  1. I guess it is this one: I actually think all new phones are looking the same. I don't know which would be "the feel when you hold it in your hand" though. I can't think of any other kind of sensation than like when you hold other phones lol.
  2. If this can help you... The upload is in fact slower than what it says though,...
  3. That's a pretty good way to introduce yourself. Everyone has their own opinions in life but nobody is going to bother someone else because their beliefs or opinions are different. I welcome you to Xisto and I hope that you find here what you are seeking for (the little time I have spent here has proven that this is a good place to come and stay at).
  4. Is there anyway that someone with access to your database could get your cpanel password?
  5. Then it finally means it's processing until you recover from the forum warnings. Processing can mean many things, and this time it means that one I guess.
  6. Most problems are with those programs that have INSANE prices, and their size isn't too big. So, what is most people that got to know Internet do? Either go to the store, waste some money (the dollar here is like x3 times) and buy them or download them that can also take less time?I don't want anyone to think that what I am saying is to download pirate software, but that sometimes it's hard at the prices they have, and most of us are by the known phrase "It's better if it's free". If you really suport a company, you can download their software, and then buy the original software as many of the crackers or torrent sites suggest.
  7. Here we use either the 24hs or the AM/PM system. They're pretty much as easy to use. Once you get to know which are the difference between both they're practically the same.@Xalor: here we use them as well. Why do you say it's always hard to tell if it's morning or afternoon?13:00 is the same than 1PM; 22:00 is the same than 10PM; 01:00 is 1AM. It isn't hard at all.
  8. In fact, there's a big problem with that, that most of people don't know. That can produce a cyst, that has to be removed with a surgery. From what I've heard, it's because human's body still 'remember' about the tails monkeys used to have, and while we don't have the conditions for it to grow up, we can still have problems because of it (DUH). Too bad for me, I think I'm going to have it removed in the future (gens involved). So as the other ones say, you can't see it, it doesn't exist as other thing that a simple little bone. You can't move a tail, since there was never a tail to begin with (unless you were born with some kind of genetic difference).
  9. It's the same girl, I suppose. To be honest, last time I answered the other topic I was practically sure you would be asking yourself such a thing. As Echo says, asking friends could be your best way. If you get to ask them by 'curiosity' then they maybe won't find out your intentions, though it's very hard, and even more when you don't know them very well. Anyway, asking the person itself isn't any kind of threat whatsoever, it's a common question to do, unless you are like 'Hi, gotta boyfriend?' and you're not just kidding around.BTW, did you get to talk to her?
  10. That's what in fact I tried to say, I think I messed up when I said: "let it go down", I was just mentioning the moment that the object that was tossed up in the air looses "positive" velocity and starts earning velocity in the other way. I know it can't go negative, that's why I said that the negative means it goes to the other way... velocity is a vector, and it has module, direction, and way to go; yes, being a module means that it can't be negative. Going way too technical in a physics thread is hard to me since I lack of all the terms used in english, but I think someone could get what I meant.
  11. Nope, it's practically impossible due to the stated facts. The object you drop in the air and let it go down, is either going up with a very low speed or either going down. Imagine the speed is 10m/s, while it's going up it might go down to 0.2m/s and then it might down to -0.6m/s (negative meaning that it's going down instead of up). That's what I think though.
  12. Only 2 days,... that's not an awful customer service, last time I had problem with my ISP it took them more than 4 or 5 x72hs terms (like 13 days). Unfortunately, where I live this was the only Internet provider that we could use, they are practically monopolizing the service at this zone. They came, finally, when we were about to give up the service. We had to call back to tell them to not -finally- remove us. Hell, that's a bad customer service. It wasn't really the last time, the last time at least took only 1 week for them to fix, they didn't have to come anyway, though.
