  1. To be honest with you, I dont see how some people can;t reach the required credits in a month. I have been very intrigued by some of the topics and it allows me to talk alot. I am not even trying to, but I come up with opions/thoughts/ideas and express them. I already love the forum and I joined in roughly 20 hours ago. I have over 30 credits and I am still going to be active in the forums whether I get the application approved or not. I like the topics and ideas that people post, and I have been on many forums and these have good opinions and debates. It actually makes for some good conversations. Not only that, I have been able to share some of my knowledge with other users, and since I've been on these forums I've learned a bit about publishing ads, and about overclocking video cards. Lol. A good forum and if your only in it for the hosting, then your going to lose in the end.
  2. Drinking with your friends is definately a fun activity. Im only 17 (18 this year). Ironically about a month ago I got a drinking ticket camping with some friends. Usually the police will tell you they don;t wanna see it, or worst they will take it. I have been drinking since 14-15 too. Now I drink with family aswell. I am responsible about it, but I do like to party aswell. I don't see anything wrong with it - with a 90 average in grade 12 - my grades havent dropped. I do it on weekends, whenever in the summer. Most I've drank...two week binge drinking (not to heavy) last summer. Couple buddies used to chill, relax. Listen to music and barbeque after we were all done work. Nothing wrong with that (maybe the two weeks was a bit much). I have tons of stories about some crazy drinking, but usually we just chill and have fun. I am going to tell you to be safe and relax. Try not to do anything stupid ?Alcohol may be man's worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy.? - Frank Sinatra? It is well to remember that there are five reasons for drinking: the arrival of a friend, one's present or future thirst, the excellence of the wine, or any other reason.? - Latin Proverb?Responsible Drinking? Now that's an Oxymoron.? - Aaron Howard?Alcohol is the cause and the solution to many of life's problems.? - Dan Castellaneta
  3. wait... you took your (firsT) date to a fastfood joint on the first date at 10am in the morning... wow sounds like reason enough to slap you :PRule #1 - Night time...Rule #2 - No Micky D's (makes for a good first date story to tell the kids tho)Rule #3 - Grammar "stood up and slap on my face" - lol :DJust kidding on that last one.
  4. perhaps the advance of medicine has/will cause more problems in the long run. With no medicine, the population would be balanced... For example; racoons don;t use medicine. If they are sick, they either die or survive (Survival of the fittest). This controls the racoon population. However with medicine, we are playing with the natural course that is supposed to occur. We are stopping natural deaths from occurring. Is this have any better morals then cloning? Either way, we are affecting the natural course that is supposed to take place.
  5. I bought a 250gig SATA (Serial Ata) thinking I was getting an IDE. It was an error on my part, and I can't return i because I bought it on sale. Stupid me. I was thinking of buying a SATA -> IDE converter, runs $35-$50 canadian. But I was also thinking, perhaps someone would like to trade for a IDE drive if they have a SATA. IF anyone has an IDE harddrive 180GB +... I would love to trade. If we can make it possible. Hitachi 250GB Serial ATA HD 7200/8MB/S-ATA-II-300 In package (no cables), however I opened the package. It has been sitting in my drawer for roughly 8 months now and I haven't bothered to get the convertor. If I cant trade it, I'll probably just go and get the converter when I have an extra $50. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Topic title modified. Xisto is not responsible for sales terms or conditions.
  6. Wow... i had about 400-500 unqiues a day with 2-4k page impressions and I was making between $0.5-2 a day. But I had horrible ad placement... (leader board on side, 468x60 underneath banner). On my new design I am hoping to incorporate ads in the content. I have researched it and I'll get back to you. But $10 a day on 200-300 is amazing. And as for PlugComputers... about 5 clicks for 400-500... (with my exerience) which is 1 per 100. But I'm sure you could get that number higher.
  7. yea the 3px border wasnt too attractive. This is actually a very useful tut i never kne.w i have always wondered how to make a nice grundge background. thanks alot and ignore those "pros" - dont know why their even looking at tutorials
  8. It hurts when you talk trash about someone, or someone who's annoying you and they kill you or kill you everytime. I hate those disrespectful players who are annoying and "noob" but then they surprise you and murder you. Only thing embarassing is when you constantly get shown up but someone you don't like :PWhat also sucks is when you don't play a long time, and you come back and you suck. Even though you would normally do better, you get frusterated at the game. I unno
  9. I think the first copy works good. I like how it stand's out, and you don't need to blend it in... looks great.
  10. Now I hope this doesn't sound offensive, but if your into web design and what not (I'm assuming here, seeing as your hosted), perhaps http://www.good-tutorials.com/ ould help you out. When I started into PS I used to go there and learn. I still am new to PS, I don;t have much skills and when I need some inspiration, I go over there. It's definately one of the best websites I know of.
