  1. That is a template for DataLife Engine, but the original version is in Russian - I don't think, it's going to be much of a help to you. Anyway - http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  2. Oh, btw, find a club that needs a sponsor, or an existing club - students like sponsoring teachers.
  3. Oh, I don't need the e-mail, all I need is the PM script, we have separate e-mail groups worked out anyway:) And now I feel stupid. Aparantely, the sec. code never even existed on the template (why do I remember it there?) That's the original code of the PM page: <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c1.jpg" width=24></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg2.jpg" height="21"> </TD> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c2.jpg" width=24></TD> <TR> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg1.jpg"><IMA height="24" width="24" src="images/o.jpg"><BR></TD> <TD vAlign=top align=left width="100%" background="{THEME}/images/bg07.jpg"> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD vAlign=top width="84%" height="19" class=title1>Personal Messages</TD> <TD width="16%"><div align="right"></div></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> <DIV class=text1> <div align="center"><strong><br> [inbox]Inbox[/inbox] || [outbox]Outbox[/outbox] || [new_pm]Compose new[/new_pm]</strong></div> </DIV> </TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg3.jpg"><IMA height="24" width="24" src="images/o.jpg"><BR></TD> <TR> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c4.jpg" width=24></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg4.jpg"> </TD> <TD><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c3.jpg" width=24></TD> </TR></TBODY></TABLE>[pmlist] <br><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c1.jpg" width=24></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg2.jpg" height="21"> </TD> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c2.jpg" width=24></TD> <TR> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg1.jpg"><IMA height="24" width="24" src="images/o.jpg"><BR></TD> <TD vAlign=top align=left width="100%" background="{THEME}/images/bg07.jpg"> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD vAlign=top width="84%" height="19" class=title1>PM list</TD> <TD width="16%"><div align="right"></div></TD> </TR> </TBODY> </TABLE> <DIV class=text1> <div align="left">{pmlist}</div> </DIV></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg3.jpg"><IMA height="24" width="24" src="images/o.jpg"><BR></TD> <TR> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c4.jpg" width=24></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg4.jpg"> </TD> <TD><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c3.jpg" width=24></TD> </TR> </TBODY></TABLE>[/pmlist] [newpm] <br><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c1.jpg" width=24></TD> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg2.jpg" height="21"> </TD> <TD height="21"><IMG height=21 src="{THEME}/images/c2.jpg" width=24></TD> <TR> <TD background="{THEME}/images/cbg1.jpg"><IMA height="24" width="24" src="images/o.jpg"><BR></TD> <TD vAlign=top align=left width="100%" background="{THEME}/images/bg07.jpg"> <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0> <TBODY> <TR> <TD vAlign=top width="84%" height="19" class=title1>Compose new message</TD> <TD width="16%"><div align="right"></div></TD> </TR> </TBODY> </TABLE> <DIV class=text1><div align="center"><table width="100%" class="slink"> <tr> <td colspan="2"> <table width="100%" class="slink"> <tr align="left" valign="middle"> <td width="60" height="25">Recipient:</td> <td height="25"><input type="text" name="name2" style="width:140px;   4. I am developing a website for a student organization. Since the beginning everything was going allright, but now I encountered some problems. The website must have PM system, or feedback (I started with a template), but on the template it had the mandatory security code, which i deleted to make life easier. So, now, when I try to use PM, I get the error screen:- The security code is incorrect- Not all the fields are filled.Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this, or is someone willing to share his/her PM script with me? This is absolutely urgent, we need the website running by Monday the 17th.P. S. Sorry, moderators, I tried to post twice in the Internet forum, but it wouldn't let me, though, I am a level 1 member already.
  5. Hi, guys. I have a problem. I was constructing a webpage that absolutely needs a working feedback/PM system (preferably with the ability to send the same PM to multiple people in the same time). Everything was going allright, but then I decided to delete the mandatory security code from PM field - just to make life simpler for the site users. In that case when I try to send a PM it shows an error: - not all fields are filled in - security code is wrong What can you advice me to change to make it work? (This is urgent, I really need the website totally operating by Monday) or Does anyone have a working script of PM/Feedback system that they are willing to share with me? Thanks a lot. P. S. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  6. I love dogs a lot, but because of family issues we have cats for 8 years already.
