  1. Really "help the industry"?! "gives consumer good value?!". Where have you guys been? This product is DefectiveByDesign!
  2. Really?! Everyone raves about these games Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 but I really don't like them much, I played them I bought them but I seriously did not think it lived up to all the praise it gets. My personal opinion is that if you take away all the cameos of popular show and games your left with an game that is dorwning in it mediocrity. While KH 1 was actually good I will admit that but if you look at KH:Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 2 in particular they story is sub par. I mean it has a really really bad story flow goin there... The cameos really didn't have much to do with the Organization XIII plot but rather than water it down and pull for time. I mean half the worlds are carp while some may be awsome I don't think they are enough to completly ignore all the bad areas... In short the cameos don't cut it for me even though they were the mainr eason I bought the games...
  3. I think Rockstar does a great job on its games... Not just gameplay but the social commentary in this game is amazing...
  4. Well if you don't mind DnD based games (the dice throwing thing) and all their complexity at times then I would recomend some of the Bioware games particularly:Neverwinter Nights (PC) - Neverwinter Nights has a lot to offer virtually everyone, even if they aren't already into RPGs. Though that is if they can get past the dice system and its DnD roots. The dice are rolled all in the background so its not noticable but a lot of people will reject this perfectly awesome game before even trying it... If you want more check out the expansion packs & premium modules.Neverwinter Nights 2 (PC) - The recently released sequel to NWN shares all that DND had including a slightly more engaging story if you can overlook the technical issues and the lack of romance plots besides the main (male) one when you have so many companions (though for some that might be a good thing).Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (PC & Xbox) - A dang fine Star Wars RPG taking place in the era of the Old Republic. Kicks the karp outta the new SW Trilogy movies released at about the same time. Doesn't really tie much into it but story wise it is superior! Discreet DND implimentation)Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 (PC & Xbox) - Never got a chance to play it much but I hear its as good as the first if you are craving more. Give it a shot if you played the first one.
  5. What?! no one here played Total Annialation?! Its the predicurser to the upcoming (and totally awsome looking) Supreme Commander!
  6. I wonder how this will play on the 360. CnC hasn't been on consoles forever...
  7. Really? I was pretty good with lockpicks exept with the most dificult of locks or I just automated it then. How was your security skill? But yea there are seveal glitches like that for gold. I know ym brother found a corpse he could loot ininately for gold.
  8. Its already around but as broadband connections improve I expect tos ee a lot mroe games with voice intigration in them. It does wonders on the 360 but beyond Xbox live it is near non-existant besides the more ahrdcore PC clans and like.
  9. There is room and rumor for another $50-100 drop on the premium system. It will most likely happen within the year to further the price point advantage Microsoft has on the PS3.Up the ante per se once Sony gets its act together 'cause with the current PS3 shortage they ahve nor eason to drop the price right now. The faster Sony gets its act together the sooner you can expect a drop.
  10. It is worth it especially with these new gamings coming out. If you do pick ip up you MUST get Gears of War 'cause thats the killel app and the top dog in the 360 box right now. It is definitely worth it if your playing it on a HD TV. You can milk more worth out of it if you have Xbox Live.
  11. Excelent excelent. This is to RTSs as Oblivion is to RPGs.Graphically from what I have seen it is amazing. Sadly I have to turn the settings down for framerate thanks to my hardware being a bit dated but even then it still looks great. The AI has its moments and at tiems can seriously surprise you.I think this game caught the atmosphere of WW II like I have seen only Brothers in Arms do before it with the anrative, story, and gameplay blending near seamlessly together...
  12. Let me throw out a female/android character and nominate Kos-Mos from the Xenosaga series. As a character she really is quite interesting...
  13. I want to know how this will work in the long term. This is brought to us by the same people who grought us the failed beta tapes, the failing UMD, and this new Blu-Ray.But beyond the history from Sony what I am worried about is weather or not the cost outweighs the benefits. Can you really convince everyone to replace their whole DVD collection again be it BluRay or HD-DVD? Then with these overly obtrusive DRMs these products have all been effectivly tagged "Defective By Design"...A format war does noting to help cosnumers, the DRMs inconveniences consumers, and here you are trying to get them to replace their existing collections and/or pay 2-3x more than what they can get a standard DVD version for? Good luck there...
  14. There are many good RPGs besides final Fantasy. FF seems tog et all the attention but to take a look at a few.Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PS1 & PSP) - Based on Norse mythology this is a groundbreaking PS game and now with a PSP port. Best RPG on the PSP to date even if it is a straight port.Valkrie Profile 2: Simeria (PS2) - Prequel to the PS1 game this too is based on Norse mytholigy and is a damn fine action touch, complex, and suprisingly action packed Japanese RPG.Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories (PS2) - Sequel to the underground hit Disgaea on PS2 this is another Strategy Role Playing Game by Nippon Ichi best suited for fans of other stuff like it, and it's chock-full of depth, lasting value, and surprisingly good humor. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PC & Xbox 360) - Quite possibly the single greatest western RPG to date Oblivion takes the Elder Scrolls series to a whole new level with over 200 hours of gameplay. That should do for now the top 3 where you can't go wrong at all. Will go into other dang good series later maybe.
  15. While maybe not in 2026 by 2050 I imagine something much like in the .hack series but to a new level.
