I listen to lot of trance songs. And there are few trance songs which are sad in my opinion. Sad trance from 90's are much worth listening to. I also listen to some vocal trance on di.fm when it comes to sad mood.

If you want shell access to process images then don't worry about it. You'll be able to get those scripts running with shared hosting as well. But audio and video content should be hosted on vps/dedicated as i said earlier.

I asked this question earlier here few months back. I didn't get any official answer but i found out that shared hosting is not at all suitable for FFMPEG scripts. Your scripts will have trouble with the shared hosting here. Besides that scripts like youtube clone, vimeo clone etc will take more resources which shared servers on xisto here can't allow that and they will either suspend your site or you'll be given option to upgrade to VPS or dedicated server. If you've earned enough mycents from here then i suggest you to take VPS package here. If you can't afford it, then there is no way out this because even if you manage to get scripts running they'll not last long if you get traffic of 50 users daily.

They are working fine for me. I think you have images disabled on firefox or firefox is likely to be corrupt for some sites or domains. Are you using ad-block plus or similar JS disable scripts ? if so,then chances are there that image server or folder is blocked. It is working fine from this side.

Joomla is content management system not shopping cart system. Magneto, osCommerce and Zencart are the shopping cart systems. These three are what i have used for clients. Magneto community edition has nothing worth looking for. osCommerce is much better and in fact if you're in looking for quick fix then it's the one you should use. 3DCart, 1shoppingcart, Ejunkie and payloadz are the one that you should use if you don't wish to host the file and transaction on your server. Which i prefer because i'm using shared hosting using Xisto shared servers. Wordpress + paypal or any above mentioned payment processing solutions will work fine. Joomla is too heavy and complex for me, because i prefer to keep things simple than excessive complexity.

If it's weekday job in company with good brandname then i'll go for it. Sometimes even small scale and startups are not that bad as well. But i prefer not to take risks. So i'll go if there is any 6 month internship or no pay job is there but in such cases i'll not work on saturdays and sundays which many companies in india ask for while working on intern/no-pay job. :|For social service, i dont mind at all. I'll not think second for profit or so from it. Infact i'm doing it for one during weekends. Good thing about non-profit is that you get to know more people and social networking increases.

I learned this from few years of my experience that market and hiring is unstable and is like gamble. Some owners know whom to hire and fire. Besides that when they want to ditch you for any random reasons then they just talk about financial crisis and other things. But they never get to point that why they want to fire you. I mean not everyone is like Mr trumps to tell you truth about your work always. I can understand how it feels to leave job after 40 plus. Glad there is internet and service industry that allows us to work without those companies and salaried jobs. Look around if you can get the job or else just get into freelance with your own skills. Many people here including owner of xisto started as freelance/2-3 employee company during earlier days. So it's not always bad, just keep eye on profitable projects. Odesk has this functionality for most of the projects. So register there and see if you can work with it. Other than odesk, guru and vworkers etc sites are also there for such projects.

If you've bought it then why you're posting it at all. ? Are you going to give away things for which you paid for ? In any case, it is not allowed to do here. That means, warez and illegal file share is not allowed on this site. You can search other forums on google and share it with those who like to do similar stuff.

Lol. When you're done with the project then don't forget to post the code here so that others can learn from you. I mean if you choose to open source your code. Else no worries you can keep it to yourselves. Showing that to others does help atleast to newbies.

If they are watermarked that means they're either for sale or they don't want you to use it. If you want to use exclusively their material then you need to contact them. If you can do without their images then try to find creative commons images for yourself. I suggest contacting copyright holder of that image or site. Using watermarked images is not good impression on your product or site. Also avoid hotlinking to legal images if they don't allow it, because that way your account may get into trouble.

Nice. This look good to me. But can you host your files to anything other than rapidshare, mediafire ? You can host them on 4shared, mihd, windows live skydrive. Because mediafire is based on slots for downloading and for many countries these slots are always busy irrespective of the traffic to the files. Even if you see less traffic to your downloads i can't download those files because of slots. Slots allotted for asian countries are too low, so if you can host it for 4shared or mihd, skydrive then it'll help a lot to look at your code. Thanks for the tutorial as well.

