance on free hosting. However, if you can visit this website, most likely you can get hosting. As for Chinese, I don't think you can host a website in full Chinese content. If Trap 17's rules are the same as Xisto (I'm a moderator at Xisto); then only English is allowed as hosting content.

It is, in theory, such a possibility for destroying the whole Internet. At the same time, destroying all electronics in the process. It's if a nation decides to blow the world's economy by dropping a massive EMP bomb. It will take us a good half of a century to repair this damage. it should be under /dev/sda ... try redirecting ur player to play from there instead of /dev/hdb or /dev/hdc

You just need w32codecs. sudo apt-get install win32codecs if that doesn't work then, you'll have to manually download and extract the archive to /usr/lib/win32 http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

hey y'all,my friend recently reinstalled her laptop with Windows XP SP2. However, when I tried to help her install the driver, her laptop can't figure which is which.I tried to tell her to install the driver provided by Toshiba for the LAN adapter on "Ethernet Controller", however Windows keeps rejecting the .INF.If anyone has a solution, it would be greatly appreciated.xboxrulz

Hey all Java programmers on Trap 17, I'm wondering is it possible for Java to communicate to another computer through a Bluetooth device? The reason I ask this is because I want to create an instant messenger that would be using the Bluetooth "network" so that people can use their computers to communicate from one to another without the use of the Internet. This is very useful in situations where you want to talk to a friend nearby but does not have access to the Internet and cannot talk to them in person. I prefer Windows 2K and Server 2003 over Windows 2000 and that's definite!2K and 2003 is much stabler than XP and it's much faster!Furthermore, XP, Linux and MacOS X can do plug-n-play.xboxrulz

Windows Vista Beta 2 is like Windows XP 64-bit .. it works just like it it was just a proof of concept. It doesn't really work and it's very slow. Furthermore, it's too bulky and it looks just like MacOS X.xboxrulz

you do have valid points on Linux's bad side. Linux doesn't have professional software like Photoshop or the likes of that.However, I don't really have any applications that fails silently, try running some of your apps thru Konsole or the GNOME Terminal, maybe that'll help you determine the problem.xboxrulz

Yes, Linux can be very easy if you took a lil' lesson to learn how to use it. Sometimes Linux is even userfriendlier.However, about Red Hat 7 and Red Hat 9, is because one is using the 2.2.x series (7.0) and one is using the 2.4.x series (9.0). However this has been resolved between 2.4.x and 2.6.x. You can run 2.6.x programs on 2.4.x and vice versa.xboxrulz

I find Ubuntu very annoying. Actually any distribution that is Debian based is annoying. It's very restrictive when you compare it with SuSE or Fedora Core.

I recommend using Puppy Linux, it's only 50MB in size. Yet, it's not so easy to use as other Linux distribution as SuSE Linux (usual Linux distribution requires at least 128 MB RAM to run and w/ the recommended space of 20 GB (for software and etc.)Puppy Linux can allow u to have GUI or CLI.
