Move where ? Namecheap ? or any other site ? Only site that was competing with godaddy was namecheap because Network solution and some other registrars are having lots of glitches. Take case of Xisto - Web Hosting, they increased the price of domain to 14$ because of the issues with certificate registrar. So i think that is wrong move to change registrar. Godaddy is grand registrar with many options and services. Only thing is that they are moving to other management and because of which many people may get upset. This happens with every company takeover and should not be misunderstood with company fall out.

First place is from the shop where you purchased apple computer or accessories. Other places are there depending on which area you live and if there is any apple service center or shop there. Online places ar : newegg, amazon, apple shop, barnes and noble and many other shopping sites. If you've purchased apple computer from one shop in your country then you know where to look for the components. Except for processor/motherboard and graphics card, rest of the accessories that you get in any shop works with apple. You can work any keyboard with apple, provided that you have drivers cd. Same applies with USB/Mouse/Modem and other accessories. Apple OS is closed to it's hardware and it is not sold separately for other vendors or individual buyers of other platform. Apple OS can only be upgraded or purchased by those who own it or want to own the hardware that comes with it. Yes it is. But there are still some people who do that and that is why we see some virtual machine or emulators for apple.

If you're ready to give the credit for your work and images then you can use creative commons. I think there are many ways with which you can use creative commons instead of searching for free stock images. There are millions of pics under creative commons licesense and that is one good way than low quality stock images. I think if your project have no issues or uses too many modification of original image then i don't think there is anything wrong using a creative commons attribution image. Other than that there are corbis and some similar sites. I rememer a search engine that uses to point to free images. I gues ditto or something was it's name.

So i break it to you - apple os is hardware dependent and that is why parts are only available from vendors which are apple certified or known for selling items. Windows and linux doesn't have any hardware dependency hence there is no need for specific parts. So what i'm saying and what you're claiming in that statment, there is huge difference.

USB Drives/Flash Drives hardly show that they require any defragment. No matter how much data transfer and deletion you do it never flags for fragmentation. I yet to understand why there is any issue with defragmenting those drives but i guess they are better at file management ? Could be. But if that is the case then why there is open talk about those drives not requiring any defragmentation ?

Some people predicted the oracle's involvement in SUN could cause many projects to shut down. Who knows they might limit the features in future versions of the MySQL. Knowing all of this i am not at all surprised. Solaris was not the profitable platform for them which is true and there was nothing that it can possibly give to most of the established platform. Moving those developers to linux or Unix variants is better idea. Let's face it there are more than 100 linux variants already and instead of improving the base linux it is not at all helping platform as well. So i'm not surprised if any BSD/Linux or Unix variants dies in future because of such corporate decisions. It is completely understandable that people want to make money from OS and other software and now that people are free-bie suckers with linux, how come small business is going to pay for OS ?

DeplyCMS is going to be very expensive such that average users and business people will not afford this. I think only celebs and other high=pocket people will afford this. I mean 20$ per month for single site ? that is huge atleast in my view. I doubt if they offer anything better than the competitors. Wordpress and some of the other leading competitors have lower revenue model so you can guess how much their pricing model is going to help.Anyway, i think there was no mention of Textpattern CMS. It is used by bloggers and newsletter makers most of the time. It is not cool as wordpress but if you don't want wordpress and require simplicity then textpattern is the CMS for you.

It is outdated yet profitable. Members create content for you and you reap rewards in terms of adsense,kontera and traffic. With earlier mycent version it was easy to get hosting and domains. But new version made it impossible to do just that. 1$ mycent was possible with 1 post but now its impossible. It is outdated but our owner is in profit with content and revenue so we're still here alive. Don't put much head into its unproductive. Here are some ideas for you:1. Banner rotator plugin- Adding this plugin should allow user to put banner ad of his choice (size, code, placement etc). Banner could be static or rotated as per his wish. This plugin could save lots of pain which we take while installing and using Free OpenX script or other paid plugin. There are some banner rotators for free but those plugins don't go well with all the themes, so this should be theme independent. 2. Membership Site Plugin - There are many free and paid available already so you can see where they lack and improve on it. This type of plugin is most searched for or downloaded.3. Job Board Script - Allow users to signup under reader or user role and with administrative permission allow them to post jobs on that respective section. Announce and expire jobs as per the settings. These two plugins are in need by publisher. There are some other plugin ideas as well. I mean plugins that allow users to sort the data on blog without losing the look and feel of the blog. (I mean RSS and other data manipulation). Content fetching from other sites etc. The plugin feature that i want desperately is : Forum integration with wordpress. Let me explain. We have good forums like SMF, Vanilla and PhpBB but they lack good CMS. So adding a bridge between them can be useful. I am not sure how much help you get from smf or phpbb but try bridging vanilla and wordpress. That will be good plugin in itself. This plugin should do something like this. An option at the post section that allows author to create a thread in forums with the post title and 2-3 first sentence with linkback. This will create community easily with this bridge. I hope you'll find these ideas useful.

Habari CMS is not in the list i guess. Some wordpress users wanted to purge the complexity of the CMS and came up with this CMS. I don't know how much useful it is but i just checked up with some of the old bloggers. This CMS has everything that wordpress has and plus few more things. But they are keeping eye on less complexities. So i guess many functionality needs to be plugged rather than in features of CMS officially. If you're using XAMPP or uniform server then do check this project out and let me know how it works.There are many other wordpress forks. I'll post as i find them out.

