Well heres my tips 1. Drive into a nearby pile of snow, it will slow your car/vehicle down effectively without scratches! Not advised if it is a solid ice wall, or it is actually a pile of stones that has snow on it . 2. Slam the gears into reverse, and gently apply pressure to prevent the clutch from going through the roof. 3. Move the steering wheel left from right very quickly. 4. Drive into people, may leave marks, but generally quite effective also. 5. Don't drive in general if you know your brakes are failing or failed!

I learned to swim since 6 - but until until i was the age of 13 i hated swimming, i dont know why. I love watersports and stuff, but i dont like it in general

Well for me....Televisions: Colour, because i watch Dave (a tv channel that always has top gear) and how can you watch black and white and that?? Please!Photography: It depends on what you are taking pictures of. If it is like a family photo or people then yeah, the fashion these days is to have a black and white photo, but if you are taking a picture of the outdoors then whats the point? You cant point out the shapes of clouds and some objects blend into others because they have the same shade of colour. But however. LCD screens are sharper in black and white than in colour, because the base colour is black and the there are no wasted pixels trying to blend the shades of colours (ie. lots of red, tiny amount of blue, some green) where greyscale is more like (some red, some blue, some green)

Wikipedia is more fun than school - i learn LOADS from that, and its more fun than school because i can browse at pictures at the same time - jokes lol, i dont really do that...School is just a fact of life, you go there to learn, and learn only. If the teachers wanted to, they dont have to do any fun stuff and make you do coursework or essays every lesson - but you should be fortunate that they dont. Also school is the MOST important thing of your life after food and drink. It is where you meet friends, go on trips, have a laugh with everybody and generally the best part of your lives is to be at school.Once you do leave school, you are alone, you have no free time, you will miss doing homework (trust me!), you wont see 70% of your mates ever again (unless you bump into them at town ) and yeah - take it lucky that you actually go to a school, people in the 3rd world dont, and look what theyre doing; walking 5 miles + each day to get water and hard labour that is considered torture in this country.

The worlds best camera must be the Canon 1D - its roughly 6 grand Im getting the 1000d, which is ?400 - but the features on these cameras are amazing. -- I googled a bit, and i found on CNET the top ten high-definition camcorders Apparently the Sony Handycam HDR-SR12 comes in top Image Its around ?799 (average price) - so not bad http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

I bought mine about 3 years ago with my christmas money - it was Ł180 then, but i guess now it'd be no more than Ł120-Ł150. Shop around currys or jessops, sony says they are supposseed to be a supplier for them. -- Its not HD, but yeah, HD camcorders are pretty darn expensive. I would only recommend getting HD if you: 1. Have a HD television + HD dvd box 2. Have plentiful of DVDs 3. Are going to film nature, trees and pretty much darn everything. The DV camera is just standard and good enough quality for home videoing and for memory tapes.

Wow i didnt know that - i just thought everything was done in pixels. Is that still the same for HD games? Like on the 360?

You can count in binary to billion or something? You can have bigger than 8 bits, but 8 is the standard. If we can count in binary, how can it help us? Because computers were designed and made to do calculations extremely fast The computers use only binary numbers, 0 and 1. Why is that? 1 and 0 is just another way of saying ON and OFF. It is the principle of transistors and harddrives. Harddrives are made up of billions of tiny little iron filing like magnets, and when a bit is on then the filing would stand up by a magnetic field, and when it is off it is laid flat. Transistors use 0s and 1s because they are a resistor and a conductor at the same time, so its like that, 1 = Conductor - 0 = Resistor. Its just another way of putting it. Have human made them to do that? Its the only and best way to do it. -- I hope i answered your q's And thanks all for the comments

Good megapixels is not neccessary for a digital (or analogue) video camera, instead, you want to look for the light filtering; white balance; zoom functionality; Frames Per Second factor; weight; size etc... I specifically chose the Sony Handycam HC24E not only because its cheap, and even though its 1.2MP - it has a high framerate, very light, lots of functions and white balancing (ie, environment modes, outdoors, flouresant etc...) and nightmode and photo mode. Not forgetting that it has surround sound recording my review is 5/5 - battery lasts for ages too. http://www.sony.co.uk/support

I just cycle casually, on the average summers day i could cycle 20-30 miles easily? My top speed on my mountain bike is around 35-40mph, and i cruise at 25mph - it gets easy to cruise fast when you have the endurance. :DI also do golf - ahh nothing like a good game