  7. That totally depends on a person's viewpoint. To me a girls' body is not my first goal when I meet her. I have a friend - not a girlfriend, just a friend. She is clearly not the sexiest person in school, just when I'm around her - I feel that I have wings growing on my back. Every day I spend about 10 minutes after school with her, while she is waiting for her bus. I know that I should be probably using the time to go home, do homework not to be late for work... But I spend the time with her, because when I am around her - I know, that nothing else could be more amusing than her. When she does not answer her phone, or something else - I can't fing a place for myself, I go all nervous and think, how much I really love her. Now, that's what hppens, when I think emotionally. When I think rationally - tehere's nothing really that attracting in her. So - follow your heart.
  8. For a million? Probably, not. 10000000 - yes. In the end, I am getting rid of something I can clearly live without, but I won't have to work a single day in my life. Hey, guys, does anyone know somebody who wants to pay 10 millions for my finger?))jk, of course... People do crazy things for money. Pretty much I'd do anything for it too, as long as it'd not have a major consequence on my health/lethal result. It's only a question of the amount:)
  9. OMG. Forget wormholes, we are not in a fiction movie. I am a strong supporter of the M(embrane) theory, which states, that we live in the 11th dimention of the other multiuniverse, that is filled with ones like us. 11th dimention is 1*10^-23 of a meter long, just so you know. The theory initially evolved from the string theory by adding 1 dimention to the 10dimentional system, and thus eliminating 5 different string theories. Pretty much what happens is that al around us there are membranes that float in a sea of other membranes, and when they hit each other - a new univers is created, and the energy from the collision goes to starting the Big Bang to open the singularity. Universe can be made in a lab, but it will evolve in totally different space, not taking up our.
  10. haha. lol. I never heard of that one before. Thanks to Google, I'm "flying" to school and back for the tenth time already:))Are there any more easterns like that in latest popular software?)
  11. Not really. For me a perfect date is not going anywhere specifically - maybe stopping or a snack in a cafe, and then wandering around the market streets for several hours. In the cinema she/he will pay 0 attention to you (assuming that it's a good film), or hate you afterwards, if it was bad in his/her mind, and it was your idea to see it. Restaurants are too expensive and usually noisy. I prefer more privacy than a huge dining room with waiters asking you how are you doing every 2 minutes, seriously thinking that you are fond of nodding your head infinite amount of times per evening. P. S. I might just be bious, because I wark in a restaurant myself:P
  12. I use IE .0, though, I hate it, as it tends to restart when dealing with "heavy" flash files
  13. Good job:) You just received a bunch of credits by copying half of other people's thouthts. I hope, you at least realize that you could say all of that in less than 10 lines of forum text.On subj. I don't believe ina ny of that. All those stories are just coincideces followed by human fear adding details that were never there. P. S. Answering your unspoken question - yes, I am an atheist.
  14. Lol. That's amazing. I'd have nevr thought of such "protection". I run Vista, according to him it should work. BTW does he mean the password on the computer itself, or only certain users?
  15. Oh, that's a coincidence. We just had a discussion in my ENglish 4 class as to what an ideal classroom should be. I assume, you are familiar with the banking method and liberation method? If not - here's a brief summary: Banking method (approach). Assumptions: Teachers know everything. Students know nothing. Students' minds are just "dumpsters" in which a teacher must dump information for 43 minutes (or what have you). What happens: Teacher lectures for the whole period, students take notes, and that's it. Liberation. Assumptions: Both teachers and students are equally teaching and learning in the same time. That means that if a student proposes a point during a discussion that you did not think of - accept it and continue the discussion, you might learn a lot of new stuff. Also that will make the teacher-student relationship stronger and less "scary", as most freshmen tend to view it. What happens: Small lecture (10-11 minutes), if someone needs to - he/she may take notes, but it's not mandatory. The rest of the class lead a productive discussion, there will indeed be a lot of people going off topic, do not use putdowns even in that case. If you see that a discussion is "flowing" in another direction - the best thing to improve it is to listen to it and try to link back to the original question by asking some other questions, or commenting. If you can't do that quickly enough - POLITELY ask to come back to the topic, don't be rude, if you don't want the students to hate you from the first day. IMHO the best class is the second method, where a teacher is not really playing a role of the teacher, but as a guide with a light pointing at the exit of the dark cave of blindness and laziness (Example from "The Republic" by Plato) As far as homework comes. I had 2 completely opposite teachers: D. W. For AP Physics II C and M. R. for AP Statistics. The first one assigned tons of homework once a week (usually after test, and it was due on the date of the next test), it was about 30-50 