  1. I agree that programs are better to use. More reliable and things of that sort. However, if you do want to use the net, I have a site that I've known of for a while that I used to use to get music for my website. I'm not all that sure of it is still running, seeing as how I haven't been using music on my site for quite a while now. The site was pretty reliable and had a lot of artists. Espew worked well for me when I needed it, hope it does well for you. Good luck, Tobias
  2. That's pretty neat. It does slow things down, but I prefer them to be smoother as opposed to quick and jerky. I too use a scroll wheel which makes things jerk. Thanks for the tip.
  3. I'm not exactly sure where I stand on this issue. In one hand, you've got technology that could cure sickness. Maybe even terminal illnesses like cancer. If that happens, people would live a longer and healthier life. It could benefit people greatly. On the other hand, you've got the ability to clone a full human being. This is the part that I would have an issue with. I think everyone on this earth is unique and it should remain that way. I don't think that there should be a clone of anyone, even if the child or person is killed at a young age and the parents want their child back. I'm not sure entirely how possible that would be, but from a movie I saw a while back (which I can't remember the name of), the parent's child is killed and they have him cloned. However, the doctor uses the parent's request to make an experiment of his own and the child that he clones has memories from who he used to be before he died and becomes dangerous. I'm not sure that's exactly how the movie went since I haven't seen it in such a long time, but the point I'm getting at is that I think children should remain unique, and if a child is cloned, what happens if something goes wrong?I think the breakthrough in science and medicine can bring great things, I hope it all goes well without much controversy over it.
  4. It's a cool forum and all, but I have never heard of "World of Warcraft," so I don't think I'll be joining. But what I did see that could use some improvement are your topic descriptions. Some of them are kind of lengthy. Other than that, cool forum.
  5. It looks good, but I don't think you need all that free space on the left. Like soleimanian said, try to brighten it up so it's more attractive and easier on the eyes. Make the text contrast more with the background so that it's easier to read. Other than that, well done.
  6. I'm going to have to agree with you now Chiiyo. When I made this thread, the skin was all the things I said it was in my post, now it just looks amazing. The colors look really nice, draws my eye. It looks futuristic.Nice job Xisto team!
  7. I much prefer they look they've gone with at this time. The look they used last night, like I've already said had some problems to me. The colors still work well together, and the scroll and load time have been fixed. I wasn't knocking Xisto for their work, I was just simply voicing my opinion before.
  8. Oh wow, I didn't even notice the shoutbox. It does look like something is wrong with the coding for the border. Hopefully that and the load and scroll time are fixed...
  9. What does everyone think of the new Xisto forum look? I personally think it has more negatives that it does positives. The new look is good, the organization of subforums is good, the scrolling time is bad, I think the order that the forum topics is bad also, and I think the placement of your current amount of hosting credits is bad. Positive: I do like the new look of the forum, it's got a crisp feeling to it; not mostly grays like the previous look. I like the way the colors compliment eachother. Positive: The organization and navigation of the subforums is much better than the previous forum. Since you're able to see the subforums from the main page of the forum it results in less clicking and quicker navigation, but like the loading time of the forum is slower. Negative: Like I said before, I don't like the new scrolling time of the forum or the time it takes to load. They're both slower than the previous forum. Now when I scroll down/up, it seems like the page lags behind the scroll bar and it blurs and things of that sort. Negative: I think the order of the forum topics isn't as good as the last forum. Introductions and Welcomes is toward the bottom of the forum, why would it not be at the top? If I was new here, I would expect the Introductions to be at the top so that it's quicker for a new member to introduce themselves. Negative: The placement of your current amount of hosting credits is bad. I liked how the last forum had them at the top of the page so that as soon as you got on, you saw how many you had or how many you needed to unsuspend your account. Now that they're at the bottom, you have to take time to scroll to the bottom of the page to look for them. I think overall Xisto's previous forum was better than this one. While the new color scheme is good, that's about the only new thing I'm seeing that is a positive for the new forum. Oh yeah, I wasn't able to locate the Arcade button... did they remove that? I hope not, I had fun playing the forum games.
  10. I didn't notice this earlier, but in reply to what ChronicLoser said: I agree that too many kids nowadays spend too much time playing video games, but there are plenty of kids that I know of that own an XBOX and a PlayStation 2 that run track with me, play soccer with me, and wrestle with me. Not everyone who owns a video game console is lazy and sits around and plays games all day. I do agree that too many people do it, but that's because they were never taught good health habits; or maybe they just never showed an interest in running/playing a sport. I would also have to agree that the shoes are a good thing for our society, but most people (like me) aren't able to afford them. Not knocking the company for the price of the shoes, I'm just saying that the shoes are very expensive for a 15 year old like me.
  11. Ummm... I've been to lots of game sites, but the problem is remembering them... I know Miniclip has a lot of good games... Newgrounds has some awesome games, but some things on that site are not for children under 18, Addicting Games has some pretty awesome games and addicting games, and of course the infamous Yahoo! has good games, but if you're looking for fun games and maybe a little recognition, try Xisto's arcade. Happy gaming!
  12. I'm going to have to go with iTunes even though I run Windows XP.I say iTunes, because it's very easy to organize your music once you've put it on to your computer. Maybe I prefer iTunes, because I have an iPod, but it's so simple to update your ipod using it. If you prefer (like me), you can go into options and set it to update your iPod automatically. Which means, all I have to do is plug my iPod into my computer and it will update it without me clicking a single thing. So, I guess I'm saying that I haven't had much experience with Winamp, but I have tried Windows Media Player (since I have Windows XP), but I find it much more convenient for me to use iTunes. I think with all of the people getting iPods now, iTunes will become extremely popular, even for Windows users.
  13. There are plenty of places on the net to get FREE premade templates. For one, I know Zymic offers some nice templates for free. There are plenty others, just search google for templates, and you're off. I would suggest you try to learn HTML, or anything else incorporated in your template so you can truly know how it works and you would be able to do so much more with your site. Also, when you're able to make a nice site on your own, I would do so. Who wants a template from a site that anyone on the internet could have? Anyways, good luck.
  14. Wow, I hadn't heard about that. It would be amazing if they were able to find Atlantis. There would be so many unanswered questions... answered! It would be like finding an extinct animal alive. I hope they do find something, that's really interesting.
  15. They sound awesome. I would like to have one myself, but like ElFoReal said, I'm also not going to be able to afford one any time soon. Maybe when the price comes down a little. But anyways, they do sound amazing.