I'm moved out of reddit and digg. Digg is worst for various reasons. One good reason is that community rarely looks for newbie links and they only upvote the links from their known members which totally cleans the possibility of good traffic. Digg's new version is also less useful for site promotion. I doubt if it gets included anymore in ping.fm.Twitter traffic is only useful if you have too many followers. I consider 200+ followers as good result for your traffic. Any higher number for the followers will definitely help. But i found that twitter users are clicking less url's than they used to earlier. Stumbleupon is like "I2U-U2M" sceheme. This traffic is similar to entrecard. They don't click on your ads and you don't get any clicks on ads. Also they are aware of SEO and affilaite links. So don't expect much juice for your site. Though for beginners it can give good results of tandom traffic. Yahoo meme is less active network. There are some good stories but i yet to see any good traffic from it. Same is case with Y! buzz.

Godaddy is one of the popular and leading source for domain registration. I don't find it amusing because recently even sun was for sale. That doesn't turned down the business of the company. It's just that it is in need for more funds and is waiting for some higher companies to acquire it. But i'm sure many people will take it as shutdown or scam. With java, sun was/is going down everyday even though it is acquired by oracle. I don't find it such old registrar dropping service or closure. Many sub-registrars are dependent on godaddy. Last month there was promo code release from godaddy so i doubt about it's fallout. But acquisition deal- possibility is there.

I don't mind change at all. Besides this change is good if the person is casual search engine user or consumer or viewer. etc etc. We have websites and we want viewers for that. I don't know how it'll be possible to work around google instant. But few of us are more than that. We do have our own sites and we often play with long tail keywords on our site. So long tail keywords get affected in this new search engine update. There are some chances of SEO loss with the new improvement. I did managed to get only loss of "long tail keywords". Trying to digg more for it to know how it affected SEO.

Some people are manipulating SEO and are generating large adsense traffic. Because of which many such genuine users are having issues with adsense. Though it is not that bad as people see or think. I think one should take calculated risks with adsense and the facebook ads. Just because it is 20k$ budget doesn't mean that it is big. Big money comes with risks, i think that company needs to consult with better SEO for the results. Otherwise without results such sites will rip it off in no time with such huge budgets.

There are some sites but i'm not sure what exactly you want out of it. Do you want to print your PCB ? Or you want to edit your PCB file ? In either case you need alternative software for yenka. If this is not what you're looking for then please be specific. I first thought you want the PCB manufacturer who can design from your .pcb file. Is this what you want to do ? I didn't like this new improvement at all. They turned off many keyword researchers like me. I'm sure others are turned off as well. Reason for that is you can't access google wonder wheel while instant search is ON. Same is the case with the "related searches" that you can access in depth which is not possible with instant search. I do managed to turn it off and get things working. There are few things that i want to fix google with - avoid getting redirected to national/regional google site and instant search. For casual searchers and people who are into searching for what they want, instant search looks good provided that they have good internet connection.

There are some concepts that does need the guidance from the mentor. I dont know where that mentor should be. Any experienced person than you on and off the internet is fine. Why i am saying this is because these days i came across cpanel and ruby on rails deployment. I yet to find any good solution for this. And my experience with college or university professor tells me that i'll less likely to get the help from them so any course over there is useless. In such case learning on your own is beneficial to know how things work.

That's true. Cushy CMS has small learning curve compared to other CMS. I know that wordpress is used for the static sites.In fact many sites earlier using joomla or drupal are now migrated to wordpress for the static website content. I think maintenance and the content organization and learning curve for the user makes it easy in case of wordpress. But somehow why i feel that stacyapp is much better for the static website. Music works for me. I have trouble of insomnia as well. I dont know how to get rid of it. It is more of work oriented problem than anything. I use sleep sound machine as well in order to get some sleep. Sleep sound machine also known as white noise machine can be used for that. There are plenty of white noise songs available in mp3 format. You'll definitely benefit from the white noise or sleeping sound machines. It is rare to see it not working for the people but for me it worked and to some extent it does help except that insomnia part.

If i'm not wrong then blackfish or something was the IDE borland came up with for php. There was also one IDE for java they brought up which was discontinue i don't know if there is much in museum of borland. But i'll go for borland only if there is delphi or C++ GUI requirement. Othewise i never found borland IDE's attractive. But then again there are few good and official already for java so no need for them to invest in it.

Nice to see this thread. I have came across cushy CMS before. Then again if it's not suitable for blogging then i doubt that i need it in any way. I'm not sure how come static CMS seems to be alive these days. Yet to use ruby on rails on Xisto - Web Hosting. And i created thread for ruby on rails support or application deployment help. But it went unnoticed as usual from here. So i don't know how to get that ruby on rails CMS working here. I'll see that and will let you know about it. @Nitin, agree about drupal's complexity. I don't think it's even worth for newbies to look into such complex system.

Well police forces in asia are really pathetic. Why just philipines ? Take case of indian police. They are threat to normal people and they keep troubling them. I don't know why police have any issues with normal people.Taking bribe and releasing criminals is also one habit of police in india. I lost my faith on police in india. They are not co-operative but more of fearful force just like gangster or mafias. I remember the quote from the movie fast and furious "the difference between a criminal and police is one bad judgment". Atleast this applies to the indian police.
