  1. I am sorry I accidentaly pressed the submit button. Ok as I was saying...I'm new to C and i tried to make a C program that accepts an 5-digit integer and prints the middle digit. So I compile the program and no errors are found. The source code is:#include <stdio.h>long a,b;main(){ printf("Enter a 5-digit number"); scanf("%d", a); b=(a%10000)%1000)/100; printf("%d",;}I feel the source code might be wrong right now as I type but I got it right in class. hehe. But whenever I run it on the command interpreter on Windows XP, the command interpreter crashes and nothing happens. I type the same code in Linux and after compiling and pressing the run button it works fine. Is something wrong with my programming, is there something I have to know or is it just that I should not be using Windows XP's command interpreter?

  3. Should student-athletes who fail to meet the minimum requirements required for admission to a university be granted acceptance?I think yes.1. To my mind, their skill is only a ticket to gain entrance into the university. It does not, however, guarantee their immortality as a student and, theoretically, any student privileges. 2. By doing this there is balance in the student population. People with different abilities mix, hence complementing each other. 3. We are giving them an oppurtunity to a) know what they really want to do in life to develop holistically and become competent c) change their attitudes towards academics What do you thinK?
  4. I have two computers, I'll name it computer A and B, running on windows XP.I inserted a cd in computer A and copied files from there and it was ok. When I inserted the same cd into0 computer B, the latter could not read it!I right-clicked the cd on computer on A and saw that it has a CDFS files system but when I right clicked it on B and checked its properties it said that it is RAW <---I don't know what that is. Computer A uses a standard Cd-rom.Computer B uses a Sony Cd-writer with a Nero 5.I used Nero's Drive speed to test the cd-rom and it said it does not recognize the the cd I am trying to use. all help will be greatly appreciated...
  5. I like anything alternative -- Incubus, Senses Fail, Jimmy Eat World. Maybe a little bit of R&B for me to relax my sense. I'm pretty rebelious.
  6. First person shooter games are the best. They keep you adrenalines on a high. I don't about you but I don't see much fun in playing Red Alert 2 and Starcraft in a lan party. These games are better played alone because you do a lot of thinking.
  7. Same here I hate paying for things so I do best to scour the internet for free stuff. 1. Antivir - my anti-virus, I'd say better than mcafee.2 .Mozilla Firefox - browser, I've said my goodbye to all those annoying ads that popped up while I was using Internet Explorer3. Limewire - where I get the latest music and video files for FREE!!! I just can't get it. Original CDS are too expensive for me. 4. Mozilla Thunderbird - e-mail client definitely better than Outlook. 5. Adaware - Thanks to you my computer is spyware safe. 6. JCreator - Java IDE I use to study Java7. Yahoo Messenger -
  8. I had the same problem when I was using Mcafee Antivirus. The computer would take a long time to load. They charge you so must much and give you a lot of trouble. I've thrown away my Mcafee and I tried looking for other anti-virus software. Fortunately I came across Antivir and I am still using it up to now. Unlike when I had Mcafee, my computer loads in less than 5 minutes. I don't know about you but that's pretty fast for me because I have a lot of other programs that load on startup such as Limewire!!!!(this is why it takes 5 minutes for my computer to load. this is probably the one that takes a lot of time.), my Hp Scanner Driver, my Hp Printer Driver, my Lexmark Printer Driver, Java & Adobe Updater etc etc. My memory is about 230 something mb ram because my video card is shared. Try comparing that with your computer to see if my recommendation works out. By the way, you can get Antivir @ http://www.avira.com/de/free-antivirus-windows It comes with a built in updater so it saved me all the trouble of downloading Dat Files in the Mcafee website. Best of all, it's free! No more licensing fees and all those things that are hard on the pocket. I am using Kerio firewall and I think it's okay. I get no annoying pop-up ads plus no more viruses on my system32 folder for months. When I had mcafee I would get 18 viruses for one whole friendster session. I scan my computer on a regular basis and I haven't seen a worm in months. My computer is running fine. I don't know where to get kerio. I just downloaded it from somewhere so just look it up in google or yahoo. Good Luck.
  9. I only used dreamweaver once because I got pissed off by all the customised codes, to make rollovers for instance. I use frontpage but I'm not happy with it because it changes my settings whenever I go to normal mode from html. I don't know with dreamweaver but I find the preview button in frontpage very convinient. I use frontpage to decode all the websites I like to duplicate. hehe.
  10. Mine's 1. dimsum - I don't mind eating dumplings and siomai everyday, 2. chicken - buttered chicken, grilled chicken with lots of rice. 3. vegetables - potatoes, carrots, leaves, asparagus with butter and pepper!! yum 4. spaghetti - with lots of olive oil, shrimps and clams. Our team medic recommended this to us. 5. shrimps - just can't get enough of it. 6. sausages - Frankfurters for breakfast with whole bread and butter. Fruits: green apple, green mango, anything that's bitter and green. that's why I'm hyperacidic. no sweets for me. I'm 17 and I weigh a measly 115 lbs. I'm so underweight.
  11. I play minesweeper on my dad's PDA whenever I have to wait for someone or something or just to kill time. I've tried teaching it to my classmates and they just can't get it. I like playing fields with big sizes because it gives you a good feeling after you finish it but also leaves you frustrated when you click on a mine when you're about to finish. damn!!!
  12. 3 megapixel cameraUsb portradiomp3task schedulerlarge screene-maila program that types every word I say should be light yet large enough so that I would not miss it. fits my life.
  13. Thank you very much. How did you learn all this? Did you analyse their binaries or something?
  14. I used to play the guitar contemporary style a few years ago using the thumb and index finger to strum. Just recently I took up classical guitar lessons and I found it really cool because I've been able to play a lot of contemporary songs, such as the Acoustic version of Pardon me, stellar and other contemporary songs with lots of plucking in them, that I couldn't play before using the the thumb and index techniques. And I find a lot of spanish ballads and other pieces with excellent mellodies -- Forbidden Games, Sunburst, Leyenda, Alahambra. I prefer classical over contemporary style thumb and index finger way of playing because there are a lot of techniques that will help you develop your guitar playing skills.