  13. I also don't understand the part where you say humans lived for about 200 years... is there something I missed out from history, or that never happened at all? As for going out of Earth to live in another planet-- I think I cannot say anything about this because by the moment something like that is going to happend it's likely we won't be there even living hundreds of years. Also, we have made lots and lots of movies imagining aliens would come here to kill us; we have actually no clue about that, we don't even know for sure if they exist, but if they do they won't necessarily kill us.Bringing conscience to people about these things is hard since there will always be someone that doesn't want to do what would be better to the Earth and the people that live in it.
  14. Talking about something so technical as being seen is, we have also to be technical in the way the people are seen. You are seen because of the light and the ability of your eyes to pick up the reflected light with its corresponded colors (or something like that, I'm not that updated). In my opinion, there is not, and cannot be, any kind of mentality to change the visibility of a person. Thinking that someone like this can be done with other way than science (like changing your own behaviour), has no sense at all. You can think you won't see someone, but the other person won't. It is just like thinking that you could get also other powers of movies or series. Can it be implemented? Yes, maybe, if it isn't already. I don't know, never went too much into this, but I'm totally thinking that it's impossible other way.
  15. The only advice I can give you based on what you told me is (if you are really seeking this girl as it seems) check to which after-school activity she goes, and try to go to it too- I honestly don't understand how your school works, but I think you can do that based on what I read. I don't see the rush about doing this before the Valentines day? I mean it's tomorrow, right? , and you still don't even know her name, I think you should slow down a little. Also I don't understand why it would have to be before; is something going to happen that we don't know? That's only thing I can suggest, try to enter into her things, better if her class, and then you would be able to start a normal conversation; better go slowly than doing it rushed. You are thinking about her, but maybe (probably) she even never noticed you.
  16. A car isn't necessary- for the record. Whatever you're going to choose to do, just think what you're going to do and have faith in it. You're the one that ultimately takes the decision. We can just give you advices through the computers. Just come back and tell us whatever happened, huh!
  17. Yep, her feeling uncomfortable wouldn't help at all. I don't get how your school works. You can go to other classes? I live in a different country, I can't really understand how that works. You can pick any other class instead of yours? By any chance do you have any person that could get email info or something like that? "You know this person?" and then, get a friend of a friend that knows her.
  18. I think she will wonder if she has ever known you (I would do that myself). If you really feel like doing that, you can try. But again, she might feel uncomfortable, since she doesn't know you, you can expect any output. Asking her to watch your football game is maybe something too rushed, if it means the first conversation with her.I'll give you an example of something similar (well not, but practically same situation). Instead of going to classes I was going to sit down over there to verificate votes from people to the students council group that was going to get chosen. I didn't want myself, but since a friend asked me to do it and I could skip classes that I hated, I went to sit down over one of those tables where it was going to be done. There was a girl from other group I said 'hi' and she didn't answer back LOL, she seemed bored and lonely. Since she didn't care, I really didn't care either, I didn't even know her, was just trying to start a conversation (maybe she didn't know that I was sitting there to do that duty), but well. Then another guy came and then I talked a bit, but I had to go then. You have to keep in mind that there are people and people. It's difficult to know what her output is going to be.
  19. Does that draws her attention? A girl may get impressed when she sees someone that plays good football, but she needs to, at least, show some interest. If you have seen her put some attention on football then that might help (also, you need to know how to play, )Why can't you take her to eat without a car?? May I ask where do you live? Is it mandatory to have a car to take someone somewhere? And I don't say you can't go to her and say hey, but I think you would have to pick up a good situation to make it good. Did you think what are you going to say after saying 'hi'? You need a situation to say, hi, ask her name and then talk about something and make friends. Once you naturally start talking to her, everything will be easier.
  20. I kinda agree with Echo, why do you say you can't do any of those things? A car isn't needed to get a girl, cmon, let's get real, you won't get a girl by having one, and if you only do because of that then you would have to dump her, but that's is another topic-Mhh, this is somehow hard dude, don't you know someone that knows her? You might be able to get to know her that way, else, it's going to be hard. If you come to her and just say 'hi' out of nowhere, she might feel uncomfortable; if you are shy, I guess you would also feel the same way. So, again, the only way to go is to, either, enter part of her activities, thus getting to know her more or getting someone that knows her and/or her email, so you can get her on chat as Echo says.Picking someone that you don't even know for talk is something strange, it hardly ever happened to me: if you're not in correct circumstances she might pass from you.
