Reservation Rewards ScamReservation Rewards - A Scam!Like the rest of you, I got that nasty little $12 a month charge on my credit card from Reservation Rewards. I apparantly signed up for this when I ordered a shipment of Cigars from Thompson Cigars. I remember that Thompson's had called me to give me a free gift. They called me on my cell phone, and I stupidly took the call while I was driving. Anyway, Thompson's asked me what free gift I wanted, I chose a free Humidor and they. Said I'd get a $10 gift too. Apparantly I put in my e-mail address twice and that locked me in. I called them to cancel my membership - I told them that I didn't know how I signed up for it or even what reservation rewards is. They did happily refund all of my money. I will say since Thompson's Cigar Company was behind this too, they have lost a customer and will be getting an earful from me when their call center opens up. -reply by Cigar Guy

memorizing the tableMemorise Large NumbersThe table's not that large, co the easiest way to memorize it is simply to practice with numbers at hand (phone, credit card, etc.). That said, you can find other ways. The curl at the top of the number 1 almost looks like half the letter T. Number 2 tipped onto it's side looks kind of like and, 3 on it's side looks like M. 4 is four (emphasize the are). 5 as L is out of left field so just memorize it. 6 looks a lot like G as in George. 7 as K is left field again so just memorize it. Same with 8. 9 is like a backwards P. 0 is zero. I'm sure others have devices for the 5, 7 and 8 that I've missed, just just practice and play a bit and you won't need them. USE this tool. The more you do so, the sooner you will 'own' it! There are some great books out on this too, new and old. I so very much wish I had been appraised of this as a child, when memorization was the order of the day at school. Therefore, I've created separate favicons for Firefox. It's actually been launched last week. I've created six animated favicons (different favicons for different tabs/ares), integrated with my (own) personal brand strategy. That implies that my face is shown, including attributes. On opening a page (or bookmarks) they are standing still, actually 80% of the time. Unlocking new modes and characters encouraged playing through more than once.Other games worth a mention:- Silent Hunter III + IV: annoying as hell sometimes but also very addictive- GTR 2: Awesome graphics and realism. This is a true simulation.- GT Legends: While similar to GTR series it has the more interesting cars- Knights of the Old Republic: Awesome RPG/3D-Shooter. Nothing special, but you just can't stop playing it.- Far Cry (series): Beautiful landscape and free roaming (more or less) though the outdoor levels- Also liked AvP, Doom 3 and Halflife 1&2- Age of Empires: A decent game, but everything was so lovingly detailed and had a lot of historic references- Warcraft (series): WC3 being the best. 4 races and compelling campaign- Command & Conquer (series): You gotta love the video sequences, especially with real actors. Plus each of them was a very action packed RTS. Some were especially good, like C&C 3, Generals and Red Alert 1&2, but all were above average.- The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind: You could go anywhere you wanted and had so many options and places to explore, it almost felt real. Also the system to gain skills/levels was unique.- Final Fantasy (series): Unfortunately I only played a few.- Star Trek Legacy: Horrible game actually, but a must for fans. The starships are awesomely detailed and are ranging from the first warp capable ship until Enterprise-E. And it IS fun to play, once you get used to the gameplay. I called them a couple of weeks ago and they quoted me 27.99 for the first 6 months and then 52.99 for the remainder of my contract, which was for two years. I agreed on these terms, so I scheduled the installation. This morning, which is two days after the install, I decided to check out their website and look at my account information. They already have my 1st bill listed and the charges are more than what was quoted. I called their middle eastern customer support and they offered to take 10.00 more off of my bill for the second six months, which brings the monthly bill closer to what I was quoted. But they wouldnt do anything for the second year, which means my monthy charge will be about 25.00 more per month than I was quoted.Also, when the installer was here, he couldnt get it working on one of my TV's. He told me the TV is too old. It worked just fine with comcast. So yesterday, I had to go out and buy a new TV. I wanted to upgrade to an HD anyway, so I wasnt real upset over that.Dish charges 10.00 per month for the remainder of the contract to cancel. My intent at this time is to keep it for one year, while the price is fairly decent and then cancel after the first year and just pay them the 120.00.My advice to anyone that is thinking about getting Dish. Get all quotes in writing up front. Also, the installer will ask you to sign the contract before he begins the install. If I knew that my TV wouldnt work after installing the equipment, I wouldnt of signed the contract, but since I already did, there was nothing I could do. So I wouldnt sign anything until the work is done and everything is working.He also placed wall jacks in open areas of the wall, rather than hidden behind the TV. The installer did a rush job and when it came time to show me how to use the remote, he ran through it real quick, as if he had someplace else he had to be.By the way, directtv is worse, so I wouldnt go with them either. If you call directtv, they will extend you contract if you make any changes to your service, or even if your box goes bad and it has to be replaced. As bad as Dish Network is, DirectTV is 10 times worse.My local cable provider, which is Comcast, has raised their prices like crazy. Those are my only options, so maybe I'll just buy a roof antenna!

Halo doesn't make you a true gamer. I think nobody is a true gamer if they don't have a variety of games. That's just full of arrogance. Halo is nothing more than a popularity contest. It does have a very weak plot, I mean, an alien invasion? Hasn't that plot been beaten to death millions of times? I mean in comparison with Doom, atleast that game had an interesting plot to it. You're fighting demons and are actually in Hell and having to fight your way out and on top of it prevent Hell from taking over everything. FPS games these days have little to no plot to them anymore, it's all about multiplayer. If they need a plot, they'll slap down a generic plot to it and call it a day. -reply by ToastyKeywords:
