"When a coin in the coffer rings a soul from purgatory springs". I agree about the evils that come from organized religion, but also see the good in it. Morality, and good values can be extracted from any of the religious text. What turns organized religion is fanatics. Religious texts should be never interperated literally, and fanatics operate on the set in stone principal. Therefore they do all kinds of crazy **** in order not to contradict the texts; God is infallible. Sometimes they use the texts in order to have an excuse for their crazy foushizmo. In short organized religion isn't bad, its just the douche bags that use it as an excuse to do bad. Rot.... G.W Bush.

Amd is the bees knees. It is however amazing how the market share is split considering Intel normaly looses the processor of the year award.... more expensive and not as powerful, it must be the blue man group.

PC Needs Medical Attention My computer is dying? Hardware probs?
iGuest replied to cyborgxxi's topic in Hardware Workshop
I would just reformat partition and start of fresh in your case. Install latest drivers, and update bios, and chipset. Reinstall games and if the problem still exists you narrow it to hardware.... then it is knowledge base time on your manufacturers web sites. -
Darwin awards are indeed pathetic... along with sites which show gruesome pictures entitled mans face vs bike. What kind of sick freak thinks that is actually funny. They are peoples children, um people. Very disrespectful and in bad taste. I am not an ornery do gooder, I am a sick dark humor freak myself.... however the line is very clear on this one. I don't understand the audience of this one.... it must be the American Idol crowd.

Anyone know where I can find good custom photoshop filters and plugins for free? Where do people exchange filters and plugins? ...and also anyone know how to change perspective based on graident mapping?

I agree and disagree. It seems like a mismash of priority, but we spend money on things that are far less constructive. Like worlds biggest things.... I have seen the veiny 100ft sausages in Alberta.... they cost over 150grand. Space is our future if we survive that long. Our resourses are about to be come visibly finite to the masses, with the coming of the oil shortage. In order to survive as a race we must continue to explore and consume... we love consuming so much that we give nothing to those whom really need it. Greed.

I Have A Question About Defragging My HDD
iGuest replied to LikMeBalleFM's topic in Hardware Workshop
Norton System works has a great defrag utility. It is probably about 4 times as fast as the windows default... It may fix you problem. However it is a very minor problem and nothing I would worry about. -
I learned logic and pascal in high school, and thats the extent of it. I am looking forward to learning PHP and mysql... can anyone point me in the general direction of the best tutorials available for a newb such as myself? If so I would really appreciate it.

If you really want to pimp out your Myspace page then you can join a group where people are experts in this type of department. Groups like myspace coder or html masters will be happy to assist you here. Or you can just go here at https://myspace.com/browser. That should tell you everything you need to know.

I have a friend that works at Universal and he was telling me about a new Marilyn monroe documentary called "Marilyn's Man." It's suppose to come out sometime this month on both DVD and in theaters. I read some about it on the website (http://www.marilynsman.com/valhalla.html) and it seems really interesting, her story before she was famous, told by her first husband. I'm really curious to see what other people think, so if you know anything about it, let me know.

Hi ya.. I believe you have a good dev team, here are a few of my thoughts. I only actually have one conserning the layout. It is just too cluttered. A webpage shouldn't be about jamming as much information as possible on a single page. Keep the mainpage simple and attractive ( what do you believe to be unique, or special about your hosting). Shiney and audio is nice, but what about the majority of users who are still on dial-up. I would show some examples of sites created on your hosting.... and the colours are too nutral... i agree with the other users who mentoned this..... later on.

Debian Linux is the most hack-proof computer in existence. Most businesses use it as a web host for their company website. And abhiram, Houdini didn't buy a computer for $10. Houdini bought the drive, since his old one was acting off. But I concur, you certainly got the deal. Good job; more power to you! *Salutes*

Games That Have Bad Endings.... how i hate them..
iGuest replied to Padsgoo's topic in Computer Gaming
It's not called "a bad ending," it's referred to as a "crappy endboss." In my opinion, Kingdom Hearts has the worst ending since I can't even reach it. Sephiroth, the Kingdom Hearts endboss, is a real pain because it's downright impossible to beat it without game cheats.Kingdom Hearts is a great game, by the way. I'd recommend it even though Sephiroth will own you. -
That's really cool, Houdini. It probably had nothing to do with luck; most likely you bought a computer part. It really isn't that hard to assemble a computer together so instead of shelling out the cash for a pre-assembled one, I like to buy the parts and connect the pieces. Saves a lot of money too.