problems, which is okay if you pace yourself, but most High School people are not doing that and thus they'll have to do all that pile of homework on the last day/in school, or fail a class. What feelings other than hatred could that promote, even though it's totally the student's fault. In the second case we got like 6-8 problems each day. It might sound worse, but, trust me, it's easier! (even though you will have to do more problems than in the 1st method). Next. Group activity. Students LOVE doing activities in small groups (2-5). If it's a group of two - let the students select their partners themselves. If more - choose randomly. Like my chem teacher, who drew lines and shapes on the sitting chart to make groups. Last. Tests. Please, do not make tests worth as much as 90% of the grade, which some teachers tend to do. Make it around 60-70. Don't give major tests too often - once, or twice per 9 weeks would be fine with quizes every 2 weeks. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE POP QUIZES. I really hate those. Although I am always prepared for any class, but when something unexpected like that happens I get really nervous and sometimes screw up my resposes. Don't make tests excessively hard, or easy, stay somewhere in the medium. If it's an AP prep class - make tests like the actual APs. Also - make it possile to make up tests, if a studet scored really low. Some teachers tend to drop your lowest test grade to help your grade in the end, which is a nice thing if you're on the borderline. Best wishes in school:-)
  16. Oh, absolutely. I never said, that you have to fake yourself, which would be, in a way, lying to her, I meant - when two people meet and one is too active relative to the other - she'd feel as if he's pushing her toward a brick wall of shyness behind her, while she cannot escape. Two "even" people can never make a good couple, but when you meet a person that you want to have a relationship with - the first things that you have to show are that you are more, or less, interested in the same things she is - I'm sure that you don't have one to one taste on movies, or books, or anything else, but DO NOT LIE to her. Just talk about the ones you think she'd also enjoy, leaving the others behind. The other thing is to show her that you do value her and her opinion - don't always be the person leading the discussion, ask questions that she'll have to make longer responses for, thus she'll feel more comfortable being around you without the chains of shyness holding her back as much as they did when she speaks to someone else.
  17. That's true. I have a 250 Gb hard drive, but it almost "emptied" in a week, or so, although I had used only about 17-180 of it. I think it's because Vista is going nutts on security and creates tons of unnecessary (usually) backup files, that take up a lot of space. I'm not sure as to where to disable it.
  18. Indeed. I got the flyer, etc. some time in 1st week of August, but my schedule on Aug. 31st. NOte, that school actually starts on the 30's. Well.... that's half the trouble. I had 2 gym classes, no maths, no sciences, and no english classes! All the three that I need to graduate. Also they gave me 2 electives which I ALREADY TOOK in 9th grade. Then, 2 days ago, my schedule got switched around again - i got drom pd. 3 english with an awesome teacher to a really boring one in pd. 2, which is like 2 weeks behind what we were doing in pd. 3. When I asked, why on earth would they ever do that - the answer was - to balance classes - pd. 3 had 22 people, and 2 - 12. Well... I am sorry, but why do school officials have to lie to us? Today I asked the teachers: 3rd period now has 15, nad 2nd - 20 people. I asked to transfer me and my friend (same trouble) back - they said that it's too late to change schedules. I said: "What do you mean - too late? You just switched me out of my English 2 hrs ago!" She just asked me to leave. What sense does that make?!
  19. No. Right the opposite - renting is more expensive, thus, it makes no sense to overpay for something that doesn't even belong to you.
  20. You see... for some reason I think that I'll be right to infer that your parents are not teenagers that don't know how to ask a girl out:)
  21. Thanks to you and to all who wrote in this thread. We had a practice today, and during the last period I drank .25 L. bottle of water slowly as you advised, and then again the same amount after warmup. It changed everytning tremendously! I did not feel thirsty a single time during the game. Although, I got tired more than usual (muscle pain), and I kinda felt "heavier" when running. Are these two connected? btw, we won:) P. S. I never dring soda in any way ever:)
  22. Oh, well, when it comes to opening files on computer other than mine - I'm totally fine with that. Why do you mention password-free accounts? What's wrong with password protection? The bad stuff about illegal software is that you can actually get caught:) I prefer cracked one, or licensed with license key from the web (which is risky also, by the way.)
  23. Exactly. I go to school because I know that I'll see a lot of people I enjoy being around with in school. The other motivation are all the clubs/sports that I participate in. Grades kinda come last, but still I try keeping them on an B+ average, when weighted my GPA is still above A in that case because of huge amount of AP classes I'm taking.
  24. When we were getting ours - it was a perfect time - the price for rent went up, but the amount of money you need to pay for mortgage did not yet. Thus We pay about 700/month for it, though, we could rent the same size house for 1200. P. S. This is rare.
