  1. By the way, on Logic or on the Unlimited Plan, can I host my blogs/websites and have my own domain? The domain would be from other domain provider company.

Oh sure, you can point your own domain(from some other domain registrar) to your blog hosted at Xisto. Just change the nameservers in the domain control panel to point to comutinghost. If you need assistance post here, and we'll help you.

  2. Hey guys......welcome to Xisto. This is the best free hosting site. You'll enjoy a lot here. We're very friendly people :D and this is very very friendly community.
Don't worry about hosting here. Actually you'll get paid hosting for free. You'll earn myCents (virtual money) for your posts here. You can use that amount to buy hosting at Xisto - Support.com.

First go and register at Xisto - Support.com/billing with the same email address you used to register at this forum. Then after 5 posts you'll see myCents below your avatar. (you may have to wait for 4 to 5 hours to see the changes) Use that amount to order hosting and domain names. Thats it.

And please make sure you read the Trap17Readme and follow the board rules and regulations...

  3. but is there any means ( technology ) to check whether the file which is being transferred in a p2p is legal or copyrighted , i am sure there is not technology for the same , if this is the case then i guess the Bittorrent ( or any such client ) must establish a centralized server before establshing the p2p connection , in the server they have to check and do someething about the file which is going to be trasffered , some key exchange or something , thus making p2p only for legitimate files , then p2p will be rocking i guess , Lets innovate such a technology :D

Thats very very diffucult to implement. Even though if it is implemented, it comes at the cost of performance. Imagine the load on all the servers in the world to scan millions of computers traffic every second to find out some thing is legal or not. It defeats the purpose of p2p technology. And of course, people are very intelligent. If there is a program that checks all downloads to find out its legal or illegal, then people will compress them to some password protected zip file or rar file which can easily pass in the legality checking.

And the main motive in P2P is direct communication between two computers(of course, through some network and third party program). Do you really like it when some one is scanning all the communication between you and me? I think you don't. :D

  4. i know and also there are many sites offering free account for a month with some few posts but i want an account for almost a year.

There is no other way to get a premium account for an year, as far as I know. Getting a premium account for few posts in forums is a good deal and the only easiest way. I agree, the premium points method is very difficult one and will take long time.

  5. That'll be a good news if Microsoft wants to develop a more secure and faster browser and includes it in its future OSs. As OpaQue said, IE is famous and still the major browser because it is inbuilt in Windows. If Microsoft ships its new browser with its future Operating systems then that browser(may be Gazelle) will become the biggest browser soon... :DMay be Microsoft wants to change the name of IE due to the bad reputation it got for security. If Microsoft names the new browser as Internet Explorer 9 or something like that most people consider it just as another version of IE and ignores it even it is secure and faster. So, in my opinion changing its name will be a good idea for marketing reasons. :D

  7. I agree with truefusion.Opera wins because of all its inbuilt features where as in firefox you've to get them as addons. And you'll get most of the firefox addons as widgets in opera. And Opera 10's rendering engine is very very faster. Even though it is in the alpha stage it is definitely worth trying. I'm eagerly waiting for its main release. Opera 10 has the in built spell checker which was not there in its previous versions.

  8. After past experiences, never using opera again - but its ok if your the average person who uses the internet for accounting and playing flash games.
With me, it had to much graphics on there, and my computer is slow anyway - so it didn't really have a nice match with eachother :D

I think Opera is not that much resource hungry...and definitely uses low resources than Firefox. If you are not using it to save your resources then which browser you prefer most?

  9. HI moonheart.........Welcome to Xisto, the best free hosting service. Start sharing your experiences and our friends will join with you. 10. Its affecting me too....dead slow today and yesterday. Its very annoying to get timed out errors. Actually Xisto has always been slower for me when comparing to other websites, but its too much slow today...hope this will get fixed soon...

  11. I had seen this in the news yesterday. This is a very ridiculous act of terrorism. I don't know what they got by this attack. No team will dare to go to Pak again. Actually India recently cancelled its series due to an attack in Mumbai. England and Australia already dropped from tours due to security reasons. Its the Srilankan team that dared to go and this is the gift Pak had given to them. I know its the attack of terrorists and Pak has no intention in doing this, but it showed us how much security Pak has provided to Srilankan team. It showed their negligence. News papers wrote that there was a warning from the intelligence department one day before that there might be a possibility for the attack. But still they didn't consider to provide more security. Its a complete failure of their security. No doubt, no team will go to Pak in the near coming future. And ICC announced it will reconsider about the hositng of World Cup 2011 in Pak.

  12. Well, I got your point. But its very difficult to reorganize the entire Xisto forum now, and it creates lots of problems. It also effects the SEO of Xisto.

    Personally I don't think its a problem.

And in my opinion if a newbie view the home page of Xisto forum he immediately thinks that its a big forum. So he/she may think it is very easy to earn myCents for his posts because he can find lot of topics that interests him. But if there are only 6 to 7 main categories in the forum home page he may think that this is very small forum and may not be that much active.

Thats my personal opinion when I first saw Xisto. Well, first impression is the best impression, isn't it? :D

You know, there is another associate forum to xisto called Xisto. Everything is same(myCents etc..) at that forum except the number of categories at that forum are smaller and more technical. Just try it once if you wish.

  13. I think, accessing by indirectly he means entering the drive letter (for example G: ) in the Explorer Address bar or something like that. Most probably its a virus as told by pasten. Some of my friends had this virus in their system. Please download a latest antivirus (I suggest Avira Antivirus free) and scan your system completely. Then Format your removable disk. Your drive will work normal after formatting.

  15. Please provide more details. What are the Settings you want to change? Write them here. Usually you can go to BIOS settings by pressing F2 or DEL key (it depends on your motherboard) at the startup of your computer. But first post the problems you are facing. What are the complicated things your computer asking? With those details we'll decide whether it is BIOS issue or something else...
