Surverys are good but most of the times you don't get any surveys at all. And when you do get it you have to go through some screening and then sometimes you are not eligible. So its really rare to get anything from surveys. And hits4pay: 50 emails to get one dollar? I don't know whether it will be enough to pay for the bandwidth itself to download all the mails. And do they even pay?

google is the best place if you are searching for something. You can search for graphics related stuff on the related websites. There are some sites that give turtorials about graphics and all these sites may have the links to the places with software.

It doesn't matter to me what happens to the whole world as long as I have my PC working fine. I would miss the internet for a while I think but with so many people in the world I think if everyone does a bit for it. We can get it back. In fact in a recent research a lot of people tried to bring the internet down (testing for immunity) the maximum anyone can do is to bring it down for a few hrs or maybe couple of days.

I don't think there is any problem with that. There are many articles which give out information like that: How to search effectively or google tricks and all. If it was not supposed to be done then why would google allow it in the first place.

I don't think you need another forum for seperate games. You could start a topic that wouldn't make a big difference. There are so many games that would make so many forums. I think the no of forums now are enough.

Nice question. But what does hard drive have to do with internet connection? The only link that I can establish is that if you open too many windows then the page file will be used which again will slow down your comp depending on the speed of the hard drive. I couldn't understand anything about the network and speed and all. You will have to explain clearly.

To convert a mov file it is very difficult. I don't know exactly if they have any digital rights stuff and all because as far as I have seen, there are no converters for mov except maybe their own Quicktime maybe. To do things like these is illegal and I think you know where to find it. Since it is illegal to suggest things like these on the forum, I can't help you any further.

Yes. I agree. Kids shouldn't be allowed to play games like these. There are many incidents where kids have killed each other in some form of enactment as in the game. A guy was lured and killed in a park by a kid by beating him to death using a baseball bat. Inspired from Manhunt. It is very bad.

Call of Duty is one ultimate game. The graphics are so real when you are playing with a Radeon you'll feel like you are playing in a movie. Too good. Everyone has to play this game.

I bought my new PC a year and a half ago. There was this guy who wanted the fastest processor at the cheapest price and didn't care much about the motherboard. I told him but he wouldn't listen. My PC was a Athlon 2400+, ASUS Via KT600 chipset. His was Athlon 2600+, ASUS Via KM400 chipset. Both of us had throughbred B cores but his was a 333MHz bus mine was 266MHz bus, Pine GeForce2 MX, 256MB DDR 266MHz. So I underclocked my PC to 1.5 Ghz from the actual clock of 2GHz and his was at 2.0833MHz and guess the results. I get a frame rate of 100 and he just manages 80 in Quake 3 benchmark test. See? Never underestimate the power of the platform of your processor. After all it is the platform.

I used that method to see an eclipse about 7-8 yrs ago. It was shown on TV. So I made a box with a hole and saw the eclipse through the hole.

From the sound of it I am pretty sure that it is a hardware problem. It can be in the bios or it can be the processor. If there is no proper cooling the temperature rises and the PC freezes. Usually happens. Or if it is in the bios maybe a flashing will do. Since the PC is new and the data is packed up there is no need to worry about anything the hardware vendor will and should fix it.

I like yahoo. I usually use it for messenger and yahoo groups. It is very useful. And it is one of my oldest addresses. I'll keep it no matter how many email addresses I have.
