  1. Hey Just10m it seems you have answered your question with the last statement you made, company products and the word cheaper are mortal enemies ! The basis of a good company is to make a profit and take hold of the market so by introducing the HVX camera with the option of the P2 cards will lead the mainstream consumer to take that option therefore selling their product and having the medium thats totally theirs aswell - P2.Unlike HDD or FireWire which is a general base medium and can be profited by any company producing those products. In the end maximising profit and market sales for Panasonic. They are not the only ones to do this for example the SD chip or the Infamous Sony memory stick.Another reason for this is diversity as Sony is bringing out the big guns with the introduction of XDCAM and runners up JVC cracking out onboard hard disk recording, it is no wonder Panasonic will opt for P2.
  2. Thats so totally cool i reckon and since i was not dissapointed at all with the way resident evil has gone if they plan it right doom shud be a hit for doom luvers too.... but The Rock cast as Sarge ( i for one am not too keen on that cos i feel he has as much acting talent as a rock)..As for Karl Urban playing John Grimm i reckon thats a good choice ( and its not because he is a Kiwi ... )So all in all fingers crossed for a Doom of a time.
  3. Coke coke coke cos of all the flavours - which i am sure are not the same all around the world cos i know here in the pacific we have raspberry coke and we dont have a few others like lemon coke .... well not anymore
  4. My alltime favourite character would have to be solid snake from the metal gear series. The awesome moves and james bond style yet the i dont give a toss attitude is so awesome, you know you would want him on your side in a battle. Even though his character has developed alot especially in Metal Gear Solid where they delved into his past and gave us an insight into some of the reasons for his hatreds and likes. If you have yet to meet solid snake try one of the metal gears series and you may like him aswell and i hope they bring out a new metal gear for the PS3
  5. For the actual purpose of this post im going to say Invision Power Board i dont want to sit on the fence or say its up to the webmaster and i will also list my reasons for this recomendation:1. The Scripts and Hacks/Edits are comprehensive, easy to install, wide community with a great debug base, and most of all can personalise your forum to be yours and almost totally unidentifiable with the original product.2.The Support as i touched on with the debug base is excellent with the Invision Site answering most of your newbie questions at the index page and search engine for backup. Lots of well developed and keen to help forums by others who like Invision.3. User Friendlyness is number one so far as i have found since i am signed up to several gaming forums with different boards but this can be also dependant on the webmaster and the hacks or edits installed.4. First time forum installer - IPB is easy with a step by step installation and the admin panel is an absolute joy to use.Good luck with your decision its not the one and all cos even i have had a few things go wrong with IPB but its the best of the lot IMHO.
  6. Well i wud suggest two programs and you can use them both or just the authoring software depending on your situation. The autoring program itself is Ulead DVD Workshop which is about $395 US last tim ei checked for the full version because of the guided steps tp make a semi professional looking home video and has a very similar feel to windows movie maker with the story board layout. Modifications - no problem it has in built tools to add menus titles edit and create text and supports a variety of codecs. Just as a note you will need a good system in the moderate to high end range with about 20 gigs of free space to work and be able to play with all of your media. And the second small free and very usefull program i use is dvdshrink for converting all ur final DVD creations to within 4.7 GBs to fit on DVD 5's but as i said earlier if you will be burning to DVD 9 's or higher or dual sided / layered disks then this wont be neccessary.Have Fun
  7. Just to add a bit more on WeaponX in terms of gaming i think almost all forums favor AMD more for being the "gaming chip" and Intel is more the business type multi tasking cpu. Im sure if you did a survey here at Xisto for the gamers ( i assume thats wat u r into) have in their machines, AMD will come out on top. Countless number of AMD 's adverts are aimed directly at gamers aswell so they boast about it and i have not seen this met by Intel. So i will have to disagree on the "its really all in the name"
  8. I definitely agree that nod32 is the best its all i hav been using since the rise and fall of AVG about 2 years ago and its excellent with its pre set In depth analysis and Active monitor feature thats always scanning ur files WITHOUT holding down resources just to make sure is brilliant. I dont think u can get anymore user friendly with its one click options and not to say that it cant be configured for all those experts out there. so im not suprised.
  9. Hi i see almost everyone here is concerned for all the wrong reasons - you seem to care more about microsoft implementing another security measure and how to get rid of it than being glad that for those of us that have actually bought the software can feel safe that its money well spent and not being left with a feeling of being ripped off.Alright fine for those of you that feel microsoft are this big "dictator" like corporation thats just out to monopolize the economy and control the user - Thats perfect business strategy as far as im concerned, to be the one and only, its business strategy 101. But for all the rigt reasons i am glad Micorsoft are headed in the right direction so next time i go to buy a Microsoft product for a horendous price i can feel assured that my hard earned money was invested wisely and some 12 year old script kiddy hasnt got it 25 minutes after its release.P.S. About the "we're to poor" story - get a job
  10. Ultimategamers the program used to show the hitbox info is actually based in a cheat for cs:s and not really stand alone as it is not much use, so to answer you u will have to searchthe web for a cheat that will display vecs and draw boxes. then :NOTE : CHEATS IN CS:S GET YOUR ID BANNED ON VAC SERVERSSo dont say i didnt warn you, you will have to run it on a lan as done in the video or play against some bots on your computer to get used to the hitboxes. Again do not use the program on the internet as cheating gets you banned.
