    is my battery working????Laptop Battery OutI am using HP Pavilion from the past one year. The problem now is my battery doesnt get charged. The problem is when I remove the power cable the laptop immediately shuts down. Even if I have the power connnection for hours, its the same. Is there any trouble shooting method to check whether the problem is with my charger or the connection itself. -question by venkat

    Homosexuality, Bisexuality (etc...) and Heterosexuality are all matters that concern the person who is born that way and choose the accept their orientation. For those who say its wrong because we cannot reproduce- many people fall in love and choose to not have children-so obviously having relations of the physical, emotional, and spiritual kind with someone does not concern the whole baby making thing in every situation. For the religious debate, do your research into the book you hold in your hands. It was written before sleeping with your sister, your cousin, your aunt (or vice versa)- was wrong. Did you know the Bible says its a sin to eat shellfish? Do you eat crab? Oyster? Lobster? Then you've sinned. The Bible is an ancient text, whether or not it is holy scripture or a chronicle of stories is your opinion, but if its text is your moral law- read the thing before you dictate what is right and wrong. And if you eat shellfish and are still religiously against homosexual love, than you my friend, are a sinner in your own eyes. The Bible does not contain a list of sins to pick and choose from, either abide by your own morals and arguments or that of the ENTIRETY of the Bible.To me, the argument against homosexuality is weak and biased by those who are not secure in themselves- those who thrive on conflict and who have nothing better to do than to try to ruin perfectly normal peoples lives. Its ridiculous that the topic of homosexuality is controversial. "A person is a person no matter how small"- Horton Hears a Who 'Dr Seuss'. We are all sentient intelligent beings and should stop wasting our time, our resources, our power as a community voice on such insignificant things. The GLBT community doesn't want to take over your homes and force you all to 'gay-marry' why would they want that? They want the chance to love whomever they fall in love with and have the same rights as EVERY OTHER PERSON no matter how they live, or where they live. They want equality, not special rights. We do not live in feudal times anymore children, grow up and let people live their lives they want to live. Fair enough, if you are still homophobic thats something that you believe- but don't force your beliefs on other people, sending them to get 'fixed' at de-gaying camps or limiting their rights as humans. Keep your opinions to yourself and just stay away from them if you don't agree with who they are. I mean, really- whats the harm in love and rainbows?Me? I just want to be able to tell my significant other that I love them and not have to worry about being singled out for loving someone who has the same physical parts as I do. I want to legally be partnered to that person, I want to stop having to hide the parts of me that make me who I am. I want to be able to hold their hand without the jeers and people turning their nose at me. Its like high school all over again with the poplar kids and their cliches, singling out people for trying to be who they want to be. I thought people would have gained respect for life and freedom by now- obviously they are no different than they were in Grade 8 -I hope you consider these words before completely shutting off acceptance. I mean really, you never know if your child is gay and ends up completely unhappy for the rest of their life- if they even pass through puberty- by then they may have already taken their own life. Think before acting. And if you have nothing nice or meaningful to say, don't say it.Thank you2H1HP.S - Homosexuality against nature is a myth.     I was considered by most people to be a strikingly beautiful baby, child and teenager. Many strangers would come up to me and my parents in public places and say what a gorgeous , beautiful baby and child. I never had big lips, I had /have normal size lips and a pretty delicate shaped mouth, and even as a baby and child I had high cheek bones, a small pretty shaped nose, an oval shaped face, very big dark brown beautiful deepset doe eyes , (and many people thought they looked black because of the contrast of my light red hair and skin) light skin, strawberries and cream complexion, no freckles and red blonde hair that was much redder than strawberry blonde. My mother was an artist and she went to art school and she even sold some of her sculptures in a few local galleries. She drew me in pastels when I was 5, she sculpted my face when I was 7 and she drew me in charcoal pencil which I sat for when I was 18. She never drew or sculpted my sister who is 4 years older though and was only considered very cute and average pretty and who looks nothing like me. My sister had and has medium brown hair,average color comlpexion and pretty big green eyes, though not as big as mine especially when I was a baby and child, my eyes looked even more big and beautiful. My mother saw people feature by feature as an artist and I once asked her if she thought a soap actress was pretty and she said, no she has an ugly nose, and she did, her nose was kind of flat and kind of spread out shaped.

