First it takes more than 24 hours for domain registration-update and DNS update. Also it will take 24 hours for nameserver to update. It's not that you can register in morning and get site up and running in afternoon-evening. It's not 1 minute thing in case of domain and hosting. and as far as replies are concerned from support side, today is saturday in india. Likely to be holiday for 2 days, let's see if there is any support person comes in weekend. And i think there is something wrong with tutorial. If i'm not mistaken if we want to host our site with domain from another registrar we've to add-on domain. Not to park it. I already created thread for this. You can go through that therad, also there is good tutorial on cpanel site for add-on domain. Check that video.

Mycents are not updating. Last 2 days they're not even changed a bit. Post count is there but mycents are not increasing. Any MOD or admins online ? Please notify it to admins.

Rapidshare, mediupload, mediashare have limits. Mediaupload and some similar hosts offer paid to host files feature. You can earn money when people download your stuff. But hardly you can make money from it. 4shared is perfect for needs, it comes with small delay. Atleast delay is not big as rapidshare. Zidou is good as well, but have problem with firefox. ifileit and mihd.net are two good hosts. They offer free hosting as well as unlimited downloads. There is no daily limit on number of downloads. But since last month they started to restrict by making registration and login manadaroty to download files. I can understand due to unlimited download feature bots are being created for this network. so they have restrict.

It is perfectly legal to patch uxtheme.dll. In fact many software companies ask for this. For example, stylexp company, they ask you to download uxtheme patcher if you buy their themes but you didn't purchased their software. This is not illegal. And biggest misconception is it's crack. Yes it is possible. For this you can update nameservers to that of hosting companies address. So that when you type domain in browser and send request. You'll be redirected to the hosting company. uni.cc and co.cc domains don't look professional. Same is with co.nr. There is no point in such domains. Buy your own domain if you want business out of it. Else stick with subdomain. Subdomains are much better than these domains.

Yes. You're right. Teamspark, phpmotion, clip-share, vshare scripts require heavy resource of server. Most of the time dedicated or VPS servers are used for this. But i've seen few hosts offering ffmpeg plans separately than vps/dedicated. So i was expecting reply for admins, if this type of package or custom support for such account exist or can be ordered ?

Cool. Good to hear that OpenID is part of 2.0 release. Can't wait to get my hands on new version. My theme development and MOD development is pending because of this. :/ . CrystalXP ? Why not try program called StylesXP. It allows you change visual styles of windows xp. It is not freeware. Though it is cheap and comes up with many visual styles pre-installed. Also it let's you make toolbar, menu transparent. It also adds more screensavers on system. But again it comes with price. I think it's reasonable but your choice. So you can try alternative as theme patcher. Theme patcher is free of cost. and it patches the uxtheme.dll which is required to change the visual styles. You can try searching for google " UXtheme patcher". Or you can try this link. There are separate theme patchers for SP2,SP1 and SP3. so check which version of windows you're running. and download the respective patcher.

There are mixed reviews for the MSE. Some say it is lightweight and good. Some say it is not good at heuristic mode. Some antivirus companies are bashing against microsoft. i can't get through different opinion. I would like to check it myself. I'll try and install it on windows xp which i installed in vmware. From tech-tree review here i found that it should not be used along with other anti-virus software. You can read more about it here. Other microsoft review sites like winsupersite and lockergnome have more of biased opinion. So i'll not check those reviews as of now. Anyone knows any other good review site where we can know more about features ?

They have internet explorer in it. So hands down. Besides symbian and java enabled phones have better software than windows based phones. No doubt, they want to compete with iphone and other symbian, linux phones. But let's get to basic, microsoft as mobile platform is hands down. Besides, phone tracking service is cheap cause they've their own facilities unlike apple. Microsoft own global data as they are into geoinformatics as well. They have maps and other softwares so it's quite cheap for them to locate phones. Let's see if they manage to attract more customers to their service. I don't think that phone has potential to beat iphone.

Yes, i'm sticking here for domain and hosting. But was curious with their web templates package. So asked if they really give those things or just few lucky one's had those offers. I didn't like that 15$ package of his offering. He asks for 2000points. and people spend more 100$ worth content by posting replies. So this is not fair. Though my interest there is only for those templates. 250 points earning is not so hard. Let's see.

Fantastico was there since 2006 as far i know. But Softaculous was added recently. I think after may 2009. Before that there was no softaculous. Softaculous was added because of regular auto-update feature. Which fantastico lacks. and it's issue of security because of people installing old scripts. So softaculous is on most of the cpanel along with fantastico. There are many clones of fantastico (just like softaculous). 1-click installer which is on dreamhost and awebhosting and many other host, is stripped version of fantastico. Not better than fantastico as it confuses more than fanstastico. I tried 1-click installer on dreamhost, it was confusing for me. I'll stick with fantastico and softaculous.

Yes, shared hosting will not manage to run such huge script. Besides even if it runs on shared hosting. It will cause problems to server and to site as well. Too much traffic and request queries will bring site down. So shared hosting option is not in list.In case of VPS & dedicated server, is it possible ? I mean there should be official support for this. Though as VPS & dedicated server, we can run almost any script that are supported. But still hosting service needs to clear if this is supported or not. So new version of SMF will be released in november ? Great. I was tired of waiting, it more than 2-month or so those floating released are going on. 1.19 and 1.1.10 were pure security releases. Yes, web install feature only installs final releases on server. This is to avoid buggy beta or RC releases. Web install is perfect for those who don't know how to do things. Simply, upload the php file and run the URL. Answer few questions and voila, script will update itself. I was expecting SMF 2.0 final release this October. But there are no signs of it getting released. Any idea when it'll release. Or it'll go in 2010 ?They last released blog update on this in may i think. After that only RC version is updated. I don't know when they'll update themselves.

Check wikipedia for MX records. In your control panel you get one category for mail and domain, this is where you'll find link to edit MX entry for yourself. Chrome is successful to some extent in browser market. People who find opera and firefox as heavy are switching to it. Performance wise chrome is good browser. In many browser tests it performs well. You can say it eats less memory than other browsers. So i'll not call it unsuccessful. Besides chrome is essential component in chrome os. So even if operating system as whole is failed. Chrome will remain in market for quite long time. But after looking at the developer beta screen-shots and after reading reviews. I found this operating system not worth install on my hard disk. Sure, i'll check it on vmware player. But i don't see any reason to install it on hard-disk. I'm not sure if it supports offline usage as of yet. Many reviews talk about it's online functionality than any offline feature. Google gears feature will be part of this os. But how much this feature will help, i can't say anything about that.

Check this screenshot, it almost resembles firebug. If this way more and more add-ons of firefox goes to opera. Then i have no trouble moving to it.