  11. Hey thanks mad crow looks good so far and has a unreal tournament look to it which i have been craving for a while now since source is kind of growing old on me and battlefiled 2 didnt fill wat i was looking for so maybe this is it and its free great. I dont think i will try cube so i will post back soon with what i think im downloading it now.
  12. Unfourtunately it is looking like the release date of early 2005 is also looking hard to reach at the moment but it does not matter to me and a few others i have spoken to, after watching all the trailers i can get my hands on i am ready to give them as much time as needed for the release since its looking so good at the moment with what they have got and if time is what they need lets be patient. Even though i can hardly wait to get my hands on Tifa.....i mean the DVD ^^
  13. I use videolan to play almost all my files except mp3 which i use winamp to do that. Videolan is the one stop shop because it plays mp3s aswell but for sentimental reasons i use winamp. It may not be pleasing on the eyes but thats wat makes it so portable. Another cool feature of Videolan is that in the even of a new codec being released all you have to do is download the latest version of it and install it sets up everything, another great feature which i find extremely useful is it plays corrupt or unfinished .avi files and also mounts .cue .bin files so no need for daemon tools or alcohol which makes life alot easier.
  14. Hi sorry to be a pain if this is obvious but does this apply to dsl as well as 56k or even and especially wireless since this appiles to me most. Thanks
  15. This is a hard one as i could have easily made it a top 10 but i guess ill throw dice or sumthing for the top 3 :)1. Counter Strike (All Half-Life Mods I suppose)2. Unreal Tournament Series3. Halo Series4. Battelfield Series5. Metal Gear SeriesThats is in order of my fav and how good i am at them.
  16. Hey they look real cool but if i may i would like to crit the colour choice since i guess the spacing of the first on has already been stated. The skate on sig is really cool i like it alot except for the blue streak that runs through the name i suppose maybe blue goes well with green traditionally but i guess white would have been the choice id go for since ur other writing is white. and for the last one or the most recent one made everything fits in well except the name raskull, its a wrong shade of green. Well i hope this helps and anyone is welcome to disagree.Good Luck and Good Job
  17. Cheers for the update Derek, im about to check if my site is but it seems its still gona be a while before its integrated or updated by programs such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, which will chech it for me.
  18. Hi, I would like to swap that around to Invision Powerboard first and then phpBB because i feel that IPB(Invision Powerboard) is more user friendly than the rest not only to the actuall users but the host which i think is the purpose of yur poll. There is also a great community of help if you do get stuck with any aspect of your setup such as:http://www.forums.invisionize.com/index.phpAnd as you see here at Xisto there is countless number of mods, hacks and edits that a really easy to install that will make your board unique.Good Luck
  19. Hehe im gona take a shot at this - 5.Street fighter4.Mortal Kombat3. Tekken 12. Tekken 21. Tekken 3,4,5
  20. Hey Sunny NOD32 is the best but its not free it has a one month trial on it so i think maybe AVG would still be the one to go for thats free, reasonably good at cleaning and user friendly.
  21. Just to add to the debate, yes there are quite a few games missing from that list and the best is not on the S.W.A.T 4 (if you have played it you will understand - its not possible to advance in anything above and including medium difficulty without using a squad) but from the list i chose CS:S because yes of the closeness and design to S.W.A.T and ofcourse its squad based as i read that because it has bomb threats doesnt make it a squad based game - Have you heard of Clan Matches the basis of the original counter strike being the number one online game for previous years - try winning a clan match without squads and tactics.
  22. I would suggest three things that i usually try when drivers dont seem to work.1. Get the full set of motherboard drivers not necessarily from the dell site either and install those thet certainly would not hurt.2. Uninstall the actuall device then reboot and try the driver install again maybe it was a corupt first install or sumthing is stopping the drivers from working properly (looking at the properties on the usb device and then checking the code on the microsoft might help)3. Last resort is to acquire a device specifications program of the internet which is usually free which will tell you indepth about the vendor manufacturer model number and various details about the USB without actually opening up your computer and from this search the internet for that specific model / vendor/ manufacturer driver.Hope you get it sorted. Good Luck.
  23. Hey thats really easy to answer - http://www.fraps.com/ '> http://www.fraps.com/ thats where you can get it and next time if in doubt google
  24. You dont have to be any rank all except guest and banned i suppose can grant a use a reputation point with a reason but since the changeover from board systems i suppose the admins are working their way through all important add-ons and rep points isnt one of them.
  25. Good start on a scout site well layed out and really easy to navigate the colour scheme is good too for the earthy rustic feel except the background blue may be a bit much was that chosen for a specific reason because on firefox the bookmark and forum links are hard to see because of the blues being to close. Love the logo by the way excellent effect with the spotlight.Good work Logan. Keep it up.
