  8. My personal favorite (and the one I use on my laptop and desktop) is Eset NOD32 v2.12.3.NOD32 is known for it's blazingly fast scans and unmatched real-time scanning speed. It has the most advanced heuristics of any anti-virus program out there, so you're better protected against the viruses that haven't been found yet. It also has the highest ranking in Virus Bulletin's listings. On my computer right now (1.25 GB RAM total) it's using 2 processes and a total of 15MB of RAM. It's usually the first thing to show up in my system tray when I startup my comptuer.I have used NIS2003 and 2004, and compared to NOD32, both turn your computer into a snail. With NOD32, you don't have the firewall protection, but I use Sygate Personal Firewall for that.Cheers!
  9. Symantec AV corporate edition. Contrary to what people say about Symantec, it is superb. No resource problems. In any case, what is important to you, protection, or a bit of memory? Though it uses less of your system than some claimed slim AV products.Never caused a single problem in three years of using it.
  10. Yes I?m sure we all relate to the pain of rebuilding your failed c drive .. not fun .. usually takes me about 25 hours or so to load 25 programs and the data again. Please never again; now I have a dual hard drive machine2X 120 gig identical hard drives and ghost 9 to make a mirror ghost. If c: drive fails I want to boot up from the ghosted driveThe ghosting seems to be complete with all the files, but when I make the ghosted drive the boot drive windows xp will not allow me to log in .. just keeps resetting to ask me to log in again and again. Was thinking a xp repair might be in order. I don?t care if I have to re-initialize my Microsoft office software, I just want to make sure this back drive loadsCan anyone help me here!!Thanks alot
  11. Now, first off, I was E-mailed by someone, and sent to this site as some osrt of an invitation I guess, whatever First off I want to say hello, these forums are awsome...-I want to know what and why the best Anti-virus software is. Lately I have been interesting in this. I do not care about $ or price. I simply want to know what the best Anit-virus software is...I am curently using Norton 2004 Professional, and I want to know if there is something better out there. I have been hearing that Kaspersky is one of the best. I used AVG, but I didn't like it too much, because I know there is better. Please give me a good reason why you like whatever product your are using. thanks ps Здесь кто-нибудь разговаривает по русски?
