Hit a high profile site, like asta but aim for bigger aswell, I currently use 400MB to bots a month, second big user being Google. All I do is link to my forums from here and from simplemachines in my profile, you dont need to publicise the link but forums will get traffic to you faster than any other method you can use.

Give Firefox a try........Also maybe have a clean up of your hosts file, maybe a problem there.

Admin -> Current Theme Settings -> hide post group titles for grouped membersuntick that and it should work fine.

Goto permissions in your admin panel, check in the boxes for the shoutbox, all permissions are controlled in the SMF area.

Does it work with Half Life 2? It didnt say yes or no.

I have a wap site, not hard, just some wml, very simple to learn a bit like RSS. SMF the forum software supports Wap modes, Wap1, Wap2 and a third PDA type. Very nice. Imagine posting on a message board while on the phone.....Also I wasnt impressed by 3G, I expected it to be better.

Not at all, the switch for me was a five minute process, if you know HTML then you know XHTML perfectly, you just need to code in a slightly difefrent way, all the tags are the same but some small additions and subractions from HTML. Its a very easy and more logical way to code.

Why not just upload it to your space or use a file dump service and link from your site. Although remember if its copywright its a big no-no for giving out the link

yeah there is, its to do with constricting it to one directory and blahdy blah, a lot of work anyway.

You'll love it, also dont forget the first time you see it, the admin panel is organised, thats why it looks simple and not very powerful but dig a little and youll see the true power.

Nah a lot different, the problem with the google thing was that google.com was parked to that account, wouldnt go anywhere, wouldnt spread, just a piece of nonsence, the hosts file then picked up the wrong IP, it sounds like its the same thing, it probably could be but it wouldnt go further than that sites viewers.

My FTP speed is normal again, just upload compressed archives and uncompress using filemanager, its a lot faster.

lol and domains are supposed to be short things, people pay to shorted a URL or to not have to input an IP and yet these, mad, utterly mad some people

Theres a new mod, Banner Mod V4 and it has support for google ads, just give it some account details and it will cycle your ads for you, no need for manual code editing anymore, also soldat you are wrong, SMF has a VERY advanced but simple theme engine, go have a look and SMF is stable and handles loads a lot better.
