same problemProblem With Time/date On My ComputerI too have the same problem with my computer. I just got all the parts for my computer from China recently and then I assembled it by my own. Now my problem is that when ever I shutdown and restart my pc, I always need to set the date and time. The system of my MB always goes back to the factory setting by default, and I even tried changing the battery of my MB but it doesn't help too. Can any one suggest me for any opinions??? My pc's spec. Are: MB: Asus P5QL PRO, CPU: INTEL CORE 2 QUAD 2.33GHZ, HDD: SEAGATE 500GB, RAM: DDR2 KINGSTON 2GB X 2. Any help according to my problem will be highly apprecitated. It depends on the use case. For desktop use, linux is better (heck, for desktop use, linux is better than windows even) For server use, FreeBSD by a long-shot. Better performance is one factor, another is jail system call, which linux lacks. (linux does provide a wide array of virtualized machines, which makes it good for running windows or completely different kernels though) The BSD jail functionality provides a light-weight compartment allowing you to partition a freebsd box into several freebsd boxes, for organizational purposes, security, different configurations, etc.. For learning, linux is good, tends to be a bit easier to use. For fun, freebsd - it captures some of the original unix "flavor" that I miss. For commercial software, linux (though, you /can/ run linux software on freebsd if you want to, heck, using a jail, you can more or less install a linux distro on freebsd) For security, probably openbsd (or dragonflybsd) because these are less common (and openbsd has specialized in security) linux uses the /proc filesystem, which isn't as secure. For disk intensive applications (databases) freebsd. For exotic hardware, linux. Neither one is "better" they're all unix-ish and it's good to have a variety, I feel it is unfortunate that linux seems to be stealing the spotlight these days. Its different from Dating Sims?Many people (particularily women) have assumed that the goal of the game is to experience dating or something like it,The goal of the game is to build relationships with characters over a long story designed to make you feel attatched to said characters, people who say that 'you cant feel for a false character' havent thought that live action films characters and animated films characters fall under the category of 'false' characters, and most if not all people would have felt for many characters in films and television, that's what drama is all about, and its all about how 'real' it seems,the assumption that the girls in these dating sims are 'easy' is false, in one play through or several play throughs of the scenario you are likely to not get any action at all without previous experience and maybe someone guiding your hand a little.and about the reference to the Shin Megami Tensei: Persona anthology, it has been described as an RPG melded with a Dating sim, infact there are few other ways to describe it, -reply by Samuel

There are just way too many variables that get in the way, such as technology, religious beliefs, society, and so on. War has been, and will always be hell, for all involved. To compare a Samurai to a Trojan is simply ridiculous, as the times, and technology were different. That would be like pitting a the Roman Legion against one Abrams tank! You just can't do it! @Ron the virus that your avas detected was part of the virus' root.. usually, virus' extention was *.Exe so, maybe you can search the source of the virus' file and process. Kill the process and delete that file.. after that, you just clean the virus' root file.. maybe you can use unlocker or procexp to help you... -reply by Juneidy Wibowo

Kind of an old thread, but I'll reply anyway. One such converter is the XCM "mega cool" vga box. Dumb name I know, but it works like magic. It takes component input and converts to vga, along with scaling and deinterlacing if required. I use it for my ps2 and have used it for a wii, and it looks great.

My parents are NUTSS! No, I will not be buying Windows 7. Ubuntu 9.04 is working very well. I do tech with MAC, Windows and Ubuntu. It is always a relief to work with Ubuntu. One aspect is that if things really go down the tubes, I can do a clean install without worrying about the money. Windows 7 may have some bugs when they do the release and I would wait until they have those fixed. It may be in the form of sp1. I don't want to use Windows. It is harder to deal with than Ubuntu. -reply by Maude

CommentKeeping Faith In Times Of Trouble?I have been blessed by God with a dream job for the past 10 months. Last week I was informed that our company was out of money and I was let go. I thanked God everyday for what I had, while I had it. Now comes a true test of my spirit. I would be lying if I did not say I was apprehensive and shaky about what lies ahead, but this bump in the road has driven me deeper into the bible and caused me to cling even close to Jesus- two things that are GOOD. Like one of the previous posters said, I also do not have any real close friends to hold me up, but I do have Jesus. I do not know what tomorrow will bring (and yes, my wife and I still worry- which scripture says in Luke NOT to do), but I am trying to focus on one day at a time. We are in a bad financial situation now, and the job market is tough, but my hope is in our God that SPECIALIZES in the impossible.