  11. I believe GR has a very good point. You may not be satisfied with google if you are a smaller website because you can not "cheat" them like you can do to other PPC's and the $100 payout can be hard to reach for some. However, if you read up nd research on PPC you will learn many things... I'll give you some simple tips everyone should already know... Straight from Googles help... Your going to want to place ads IN your content, not around. It is easier to simple put a banner at the top or side, but to place a square box of advertisements in your content will produce better results. Also, you are going to want to keep the color scheme the same.. if your content is black with a white background, have ads with white background, no borders, and black text. Google is there to help you... feel free to email them. They want you to succeed, without your sucess, they have none. There's just a few simple tips you should know. Hope this helps.
  12. Is that site on a CMS? Kind of looks similar to a Joomla or Xoops setup?Anyway, I think the site is great. I have wanted to do an idea like that for sometime, and I think I am going to incorporate a similar idea as a module in my new project. Definately a nice site to add to your portfolio. As for the design, I love the top/bottom banners, with a center console running down the middle. Definately a common feature you see in designs now-a-day and you pull it off fairly well. The gradient colors work very well.Negativities? Something doesn't seem right. I think its hows the middle section is deisngs... Latest Rants / 2 Articles / Popular...... perhaps you could run latest articles on the right... and keep your articles to be the first thing you see.
  13. wow.. saint micheal, if its any redemption.. i think both of yours are incredibly execellent and I wish I had you to do one for me. As for yours shom... I won't be hard on you even though I felt you under judged saint... but your animated one looks like noobish. I'd give it a 2/10 for effort. And the newest is more my style. If I could give you anytips.. the dull/faded look I would rather see more vibrant, but either way I'll give it a 7.5/10 Would like to see some more (non animated) sigs. And for whoever rates myne, I made it in 5 minutes when i signed up for the website. Sorry to dissapoint you. But you can rate the girl
  14. I'm definately a baseball fan. I pitch for a small house league with about 10 teams at the midget level. Baseball, however isnt as serious up here (ontario, canada) as it is down in the states. It's more relaxed, and calmer. Anyway I didn't watch it, but hopefully I'll be in myne again this year
  15. thatsactually an interesting thought. I going to look into this more... (googles the subject) Here is a link, with some comments and an active google map... http://www.satellite-sightseer.com/id/1007/Rachel/Area_51 it sures area 51 and has some other lank amrks to check. whats even more interesting... i googled "Google Earth Area 51" and the image results all had pictures of area 51. Even some chinese sites. now to be honest, its nothin to worry bout... consdiering how many countries have satelites orbitting earth, I'm sure they have every bit of this earth mapped and no one can stop it.
  16. Googles maps/earth is awesome... My house is blocked by clouds... the only clouds around the whole town . Whats more interesting is the new 3d camera view they have in certain cities. You can actually zoom in and see people on the street and what not. I forget what its called but you can check it out at maps.google.com.And that moon.google.com thing... its funny when you zoom in all the way, but im not sure what thats suppost to be.
  17. Well, we are slowly progressing to reduce emissions... and therefore pollution may be a problem in the past in the future. Hopefully. As for our food and natural resources, we will continue to plunder. However, there are solutions and efforts being made.As for suggestions to help...Restrictions on land would help develoing. Governments setting aside areas for agriculture and areas for wild - and insuring they stay that way will help out. This will force developers to build in concentrated areas. (I realize some government's are doing this... an area near my cottage has put a ban on land, not allowing any more cottages to be built on the area)As for housing types... obviously condos and apartments are the way to go... but who wants to raise a family in an apartment. No many people.. this is why housing costs in major cities is very high. There are too many topics that intertwine with this subject, its hard to get down. I'm pretty sure with a little bit of research you could easily write pages and pages on this topic.
  18. I didnt see an introduction thread... so I thought I would drop in and let some of you know I plan to be here for a little while. Here's my story...I am working on a new website, Black Label. It originally started off as 9Block, a site that was never finished.... (http://9block.789mb.com/rg-erdr.php?_rpo=t) but I have changed direction. While I will have alot of the same content, I have decided to use a CMS for the development instead of coding a basic CSS page (like 9block) and implementing php scripts which can be a pain in the ***... bum. Anyway, I decided to rename it aswell, considering I am starting from scratch... Black Label. Don't ask me why or how. So I started looking for a free host, something a little more professional then the one I was currently at. Seeing as I've gone through 100 in the past few months, I knew what to stay away from. Xisto seemed like a nice alternative and here I am.Now dont get me wrong, Im not here to post a bunch of garbage and get enough points to get hosting - I am not actually worried about getting enough points because as you can see from this post - I can talk alot to myself in a notepad. And seeing as though my website will be able flash games, news, blogging, movie reviews, freeware reviews, music reviews, ect. I think these forums are going to help me alot.Anyway I plan to become a member for a long time and not just for the hosting. Back to me... some things about meWhite, 6'4, fresh outta school... into hiphop music, recording & mixing it. Web designing. got a steady girl, and you probably wont understand hlf my slang... ope to meet yas all soon enough.