If you don't have any artistic skills and want to make a nice looking background, just go steal a nice looking picture from Google's Image Search and use Grunge Brushes on it to make it look like dried up crap. Honestly, it works because those who never heard of this brush will think you are really talented.About renders, you can find almost any picture in Google's Image Search. Just highlight around the picture, copy and paste it onto your background, move it to your desired location and voila! Another piece of crap for the world to see.

To be honest, I sometimes believe in the supernatural. Its kinda odd to think our planet is the only one in the entire galaxy, universe, whatever, to have living beings. Probably far off somewhere is an actual planet with beings that can do phenomenon things, or maybe they aren't living at all, but just a bunch of brainless zombies from outer space readying to invade earth one day? Who knows...Anyways, Area 51 must know something, and the only way we'll find out is if we start a riot and hold arms and rush in >_< Haha, no just kidding. One day the truth will be revealed !!

In stead of me trying to explain it, you should go to overclockers.com as it is best if you see the pictures they provide in their tutorials.Underneath the warranty sticker on the top of the CPU you'll find the area you want to draw with a pencil.Whenever you remove a heat sink/fan off your CPU it's best to remove the old thermal pad and replace it with thermal paste, never resit the CPU back on without replacing it, else you run even greater risks of having the CPU burn.If your computer doesn't start up, don't panic, it's quite possibly motherboard related protection, in which case if you reset the speed back to normal, the CPU may still be able to run. Just some words of advice when I started out overclocking.Cheers,MC

No, don't do what Reaver suggested! Honestly, most free forums are useless and unreliable. (I apologize, Reaver, but I've learned from experience.) However, if you're a cheap bass-terd, and you just want a community, no matter how bad and unreliable it is, the best would be http://www.zifboards.com/ Honestly, InvisionBoard is really, really exceptional and of high quality. It's just that it's extremely expensive and I don't think you'll enjoy it in the long run. Although I think you will enjoy phpBB. The world largest forum in the world: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/ uses phpBB and I guess it shows how hack-proof it is. But anyway, good luck with your forum endeavors and I hope my help is, well... helpful to you. Did I forget to mention: https://www.socialstrata.com/?nc=1

But hey, if you need anything, give me a PM and I'll be more than happy to help you. Any member's a friend to me. Don't forget this important rule though, make your post MUCH longer than this. I'm sure the Staff will forgive you since it's your first. And hey, thanks for selling your soul to us, I mean, er, joining.

Astahost's New Look... The forums new look...
iGuest replied to Tobias's topic in Websites and Web Designing
The whole thing is now whored into becoming something that looks like crap, in my opinion. I mean the whole entire layout now looks EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. It really does. Seriously, if you're shelling out the cash for bandwidth in exchange for members, you have to look like a professional, don't you? And I liked the idea of the small text. I really did. Sure, normal people can't read it, but it makes people post longer forms of text for the admins to judge of exceptable quality, doesn't it? And the new toolbar is blurry as heck and looks like a crappy shrine dedicated to whoring your website.Honestly, you need the old professional layout to look like you mean business. And by business, I mean a community, not some phony ezboard! -
I agree that they shouldn't try to ban the ESRB. But the reason they try to is because they don't agree with some of the ratings. I mean, sure some ratings are unjust but you'll find more of those in movies; why don't you ban that. Of course it would be too hard, yes, so they target the easiest thing, gaming. It would be of more help if they just kill off movies instead. Better yet, why don't they just shut the truck up because they aren't helping ANYONE. "OMFG, please don't hate me, I'm only trying to help." Well then go freaking kill yourself!

Need Help Creating Intro A Nice Intro for Website
iGuest replied to iGuest's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Basically, most intros are flash files which can be made with Macromedia Flash. However, if I were you, I wouldn't bother making an intro. There isn't anything special about it in my opinion. To keep your visitors updated, I'd suggest adding a blog to the main page of your site. That way, members have something to come back for. Most amateur sites have blogs, that's what makes them stand out from the rest.I don't suggest updates; no one cares whats going on. Seriously. -
