Chris, You need to look in the router's instruction manual for the default IP address: for Linksys, it is 192.168.1.1. Once you have that, type in the IP address into your Internet search bar and this should bring up the router setup login screen. Enter the user name/password the tech setup for you, or try to find the default user/pass for your router on google (if the tech didn't set up a user/pass). Make sure you are hardwired into your router with an Ethernet cable during this process. For obvious reasons, (hackers) most routers will not let you change the settings using wireless. The tech must have entered your MA address as the only device allowed on the network. You need to find this section in the setup and change it to allow all devices on the network. I have HP using windows vista and recently just started getting start-up error message in a blue screen: STOP 0X00000024 (0X001904AB, 0X83BD8538, 0X83BD8234, 0X8F4C2162). I'm not very technical and as I started reading some of the posted solutions in forums. I came across with the one listed below, which I'm assuming is related to the error I'm getting. Little did the thief know that when a work unit is done, the computer connects to the BOINC server to report results and get a new work unit. The server records both the MAC number (unique to this computer) and IP number (uniquely leased by an ISProvider). The ISP can be made, by law enforcement, to present the IP lease records to see who had a IP number lease. Trust me, there is nothing urgent those beeps are really telling you that wouldn't pop up as a window notification alongside the beep. I have a USB-sata thingy (em-1015) and this seems to be the first thing that does NOT work well under Win7. The thing is I have a popcorn hour A-110 and this uses the linux format, the 1.5TB drive is dying on me (2nd one in 7months) so I wish to retrieve all the data thats on it. Win7+ext2 or 3 don't work as well as with the winXP did. The newly formated 1,5T under winXP did need this answer to get seen by win7 I tried this answer with aid of my USB thingy but that makes my Win7 crash, it sees the usb em1015 and even the drive thats connected to that but when I try to activate it... It crashes. When the drive is directly on sata is does work. had to open the defective drive with a bootCD of Kubunto to access the data and copy it to the new drive... Then placed it back in winXP and it worked fine... Then back to Win7 and it was gone again. This answer here solved it again. (big sigh) -reply by Arnold

I just bought a new generation 5 ipod and had the same problem...Here is what fixed it for me in no time. Uninstall the following in the order shown. Must be done exactly...I Tunes, Quick Time, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, Apple Application Support...Reboot the computer...Then go to the Apple Website and download the latest version of ITunes.Start Itunes.Plug in the new Ipod and bingo it worked...This is what fixed the problem for me...Can't guarantee it for others but it may be worth a try. I used to use ESET, until I met a member of my cousins friends who works for microsoft. He said he recommends kaspersky as I told him I had a trojan because ESET detected the trojan, but did nothing about it. I uninstalled ESET, and installed kaspersky. Hey presto! kaspersky deleted the trojan-downloader and my pc is really fast. I also use malwarebytes anti-malware and kapersky.
