The best method I heard to build one of these is as follows:1. Bring an asteroid to Earth and put it in geosynchronous orbit. The asteroid would be carbon rich so you can use the carbon to make the actual cable. Geosynchroous orbit means that the asteroid is orbiting around the Earth at the exact same speed that the Earth rotates. This means that the asteroid would always be above the exact same place on earth. The asteroid also has to be the right distance from the earth's surface. It needs to be far enough away so that the gravity from the earth is counterbalanced by the gravity of everything else. (Or somethign like that)2. Break a chunk of the asteroid off, this will be your counterweight.3. Start building a thin cable that you will lower down to earth. This is your guide wire for the thicker cable to follow later.4. Put the counterweight on a cable and start letting it out of the side of the asteroid facing away from the earth. At the same time you are dropping the guide wire off the side of the asteroid that faces the earth. The weight of the two cables balance each other. The counterweight on the end of the far side cable means that you only have to let the far side cable out a little bit for each length of cable that you drop toward earth.5. The cable that is on the near side and being lowered toward earth will be held up by the weight of the cable and counterweight on the far side. Eventually the cable will be lowered enough to grab it with something from the surface of the earth. What you need to do is start reeling this cable in on a very large drum that is secured to the earth.6. Once you have the thin guide cable attached to both the earth and the asteroid you can start building the real cable the same way. You drop it down to earth the same way. Making sure to let the counterweight out as you drop the thick cable to keep them balanced.7. The weight of the main cable is still being held up by the counterweight. The guide wire is only there to keep the main cable from being blown from side to side by the wind once the main cable is in the atmosphere.8. Eventually you have one end of the main cable down on earth and you plug it into some kind of permanent socket to keep it steady. 9. If you build a power line into the cable you can add lights along the cable to keep airplanes from hitting it. You can put solar panels on your counterweight and asteroid to generate the electricity for the lights. 10. Build rails onto the cable for elevators to run up and down on. The main cable would be huge so you could probably fit a whole series of rails on it. If you electrify the rail the elevators could run off the power from the rails just like the subway does.

I don't know maybe I need to learn to play more but how hard should it be on the easyest mode ???? OK heres what happens... I start to play and expand as fast as I can, and sometimes cheat with the map editor to have more settlers and stuff like that. And all of a sudden I find out the AI is already with tanks and machin guns and choppers and what not while I'm still riding horses and elefants. There has been times when I'm ahead on tech but suddenly an AI declares war on me and gues what ?... My land floods with horse catapults and musketmans and on top of that I start to watch how my tanks and choppers get beat by a horse man or a longbow man. I mean how mutch sence does it make a man with a bow beating a chopper or even a TANK ! And yes I profoundly hate AI making more than 1 unit at a time .. Thats just unfair. And yes I totaly agree with the AI not knowing where every unit building is at all times.. I mean where is the realism in that. I have been a fan of RTS my whole life and that issue has always been troubling me. Example. I make a "mine" out of my defences but really away from the AI base.. And gues what .. 5 sec after its built theres an AI army destroying it... GG ... One last thing off topic where on earth are my favorite RTS going ?? .. Make more farming and mining passive RTS just like anno, stronghold, cesar, zeus, knights and merchants ! I realy hope I see more games like those.. I personally leave it on as much as possible. Apart from downloading and using it for distributed computing (Folding@Home), turning your comp off and on constantly damages all the chips. Much like roads, they expand when hot and contract when they cool down. As a result, over time this cycle can cause them to crack, just like the cracks you see on the road in places with extreme tempratures. This one is debatable but I have heard that your hard drives also last longer if you leave them on constantly. As drives around me have died after just a few years, mine has stayed alive for 5 years, even while constantly on (higher working hours). If you can afford the bill, turn off your monitor and leave the comp on.

FASM is incredibly easy. I am learning the winapi in c / assembly (despite my damn java instructor) and may I say I love VC++ for C but FASM just blows everything else out of the water. Even NASM. For Window$ people (guilty hehe), its got FASMW and provides a super easy way of linking/compiling in a simple set of pressing CTRL+f9 and f9. How can you beat that?? The includes are super easy. Even if you're too stupid to configure or have difficulties all you need to put at the top of your soucre (for winapi, I already said I'm biased alright?) is this: include '(insert directory of FASM here)includewin32ax.Inc'For me this was as simple as:Include 'c:FASMincludewin32ax.Inc'And it gets even easier if you can configure a simple fasmw.Ini file to point to the directory. Not to mention, if you navigate the fasmincludeexamples, there is awesome support and demonstrations on how to get started.