I think you should install XAMPP or uniform server on your computer. Once you install those you can experiment with php and mysql easily. Start slowly, don't go directly into connectivity if you don't know how to. Start with working locally on php files then get into database programming. There are some tutorials for working with database on xampp or uniform server. Some online tutorials applies to example only online server, you can modify them to work locally.

My friend once told me, never chase two cars and gals at the same time, because there will be always another. There is learning curve to almost every OS. You should blame yourself for that. When you get good choice with one OS, why switch and then blame another ? I know we all do that but seriously there is no apple's fault in this. In fact they made operating system easy in comparison to BSD/Linux distros out there. Comparing OSX and ubuntu you'll find that even ubuntu is using the window manager theme like OSX. In fact gnome is ripped version of OSX desktop. There is pro and cons to every operating system. You're using it so you have to suffer with it. Or you have always option to switch back.

As said earlier, uninstall applications. Plus stop using facebook connect as way to connect or login to some sites. There is flaw with that as well these days. If applications are removed and still you're facing issues with the facebook then i suggest you to avoid visiting some group pages or profiles where there is apps running with weird JS.

Problem is it's not that easy. Many countries have restriction about credit card usage and allotment issues. Kids and unemployed people can't get credit card. Same case with students in many countries, that is the reason people always wander around to see if they can bypass this issue. Depends on how much part is static. Parts like sidebar, footer and navigation remains static for almost any site. But if you just added feed to static page then it will serve no different than those static pages which are manually updated. Search engines rarely considers those pages as dynamic. More updated content(full posts or full feeds) in dynamic sites is what crawlers are looking for. Even short feed is not sufficient because that way crawlers can find out lesser updates of page. If you want readers for your blog then getting static page is worst thing you can do-from both SEO and user point of view. But for portfolio and occasionally updated blog it's enough to keep feed and your folio on front page. But in later case don't expect search engine traffic and reader involvement to your site.

Alchohol delivery service is likely to work. There are guys like gary waynerchuk who did it on international scale and are successful in it. It is good business idea. But for that many business ideas and legal formalities need to be done to get profit at the end. I'm not sure how and what type of formalities needs to be completed to work this. I'm not sure how we all (including scientist) possibly think about multiple universe or dimensions. It could be dead zone there or could be space-time loop. I would like to think if there is space-time loop, that way we able to witness the universe back in time. Just like warp gates this space-time loop traveling is also hypothesis but it's interesting.

Don't make your front page static- because that way it'll be hard for search engines to see if your page is new and updated. Search engines only care for text content as update not flash or images. I suggest you to check out some portfolios on smashing magazine or devlounge so that you can see how other designers are blending the front page with content and the folio or graphic. I have seen many sites that do have static page with blog feed for readers to read and the graphic to keep readers busy in navigation or in folio. Check how other designers are doing this effectively, copy them and from there you can add what you want. Variation will always be there even if you imitate them . @deadmad - WP-super cache and front-page is entirely different concept to handle here. In front page static- some people can have html handcoded to look static as the way they want while wp-super cache purposefully turns into html to speed up server and to avoid multiple heavy calls.

VMware is the most famous virtualization application. Many windows users use it for trying out linux distros. That includes me as well. I don't think linux is worthy enough for me to get hard disk space. I'm happy with the codecs and some programs on windows so these days that is the way i'm using linux. Microsoft virtualPC is also one from microsoft that can be used on macintosh and windows. Paralles Virtual machine is for Mac users. There is going to be a windows release as well but i'm not sure when. As simpletone said earlier, most of the windows virtual machines on these applications require more than 1GB of RAM. So it's better to get atleast 2GB RAM while working on windows. Linux runs fine with 512 RAM on any virtualization application.