    Gamblers AnonymousMovie IdeasThree foreigners from different ends of the world decide to travel the America for their own personal reasons. (These three characters do not know each other). They end up in South side Chicago renting an apt. Together...After they're run in with Pimp Hopin Moe at the roach motel they were dropped off after their arrival. They realize all the obstacles and that it's not so easy fitting into this country they dreamed about in their homeland. Note: I don't want to give out to much but the countries they are from are perfect in terms of their accents with one another and their upbringing that collide with each other as they try to figure out a way to make money...Mobsters are involved, prostitutes, pimp who's a tough midget...It is a black comedy as I get further into it. It's funny because my family on my mother's side has blue eyes as the dominate color, whereas my father's side has dark brown eyes as the dominate. We don't know why how I managed to get Amber eyes. However depending on the light and what I wear, they can become range from an orangish color to medium brown. My biggest problem is finding a hair color to go with my eyes and slightly tanned skin. For make-up I wear bright greens, blues, and gold to bring out my eyes. I also curl my eyelashes (and use black mascara) and wear black eyeliner. I haven't tried the opposite color thing, though I plan to now. I've learned with my eyecolor to not limit myself to drab colors. Sure a plum and dark blue will look nice with my eye color, but when I want to have guys eyes on me, I wear brighter shades (Especially one's that have a glittery undertone/base). -reply by Brey

    I recently upgraded my internet service provider from Quest to Comcast. I have had a wireless router (not protected by WEP or anything) hooked up for years (even with Quest as my provider). When transitioned to Comcast, the guy helped me set up my wireless and it worked fine. Recently family came to visit, and someone that was visiting me tried to connect to my wireless internet and it would not let them connect. I came to realize that my personal laptop was the only computer that could to the wireless internet. It would be nice to allow other computers connect to the wireless. I would appreciate any knowledge on how to fix this problem. Thanks, Chris

    Dubious Products and Its AdvertisingNo Approved Therapeutic Claims Lately there have been products which claim to aid vital organs from harm caused by lifestyles that are characterized by excessive indulgence in eating, bohemian living and other unsafe and immoderate diversions.The frequency of the advertisements by which these products are aired are just a little less intense than those applied in detergents and shampoos. With this kind of incessant repetitions I would presume that the claimed and speculated medicinal efficacy of these products have been drummed in effectively in the audiences? minds. They are now happy in the belief that they can indulge just a bit more on things that are high cholesterol, carcinogen suspect, high sodium, and the overly sweet. Worst, they may even think that these products would be sufficient to substitute for the physician prescribed expensive maintenance medicines.Note that at the end of these advertisements a phrase is flashed in a split second saying ?No approved therapeutic claims?. (Recently one these products even had the temerity to render the caution unintelligible by putting the audio at fast speed) Does it mean that whatever is claimed or what has been the intrnded perception of the advertisement does not pass the scrutiny of the vettors and is meant to be a caveat to the market?I do not understand why there is a need for such a caveat. Shouldn't they have disallowed the marketing of the product outright?Shouldn?t the Food and Drug Administration and/or the Ad Board (self regulatory body of the ad industry screening advertisements prior to airing) have disallowed the airing of advertisements of products with unsubstantiated claims in an area that is potentially harmful to people?It seems that one marketer tested the waters and not getting rebuffed by the authorized screeners became emboldened to launch a media intensive campaign. So many products of the same ilk and bearing the same caution followed soon after. We now have what I would call snake oil cure alls for ailments of the liver, the heart, the kidney and other common ailments. Our poor consumers are prone to these panaceas because of the prohibitive cost of conventional medicines these days. Banning these type of products would have a big economic impact on the wellness (pharmaceutical?) industry, the advertising industry and the commercial media houses. They are the beneficiaries of the existence of these products. As always, the Filipino consumer's interests take a backseat. -reply by ed roa

    The Next World Super Power?The Next World Super Power?China and India will rival each other in terms of economy and military capability to some extent but neither have capacity to afford "American lifestyle" for her billion plus population stuck up in less area and with less resource. Don't forget North America is geographically safe place with ample human and natural resources (oild, water, uranium, etc. ) that can afford isolation. EU and India are multicultural experiments that will make and break up periodically. America's 30 million population is economically rich enough to compete with 2 billion "third world" humans. Americans have created a competitive society out of superior genetic pool from across the world and having "50 yrs ahead" technologies in her kitty. Right now America is under transformation only to befool the world after 50 yrs by emerging stronger than rest of the world.

    The bastardisation of the English language didn't begin with text messaging but rather with the branching off from correctness taken by what is known in the U.S. As "American English" and in the rest of the English-speaking world as an ignorant and habitually misspelled bastardisation of an otherwise perfectly fine language. Here's a clue Americans: There IS NO such thing as American English. You didn't invent the language; the English did. Therefore, if there is a difference between an English spelling of something and an "American English" spelling of something, guess which one is correct and which is incorrect? That's right, the ones who invented the language get to determine which is which. And they pretty consistently agree that words like "armor" and "color" and "honor" and "favorite" are actually spelled "armour", "colour", "honour" and "favourite". A five year old writing his Rs backwards isn't inventing a new way of writing, he's simply incorrect. Get over yourselves.

    McAfeeNOD32 vs. Kaspersky: Which Is Better?I get the enterprise edition of mcafee from the school real cheap. I also find that comparing the regular consumer edition does not compare with the enterprise editions. My mcafee 8.7i prevents access to all system files from all websites. A bit annoying for sites that require cookies but I am happy. I will admit that at one point before the school license that I got a trojan that norton, abg, and trend micro wouldn't pick up. And Kaspersky found it and got rid of it.