Beliefs Vs Science Rapid growth of science killing Beliefs.
flashy replied to ivenms's topic in Health & Fitness
I dont have beliefs - i only believe in science is because they have hundreds of thousands of pages on just one thing (like for example, the sun) - science is based on theories, but eventually they are sometimes proved. That atom smasher thing only failed because of a leak in the piping, and they are going to repeat it in a couple months time i think.Science is also all based around mathematics, and maths is used for simulating and equating, like particle physics and chemistry.I dont want to put anyone off here, but how do you explain exactly of what something is made of, without using science. -
Well then ill burn the CD! I mean literally, burn it :POfftopic to snow here, but when you have finished with a cd dont burn it with a magnifying glass... Since it makes a horrible smell and makes loads of smoke - Not as fun as dead leaves

Lol, when you pick it up fresh, its like candyfloss. But once you made a snowball its more like a ball of ice. Its cold, wet and annoying - the only good thing about snow is you get to have fun, until your feet go blue, which isnt long for me Personally after an hour i just get sick of it, cause everyone batters you with ice balls that they "especially" crush so they make your cheek peel! Arrgg that hurts... The only good thing of skipping school is to stay at home, not to go outside -- Edit: Sorry forgot to mention, i used up 8 pairs of socks this morning - i do reuse them, tomorrow...

Blame Gordan Brown - it started going like this as soon as he became prime ministerEven though it may not be his fault, everything is laid into his hands and he should be telling us what to do.Why cant the banks just post a huge cheque? "And here is ?9999999999999" - problem solved!

Yeah when i applied SP3 a couple of years ago, it gave my computer a perminent blue screen, and corrupted EVERY single boot file - so the bloody computer would never boot up!Well i suppose that was some time ago, and i install sp3 on every xp machine now - who cares, what they say - i feel more safe with the latest service pack on my machine :DWhy do we need windows anyway? LINUX exsists!

This is the design i have been trying to make for the past week, i am good at css, but its just that i dont have the skills to know what a good website looks like. So here is the url: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - or if that doesnt work - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Please comment and give me tips on how to improve Oh and also please do not mention about the lack of content, since i have not got around to doing that yet, since im too busy playing in the snow

I always go by 1 inch = 2 cm, so its around 10cm - thats about the same as what i have out on my front lawn (wooohooo, we have american snow ) The weather folks (metcheck) say that there would only be 32mm of snow over thurs and friday - *cough cough* - multiply that by 10 lol
-
Woohoo its a blizzard (yet agan...)Our grit supplies ran out, so school is definitely off - its piling on top of yesterdays, so its EXTRA deep .~Ash-Bash - Ahhh, well in that case im going to scan them in and burn them to an indestructable CD

Well for a start i thought this was illegal, since it is in the terms of use of the provider - virgin media says that your avaliabilities should not be tampered with. And seconds ive seen this on youtube many many times, and it just doesnt work for windows xp home since "gpedit.msc" doesnt exsist. And also - why would you need to increase it? Im supplied with 5TB of bandwidth, and that is pretty much an endless supply :DThe new 50meg broadband (40meg guarunteed) that virgin media are giving out has 8TB of bandwidth. (i think)

Aye, me too - i got my first SLR at the age of 5, and i properly learned to use it from the age of 6 - i have several albums of photos, and around 90% of them are amazing. Im going to take photography courses at college got them thanks. all very nice too. a little big bit can be resized with no problems tongue.gif Oooh, you should have said, i would have resized them for you - ohwell, the width set to 500 makes them look perfect And thanks again.

Ive got a better ideaEVERYBODY in england, buy 50 items from poundland - thats enough to feed an extra 3 billion pounds. (?3,047,195,600).Or an even better idea - why dont bill gates donate several billion? I reckon each of the top 100 most richest people on the planet should place foward a donation of a billion pounds (or in their currency), its a tiny portion of their pocket, and yet they dont donate anything to the world.Apart from bill cause he donates alot to charity.

I learn things (programming wise) straight out of the book, my first fully functioning php website was 5 years ago, it had a calculator and a datalogger for our eletricity bill (this was before mysql). But before that, my very first website was around 6 years ago when i made a star sign thing and it told you the dates for each star sign, it was cool, but boring. A year ago i made a flash games site for school (mwhahaha, im such a rebel) which was hosted on Xisto (and still is - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ if you wanna see some history) and basically it goes on from there. I made this rediculous website last year called "flino", also known as the flying rhino - dont ask about it but i made it for the sake of it. And then after i made that, i made a website called "muffiningy", which was going to be about muffins, but it turned out to be an image hosting site with albums and photo sharing. It went well until i ran out of bandwidth. And now im on to Script-Center and IRSaver (internet radio saver) and another site in the future that i have planned for a link bookmarker. -- So it really goes by what you want, but start with something basic, like mathematical functions and clocks. They are the easiest things do really, and after that you can move on to forms and text manipulation and then after that i would recommend you doing MySQL databasing.
