If you want to run Vista, get at least 3GBs RAM or your computer will be extremely slow and laggy and it will be hell..... Also get the latest graphics cards (ATI or NVIDIA) with DirectX10c/10.1c. After that get a dual-core pentium processor......

Ooooooh, you need WinRAR or 7-zip to extract compressed files... you need PowerISO or any other virtual manager to create/mount .ISOs......DirectX9/10 for the latest games.......AVG Anti-virus to you know, get rid of viruses.......Google Desktop because it is pretty......get the VistaVG ultimate theme to get the Vista look without using much RAM.......Acrobat Adobe to view .PDF files.........Windows Media Player to watch mpeg, mp3, avi, etc. files........I think the other people got the rest...=)

I have only had one serious virus called FRUCTA. It made search engines wacky and directed me to go.google.com or something like that. Very annoying. I couldn't search on google. I had to copy and paste URLs into the URL box thingy at the top of the browser.....not very fun. To get rid of it, I reinstalled XP...... =( .....of course I made a back-up of my programs though.

I think you have a Trojan called FRUCTA...... Get some kind of special program that gets rid of those types of things such as SilverSword..... The normal everyday anti-virus such as McAfee doesn't detect those things.....sadly....I was amazed to find this happen to me too......
