  1. Indeed it is very interesting , i hope that will work , thank you for all, i 'm going to try your suggestion and i will shown my siteweb when it finish , thinks !!!!!
  2. I live in UK and I was also shocked by the terrorist attacks in London. But i agree that anyone could have said it was Al-Queda even if it wasn't. I just hope they do catch those responsible, and my thoughts are with the victims/ families of victims. I seriously hope that was a one off thing though
  3. The reason why it doesn't log you in, is because you haven't selected the checkbox "Remember my details." on the gmail.com site.
  4. I couldn't honestly begin to explain how I came upon this name in particular. Usually my name for anything has to do with Dracula--not the mythical vampyric characte, the ruler--but, for some reason, I've become accustomed to using AroundtheBlock whenever, and if, I happen to sign up for forums of any sort. The just, really, is that I was walking to a friend house and when I walked "around the block," I was just like, "Hey, that sounds pretty cool," and therefore it was put to use.
  5. The only problem I have with my drive sometimes is that sometimes it can't read after burning. AFter I burn, and put in a cd/dvd, it doesn't read it, just says it's a blank disc when it's not. Even though I restarted it, it still says that. It just randomly comes back or something. I wonder if there's a reason to this?
  6. I can see Windows releasing a new one soon. With all these new computers, it's right that there is a suitable operating system for these years. I just hope they don't add too much new things because it tends to be too high ended for others. Just one stronger than the latest and that's good enough.
  7. To be honest guys, I wouldn't choose PHP because it's easy to learn.I am sure everyone here is capable of learning about it, what I am sensing though, is no one would be bothered about it unless they can pick it up easily (the lazy method). If you were serious about using PHP, you wouldn't learn it because it's easy, but you'd learn it because you know it's capable of doing what you want it to do. If you don't know what it's capable of doing, then you haven't taken the time to read up on it (researching).Things about PHP:I believe it's easy, but I can not speak for anyone else because I am a quick learner and pick up on a lot of things easily. You don't need to know another programming language (it helps) but the key thing is, your determination. If you're not easily bored, and find interest in even the simpliest things then you're bound to be a great PHP developer, if you do bore easily, then obviously you want to skip the learning process and just dive straight into PHP, fair enough, you can still learn this way too, but it's not the effective way.PHP is a powerful language capable of things I haven't even thought of testing it with, but when I do, I'll make PHP do it one way or another. Check out PEAR at pear.php.net for more great extensions/additions for PHP.You may find the documentation a bit hard to understand, so the best thing is, whatever you're reading on, test it out, see what it does, try to understand it, I would be lying if I said there's no harm in trying but if it's file I/O related, you should know the risks, so don't ever test it with production material, keep it seperated and never test it with files you actually want.I have not read any books on PHP, but I'm interested enough to actually buy PHP books just as references and to pick up new things I may not have thought about, it's just not simply possible to know everything you can do with a language (I do try though).Everything I've learnt about PHP would have been self-taught, reading the documentation, reading tutorials and references, rewriting CGI/PERL scripts to PHP and setting goals of what to achieve, mostly my goals were ideas taken from other sites (or even just improving the site) and seeing whether I could replicate the same thing their site did, and on the odd occassion I would come up with wacky ideas that seemed impossible, but never the less put me into researching heavily into PHP.I believe there's no limits to PHP, the limits is your own ability.Cheers,MC
  8. PHP start tag = <?php PHP end tag = ?> PHP short start tag = <? PHP short echo tag = <?= There's no <?phpecho or ?phpecho> You must have white space between <?php e.g. <?php echo 'some text'; ?> Examples: <?php echo 'this is simple php'; ?> <? echo 'this may or may not work, dependant if short_tags = on in php.ini'; ?> <?= 'relies on short_tags being on'; ?> To be more cross supported, use full tags compared to short tags, in fact, don't ever use short tags. I've cleaned up your code, fixed a few noticable problems, so hopefully this is a starting point for you to write better well-formed web pages, and better PHP programming guides, just look at the difference of your above code to my below code. <?php$menu_php = 'menu.php';if(file_exists($menu_php)) $menu = file($menu_php);else $menu = 'Error: menu does not exist';$blog_php = 'blog.php';if(file_exists($blog_php)) $blog = file($blog_php);else $blog = 'Error: blog does not exist';echo <<<END<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ https://d xmlns="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ https://4; xml:lang="en"><head> <title>FEAR AND LOATHING | did I say that out loud? can they hear me?</title> <link media="screen" href="index.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /></head><body style="background-color: #C7B299; margin: 0px;" onload="window.defaultStatus='FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS';"> <div align="center"> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="border: 0pt;"> <tr> <td> <img src="new.jpg" style="border: 0pt;" alt="new" /> </td> </tr> </table> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="529" style="border: 0pt;"> <tr> <td width="150" style="background-color: #C69C6D;"> $menu </td> <td width="371" style="background-color: #C69C6D; border: 0pt;"> $blog </td> </tr> </table> </div></body></html>END;?> Cheers, MC
  9. Wow, someone actually hates Hotbot as much as I do, maybe more! I don't think YAhoo is all that bad. It was one of my first ones that I used when I first went on the internet. Yahoo also has some good stuff on their site too. I got some articles from the news section that helped me out with my school work. Yeah it doesn't have to do with search engine much, but it did have some good news on the site so that's close enough.
  10. Well, you can always turn it on when you go do things like watch tv or something. I always put my full system scan around 5 am in the morning, about 2 hours ahead of when I wake up. Once I wake up, I'll see that its finished. You're not always on the computer, so you can always use that time wisely. Or save electricity if you want haha
  11. I've used Hotmail ever since I turned 13 about 5 years ago. I haven't stopped using it yet. I also don't care about space, since 250 MB is more than enough for all my email that come to me. I think MSN is the same as Hotmail, but it's odd how they are put. Yahoo isn't that bad though, just I'm a Hotmailer

