Account Suspended... (Seems like this is happening a lot)
BuffaloHelp replied to AlphaOfDoom's topic in Web Hosting Support
AlphaOfDoom,Have you brought it back to +4 and waited about 1 hour? I see your hosting credits are just below 3... Anyway, your account was manually reinstated.bhavesh,Your account was manually reinstated. -
In case of this situation, you should access your cpanel and delete the existing .htaccess file under public_html folder. This will fix the situation. The default .htaccess is needed for FrontPage program--nothing else except to customize.Account restored and acting. Thank you.PS, who's Johno and why does he only have 9 votes? I voted

pop and cangor,Thank you for being so patient while I was investigating.Your accounts are now active. I will make OpaQue aware of this situation.

When using Spybot Search and Destroy, try running it from Safe Mode. Safe Mode option can be selected when you press and hold down F8 button when your computer power button is pressed. You will see a DOS like screen with option to run as Safe Mode. What you have is multiplying or regenerating spyware. This is usually an exe or com file that hides under your Internet Temp folder or your main directory (or wherever). When your computer is restarted or starts up this hiding file is accessed and multiplies to install spyware again.Having the latest version of Spybot is very important. Update with the latest Spybot updates and run the scan in Safe Mode. Let us know how it goes.

Sorry for the inconvenience.I do not have a valid reason why your site would have been suspended. I have restored your site and it is now working.OpaQue is being made aware of all mistakes and he will resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thanks for understanding.

There are two login information. One is for account purchase login (via Xisto - Web Hosting) and the other is for your cpanel. Your cpanel login information is emailed once your account is successfully established.Which login are you referring to, Xisto - Web Hosting login or cpanel login?

John,Even giant corporates admit that creating hydrogen from H2O is costly and takes long time. I do not believe any countermeasure of creating hydrogen at a faster rate has been discovered, yet.If any device that can electrolyte to separate hydrogen from water, it would be the end of the current quest "how do we get inexpensive H2?"The second quest is to convince the world hydrogen is safe. But thanks to misconception of Hindenburg explosion, the world will never trust hydrogen and its usefulness. As we now know, hydrogen was NOT the cause of the explosion but, the static electricity sparked by the outer coating of airship's canvas--cordite.There's a U.S. patent of high compressed water pressurized motor that can generate enough energy to move a vehicle at 50 MPH (miles per hour). No other fossil fuel burning device is needed. This same invention is followed by more efficient engine--compressed air engine that clams to move a vehicle at 80 MPH. These patents were invented by an American whose son has taken over advocating compressed air engine. However, due to other ramification, this invention is not widely accepted by automotive industries. You can smell the conspiracy from miles away.On more positive side: scientists are now working on bioelectric engine. Scientists are hard at work on gathering the usefulness of bacterias that release electricity through metabolism. When I read about this I immediately thought of Back To The Future movie where Doc puts banana peels to power the time traveling car. Together with bioelectricity and hybrid engine we can cut 50% of oil consumption, by my calculation. Imagine that a single fill up can last you a month or more, and the streets will be free from litters because they could be the very source of bioelectricity. Ah... allow me to dream

You must bring your hosting credits +4 or more and HOLD for that credit at least for 1 hour. Checking your hosting credits do not reveal you're at this stage. Please bring your hosting credits to minimum of 4 and hold it there. Report back to me if your account does not restore.Thank you.

For the time stamp I have deliberately made double post :)Account is now active and sorry for the inconvenience.

No, it's nothing at your side needs to be done.I believe the upgrading servers somehow led to reinstating script to work improperly.I will be manually unsuspending your account. Hold...

I believe when OpaQue was upgrading servers the connection to database server was lost--perhaps this resulted in inability to reinstate you.I have manually unsuspended your account via WHM and your domain/account is working now.Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a great one!

Group For Computinghost Hosted Members? Is there one?
BuffaloHelp replied to .:Brian:.'s topic in Web Hosting Support
Brian I have fixed your group status to the correct one.Probable cause of this phenomenon is due to your display name and your login name being different from each other. Xisto group member [HOSTED] is tied to hosting credit system script. In fact, all groups are tied to this script. Therefore, creating additional group member would confuse this script and it's something OpaQue is not willing to handle at this point. But for the time being you can create your own Xisto - Web Hosting member banner or title for your signature. And we truly appreciate having a pride for Xisto - Web Hosting. -
The easiest way is to to two backups and two uploads. Here is how:1) for all your HTML files under public_html folder from another hosting, use your backup option in their cPanel. Instead of downloading, you can use their cPanel to FTP directly to Xisto cPanel (assuming their cPanel functions just like Xisto). Once the backup arrives in Xisto hosting account, use Xisto cPanel to extract. This is done by going to File Management > click on the arrived backup file > Extract (upper right hand corner options). Be aware that when you extract, you first move/copy their backup file in public_html of your Xisto hosting account. If you're not comfortable sending their backup via FTP, you can simply choose to download the backup and upload to your cPanel. Once that is uploaded you can use Xisto cPanel to extract. It does not matter in tar.gz or .zip format.2) backup and send/download your MySQL and use Xisto cPanel's MyPHPAdmin to RESTORE your database. Be sure to create the same database name and user permission account for all database related pages. For example, Xisto's database username is something like yourcpanelname_databasename where "yourcpanelname_" is always the default prefix of all Xisto hosting accounts.Let us know how it goes.