  21. I don't understand what you mean. You can make someone 'logout' from your system with a few lines. But creating a login without values has any sense?
  22. It seems I had a problem when I edited the post and the link contained the redirect page of the forums once again and it didn't work.
  23. These kinds of websites, from people that have little knowledge on making websites (which doesn't mean they aren't trying hard), are usually this way. They pick up random things, images from random places and put them in (remember the simpsons episode where Homer makes a webpage? they could pretty similar). Also, did you enter by any chance the main page? Because that one isn't the main page. The main page is very long, it's filled up with images, lots of text, and it seems it has no end. Also, being no christian, I don't like this web.
  24. Just in the last tutorial I made a few days ago, the central topic of this tutorial is Javascript/AJAX and how to use to request data from a web when asked, and insert its data into a HTML div container; and also, how to run an action when request has been finished. This is also a script I have tested, cause I'm using it for my website so you can rest assure that it will work. You'll need the Mootools necessary version here. Like the last one, the first line you have to put into your script is: <script type="text/javascript" src="js/mootools.js"></script> where "js/mootools.js" is the directory where we have put the mootools js code in our webhost. Next code is going to be a large one: <script language="javascript"> window.addEvent('domready', function() { $('runAjax').addEvent('click', function(event) { event.stop(); var req = new Request({ method: 'get', url: $('runAjax').get('href'), data: { 'do' : '1' }, onRequest: function() { alert('The request has been made, please wait until it has finished.'); }, onComplete: function(response) { alert('The response is the following : ' + response); } }).send();$('runAjax').removeEvent('click'); }); }); </script> The first part (window.addEvent('domready', function() {})) is to initiate the DOM, which is an API for HTML documents, that we are going to use to comunicate with the other page, and do correct use of Mootools. $('runAjax').addEvent('click', function(event) { event.stop(); 'runAjax' is the id that the link is going to have (I'll post complete code at final to compare). What this does is stop the clicking event, which would take you to the actual web, to make it backend, and request it. The url, then, the href=''; one, the one the link was going to url: $('runAjax').get('href'),) where runAjax is the same link id. The most important lines to the people that want to use this codes are the following: onRequest: function() { alert('The request has been made, please wait until it has finished.'); }, onComplete: function(response) { alert('The response is the following : ' + response); } onRequest is when the request of that file starts, you can put any javascript code in there to make the user wait. onComplete is when the request was completed. It's made in function of the response, cause we are receiving it, and we can use it to report something to the user. Attention: if you want to refresh a div with new data (for example, the response), then this part of the code would have to be like this: onRequest: function() { alert('The request has been made, please wait until it has finished.'); }, onComplete: function(response) { alert('Response received.); $('divID').set('html', response); } That will output the response in the div cointainer with ID 'divID' and will also alert that the response has been received. So, the final code to use this would be: <HTML> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/mootools.js"></script> <script language="javascript"> window.addEvent('domready', function() { $('runAjax').addEvent('click', function(event) { event.stop(); var req = new Request({ method: 'get', url: $('runAjax').get('href'), data: { 'do' : '1' }, onRequest: function() { alert('The request has been made, please wait until it has finished.'); }, onComplete: function(response) { alert('The response is the following : ' + response); } }).send();$('runAjax').removeEvent('click'); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <a href='webtovisit.php' id='runAjax'>Click here to make the ajax request</a> <div id='divID'></div> ///// THIS IF YOU ARE GOING TO REFRESH THE DIV INFO. </body> </HTML> Hope this helps one to understand this, I had some hard time understanding this the first time; everyone seemed to pick it up quickly and I didn't.
  25. As the hacker said, a little sql hole you leave unfolded and you may take great damage for that. They can maybe miss that, it's hard to leave everything with top security when you're talking about making big scripts in mysql, but it's strange they made that mistake...