  13. I am also a fan in playing the sims. I started playing the Sims since late 2001s and also thought of buying the sims 2 this year. I also went to the internet to look for some extra custom built house and custom made items. There were a lot of disgusting the sims item i found on the internet for download. But i saw a very good thing... I went to look in the internet for a house and saw a glass house. it was beautiful. Everything in the house was made of glass, including the fridge, stove, television, radio, sofa and even the bed, toilet bowl, shower and stuffs. You may want to look for "the glass house" in google or yahoo. Thank You for listening to what i have to say...

  15. I use a variety of players, can't say which one is better though. I like to use PowerDVD for my dvds of course. For avi and all those sorts, I like windows media player 10, it's pretty nice for me. Then I have BS player, it's like my other one I rarely use, but like it though. Then I have VLC player, for when I like to configure things around.
  16. More details on your operating system would help and location of where the installation was made. There is no order for packages, XAMPP should install it in the correct order. XAMPP is a pretty straightforward installation, you can only access PHP files served from a web browser accessing a web server since it relies on the PHP interpreter to interpret your page. The most common way would be LOCALHOST/ to test if the server is actually running and displaying the XAMPP configuration page. You would need to store your PHP files inside the directory it creates for storing your web pages, www or public_html or something like this, I haven't used XAMPP in a while so I can't think of where you are meant to have your files. Once you've discovered the location, to access the pages you would do LOCALHOST/your_php_page.php You may also need to check your XAMPP control panel to make sure all the required services you need are actually running. Cheers, MC
  17. Well, that's true but other search engines are always trying to develope better ways too. It's just that google does a better job at it than most others. There are many others, the advance ones, that people like, but google is the simpliest and easiest to use, making it the b.

  21. hi casanova , here is 4Images (Fantastico): ImageMagick path error Symptom: When configuring 4Images after installing via Fantastico, the following error is generated after the path to ImageMagick is set and the auto-thumbnailer selected: ImageMagick error. Wrong path or ImageMagick not installed. Check module settings. Resolution: 1. Ensure that the path is correct. For this script, the convert program must be specified. Typically, either of the two options below will work: /usr/local/bin/convert /use/bin/convert 2. If the path is set correctly, but the error persists, edit the image_utils.php file in the /includes directory under the installation of 4Images (you may need to download this file from your space). Open the file in any text error and move to line 39, or search for the following lines: Code: if (!@is_executable($convert_options['convert_path'])) {$convert_options['convert_error'] = "".$lang['im_error']."\n".$lang['check_module_settings'];}break;Insert comment tags around the if statement. The completed edit should look like this: Code: /* if (!@is_executable($convert_options['convert_path'])) {$convert_options['convert_error'] = "".$lang['im_error']."\n".$lang['check_module_settings'];}*/ break; Save the file, and reupload it to the /includes directory. Return to the administrative settings panel in 4Images, recheck the path to ImageMagick, and resave the settings. If the errors persist, please contact the support team at the helpdesk.
  22. ..if what you say is true, then I must thrown my Ipod in the trash :Pit very expensive ,especially in morocco it will be between 500$ and 1000$, this things of technology it arrives here 6 month or 9 month after released in USA , i think my cellphone & my iPod it work well !
  23. Is anyone actually going to attempt this or does it sound impossible? As a said, a setup program is just a program with set routines of extracting files to the choosen location, writing to your registry and that's it, there's nothing special about it, you could do it by hand if you understood the extraction process. However since you've already got it in extracted, the only thing needed to be done is grab the correct registry entries, grab the program files folder for PS7 copy it over to the other computer, update the registry and you're set. PS7 on Linux This guide above will show you how to do it, Linux did not need to register any special dlls, so I see no reason why windows would have to either, as long as it fills it's dependancy needs then it should be fine to do this way. However there is a difference between Win9x/ME and Win2k/XP, if you're trying to interchange, then you should do it at your own risk. Be sure to backup your registry before attempting to do anything like this and remember what steps you did in case you need to revert back. Cheers, MC
  24. Yeah it is amazing. Part 1 was like a prelude or intro in my opinion, but part 2 was like the beginning meat of the series. It was pretty cool, and I'm happy it did better than Tomb Raider. Also, I heard they are making TWO NEW Resident Evil Movies. The location of them both are like Austria and Japan or something. I don't remember, but it was most likely not a rumor of those two locations.I'm also interested in Doom. Even though the Rock is in there, I'm sure it can't be that bad. As long as they don't pull any 'try to be funny but it's just the not the right time if you'd notice' stunts. They did that in those Jason and Freddy movies that came out, it was terrible because they tried to be funny. This is an action movie, this should stay action, and suspense, keep the funny business to a minimum unless it's the right time. Don't try to pull a joke like, "He must be dead since he's outside the spaceship, and can't breath. "Are you sure? Why don't you go out there and check." Jason X did something like that, not funny at all and just bad timing since it removed the suspense.
  25. hi Trojan , I have the solution ,the Symantec Norton PartitionMagic lets you easily organize your hard drive by creating, resizing, copying, and merging disk partitions. Separate your operating system, applications, documents, music, photos, games, and backup files to reduce the risk of data loss if your system crashes. You can use Norton PartitionMagic to run multiple operating systems safely. you can download here a demo