Error During Upgrade [resolved] Xisto tells me to contact Admin
BuffaloHelp replied to mrdee's topic in Web Hosting Support
Perhaps due to the recent upgrades in our servers (see Alerts and Notices post by Velma) some requests may not complete on the first try. When I was approving and allowing you to upgrade to the next hosting plan, I too encountered some errors. On the third try I was able to set your upgrade in order. Please wait few moments/hours and try again. -
I too like this idea. Why not create games by real gamers instead of some giant corporation telling the rest of us which game to play? Introducing GDLab - Game Development Lab. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/312-game-development-lab-gdlab/ Let me know if you want to set a standard for this forum. For example, post only new ideas and actual working demos etc. I would like to search and see if anything posted in this section is/can be sanctioned for intellectual copyright.

I Am Having Tonnes Of Trouble.... [resolved]
BuffaloHelp replied to KansukeKojima's topic in Web Hosting Support
rvalkass, you da man!! :)Thank you for supporting one of our members' programming question. Topic is resolved. Please PM any moderator to continue this discussion. Until then, this topic is closed. -
Qupis and Xisto, although they are members of Xisto Corporation, are not related in hosting plans. Therefore you do not "downgrade" when you start a hosting service with Qupis. If you open an account with Qupis, every HTML page will show Xisto's one-line text ad (although they appear as graphics). So, for each and every page you create for HTML and a browser view, it will contain this single ad line--including iFrames. What you should not use Qupis is for storage purpose. This is clearly stated in TOS. You may not use Qupis as a storage place for any other website--including Xisto. Qupis account must function as a regular website with activity that does not stop for more than 30~50 days. Otherwise your account will be deleted without notice.

My new venture shop's computer started to act up. I purchased low-end CompaQ desktop featuring Windows Vista Home with DVDRW drive by TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653L SCSI CdRom device (this description is from Windows directly). I have allowed to install DVD authoring and copying program on this machine. The machine was running just finely and *ahem* duplicating DVD's for shop's purpose. The DVDs did not have copyright notice and it was for piercing tutorials (so FBI get off my back ) Anyway, few weeks ago my shop's desktop failed to copy using DVDFab. At first I thought it was Vista's way of filtering DVD duplication. This happened to me with Windows XP Professional edition after SP2. When I reverted back to SP1 it worked perfectly. But this wasn't the case this time. Has my drive done bad? Operating Roxio to make CD music and data disks it was also working perfectly. So what could have been the issue? I have searched the internet and I came across many threads advising to modify Windows registry--this I was not willing to attempt at this point. I was leaning towards "hardware gone bad," you see. Searching for any error log I have found the following message: Ah, this meant either my DMA was not turned on and my drive is stuck on PIO mode or the writer cannot write to a disk. I know it has worked before but why now? It's the same disk (Verbatim 100 count from Sam's club) and nothing has changed. Searching the internet all I found a solution to this situation was "reinstall the driver!" Leaving registry edit and reinstalling as my last resort I did the following: accessing the DVD authoring program and lower the writing speed from MAX/Recommended to 4X. And look at that! The program is working perfectly and the re-authoring software is working like the first time. So before you go through the somewhat dangerous path of editing your registry or painful hours of reinstalling your driver/OS try lowering or setting writing speed to 4X and work your speed up.

Most likely cause of the situation is the jumper setting not set properly. One must be set to MASTER and the other as SLAVE, connecting the end of the cable to MASTER drive and the middle to SLAVE drive.Hence the suggestions: take out the newly installed drive and see if your computer boots up as normal. The alternative of setting to MASTER and SLAVE is to select both drives as CABLE SELECT. This may slow down the initial POST screen. This depends on which BIOS manufacture you have as your motherboard.

How To Use Hosting Account Center Who can help me?
BuffaloHelp replied to nadazy's topic in Web Hosting Support
There is not a proper tutorial for cpanel except what are listed in your cpanel. Visit the tutorial section.Instead of performing a whole, generic tutorial of cpanel just ask a question (search first) on "how to or how do I use/do this...?" and the replies can be more tailored to your situation. This topic is resolved and now closed. Please permit only one topic of conversation at a time.
