Academic misconception. C has nothing to do with being a root language of programming. You seem to be from india and people over there teach C/C++ religiously and this is the reason for misconception. Many people learn programming from ruby, python and other languages which are based on interpreter. It has nothing to do with being a root language for the programming. In fact C makes you fail at many places and you end up wasting lot of time. On the other hand python, ruby can be quickly learned and help to learn other languages quickly.

First just learn to create a basic game using game maker which is not at all difficult. Then you can pack it with both exe and web game as it's way too easy. I found this solution for you, it works with most themes. But if it fails then unfortunately you have to change your theme or framework. You can't do that with your theme's template so this settings is from the core of the wordpress. Why don't you install comment system plugins like commentluv or similar to see if these plugins allow you to do that. You'll not get comment if you set systems like disquss or intensedebate because they enable nofollow and that is one more reason for traffic going down. Though i do suggest you to enable akismet and other anti-spam measures on your wordpress. Otherwise your site will be hit by spam bot and maybe you'll get frsutrate and disable commenting. So in order to avoid that go to settings > discussion > set your comment approval before appearing on site. This will more filter your comment section. It depend on the type of license sometimes. Some license explicitly ask for the link while some licenses are fine with simple attribution. Most of the creative commons attribution can be with simple notice without link. But flickr users who are releasing the work under creative commons are asking for linkback. Which in my opinion is fair because they want to showcase their talent and unless people link to it, that's not possible. So for case of flickr and other photography sites it's better to get link under the image or at the end of article in credits section or paragraph. If you paid for your image then there is no need to give any attribution as it is covered in stock item license. For wikipedia, if content is under public domain you should only give the simple notice with name of author. If the author is releasing the content other than GPL or creative commons then you should better give them link. It's good if you link to professional writers because that way search engines also view for credibility between both sides. Wikipedia commons images should be rewarded with their name instead of 'wikipedia commons tag'. You should only mention name of author and the year or his work for credit. No need to mention it is from wikipedia unless it is wikipedia released image from GPL license.

This will be possible only if you code your own theme and set functions for it. Right now you're writing loop which is restrictive to this theme. How many such script issues are solved at support side ? None. Since wordpress 2.9 i'm experiencing this issue here on Xisto - Web Hosting. Do we pay for hosting, just to get manual script installation or manual update ? jeez, sounds like this site is turning out to be 1and1 where these problems are regular. I mean you update every script on your site, or say plugin manually instead of asking hosting support to solve the issue of plugin uploading error ? This 'it's alright' and 'we can manage' type of attitude brought us these days of admin inactivity. This problem is because your site is treated as static by wordpress core so it diverts the results to specific pages instead of giving the options like in dynamic pages. The search form tries to get the close or accurate keywords and just displays the page. This is sometimes a glitch because you don't get real or accurate results that you want from the query. You can do one thing here though, just use plugin that has google search enabled in it. Also don't forget to use your own adsense ID in it. This plugin will give multiple results to your page and are likely to be relevant. I'm sure it is close to what you'll find for static search widgets. Another alternative is to use search everything page which brings closer results and displays it on page. It never redirects to certain page which is what you want here. Using someone's image without credit is the big con which makes anyone look less professional and less serious about information and work. People will also feel free to copy his work if he copies images text from others. So there is no con directly if remixing/attribution is preserved by author. I'm not sure of questions raised by vhortex because i have never seen images which are changing their license from creative commons to restrictive ones. To avoid glitches better search for creative commons attribution images. Because those who release into this license format rarely revert back to commercial or private license.

Though it may be amazing for php and java working but it has serious performance issues. Any PC with less than 1GB RAM is going to die if they enable this application. It just makes app and the entire OS slow as possible. For unit testing and other framework usage i think eclipse is way better than netbeans. But this is just my opinion on how things are working.

You can always pay via paypal if you mycents goes down. But considering - Outdated fantastico scripts cpanel limit for maxfile size (2mb) which restricts wordpress upgrades Softaculous with no updates and not moved to free license slow support for mycent users(users: -sky-, ash and many others moved to other sites because of this) Renewal 15 days before expiry date(auto renewal) which cuts down mycent or paypal cash Expensive domains in comparison to namecheap.com (every domain in Xisto - Web Hosting costs 12.99$) Low mycent for older member with 1500 posts onwards Consider above points and tell me how long you can plan for your site hosted here. It's better to start looking for alternate cheap hosting sites if you consider the above points. Even this post on forums and get hosting is turning out to be expensive if mycents don't reward you in time. It takes lot of your time and you can't spend time on your own site or other online activity. You can't even plan for pre-pay in advance for hosting if mycent is such low.

By the way why you reverted back from linux mint ? anything that annoyed you ? or you didn't like the way distro offered to you ?. I rarely see anyone moving away from either ubuntu or mint. Mint is small and less resource hungry so was curious to know why you switched back to maverick.

Always prefer to search for creative commons images on the net. Some of the images on wikimedia are copyrighted to author or are to brand or some public agency. Unless and until mentioned as in public domain better not to use these images.I have found that most of the public domain images in US are also applicable as public domain in other countries as well. Some countries in asia have no public domain internet content laws so just follow the rule of US public domain content law because most of your hosted servers are likely to be in US. Just like Xisto or other popular free host which is hosted in United states. In your case it violates copyright of original image no matter how useful or better you do it to it. If you can do better to existing image then why not create yourself or buy clipart or image pack for the images that you need. If you can't buy online then use creative commons images with or without attribution based on the license of the image.

If people take complaining negatively then even i should start posting like members who write 'it's about mycents' in their signatures. Seriously this is my only interest left in this forum. Google ads alone will hardly make any money unless you're on revenue sharing option with sites like xomba or snipsly. In that case earning increased because these sites gets more traffic. So it's better to use adsense ID on multiple sites before using it on your own sites alone. Affiliate marketing, email marketing and PPC are also good options but i learned one hard lesson of not keeping all eggs in one method. You have to test all the methods and earn money depending on your efforts.

20MB mail attachment is not bad service and it is quite rare among many popular portals. I know that gmail is restricted to 10mb and so are the others. They're asking you to insert disk because you have notified CD/DVD as repository. Without alternate repositories like internet or network, there is no way you can download and install GCC. You need to watch out for a way to show them a repository link. You can get it installed if they found any repository. Mostly gcc is installed for default setup but unless you're running custom install it will not be installed so you have to give path to repositories in synaptic or whatever update manager you're using.

Codeigniter and Cakephp will work irrespective of the types of the hosting that you got. Cakephp is small and perfect for those small project. I didn't used it on production websites but on small local development sites which i deployed for some of my clients. No experience for full swing high traffic site. Codeigniter can be small and lightweight at the same time depending on how you want it to behave. There are some comic strip sites using this framework for custom solutions. There are some e-commerce sites running codeigniter for their working and for forums. Both these framework has some ready to use modules (depending on whether you want to pay for them or to get for free). Caching is supported on codeigniter but not sure for cakephp framework. It's very easy to work with cakephp and i can tell you that even newbie can work with it. Codeigniter will take some time for newbies but considering you're fairly good at php you'll have no trouble with codeigniter. By the way i have seen you on Xisto posting your website links on old threads just to promote your website. I suggest you not to do that here or else moderator on this site will spot that and will issue either ban or infraction, whichever applies.

If we try to see as lightweight then wordpress may not be the first or even close to lightweight. There is thread by another user on CMS where he listed some lightweight flat file CMS which are much better than wordpress. But learning curve and database dependency is what makes wordpress a better CMS than any other so-called hyped CMS (joomla and drupal).

Mozilla composer - this program will let you build simple HTML files and that you can use to upload to host on asta or any other host. This is free program that let's you build website.NVU - this is also one free software which you can use to build websites. These websites can be uploaded using FTP program to host.About your way of using images or other things to upload and build site. I think you need CMS to do all this dirty task on web. You can use drupal, joomla and wordpress depending on what you like to carry these tasks. I prefer wordpress as it lets me customize website the way i want.
