  1. It wouldn't look so good on a mule.
  2. Welcome to trap 17, I would also like to welcome you to this ever growing and improving (not that it needs to), I also like most of those with a lot more, especially maintaining my site (which I am redesigning btw) only problem is my very slow work rate (I've been redesigning it for a few months, could have finished in a week) anyway enough about me. I look forward to dissusing most of those subjects, and hope you can be an active member here.
  3. I just made this new sig, after ages of my old (its so old its killzone based). And to go with my almost newly designed website (hopefully finished by the end of the week). Here it is: I also made a wallpaper to go along with the sig. here is a link: Wallpaper I would like your comments on this, constructive critisism is welcome (anything to improve my work. while the wallpaper is minimalist I do consider it to be my best ever. (well out of 3).
  4. Yeah I feel like that most of the time in fact some times I even wake up pissed off now whats up with that, any way its good to let out a little anger now and then, keeps you from exploding or some b******s like that.
  5. Finally some one I can agree with, ok so at this spacific time I am totally p***** off at the amount of people still saying how it was an unjust war, I mean its happened already and no one can change that so what is the point in still protesting aginst it, I also agree with your statement that if it was about oil then petrol would not be so bloody expensive, but thats another matter. I also urge people who do not agree with the war to look at some of the things Saddam has done I mean this is a guy that if said something he did not like, he would feed you to his dogs. And also all those weapons he 'doesn't', well guess what he fired into Kuwait at the start of the war, thats right weapons he did 'not' have.
  6. Spiders, I hate them they are so ugly, and what do they need all those legs for anyway? I especially hate fast spiders, but the one good thing is that they are easy to squash. Thats about it apart from heights but only really high heights, oh and by the way heights dont kill people its hitting the ground that does all the damage.
  7. It still doesn't solve the problem that The Internet Explorer engine is funamentally flawed, in numerouse ways not least the security holes, it is however a step in the right direction for Microsoft, however I do (well did) also like to avoid using additional toolbars. and while I think this will help Internet Explorer, Microsoft have to admit that IE is flawed and I consider the best thing for them to do with it is to start again.
  8. Got to be headphones, especially when I'm in a mood, or worse in a college class, although my ICT teachers cool he doesnt mind. I like the way that you can just block out the rest of the world with headphones, also I like to turn it right up and cause long term damage to my hearing, I will however use the speakers when the house is empty and turn it all the way up, to annoy my nieghbourghs (thats probably spelt wrong), they play awful dance rubbish (sorry dance fans) and I like to enlighten them with Deep Purple, but overall I prefer the louder and I think cleaner sound that headphones offer.
  9. I will probably get a Playstation 3, I'm an dedicated Sony follower, However I do have to admit that the original Xbox was (still is) a very good system and that I did almost get one. However on initial inspections of the next generation consoles I do not think that the Xbox 360 is that big of an advancement, over the Xbox, I also think that the Playsation 3 will be more powerul than the next Microsoft system. So I will probably get that, but I could still change my view and will leave the final decision until I have played both systems. I also think that you should not totaly neglect the next generation Nintendo system the Revolution just yet.
  10. Well aint that a good thing surely, well if Apple can offer a track for (I think) 70p ( well Im pretty sure it is under ?1 (sorry non-English people, I really cant be bothered to convert it) then that is great news and at least this way everyone is happy, the user gets a cheap song, the artist and record company get paid. And it is much safer. I have to admit I have not used iTunes because a friend with an iPod told me it was rubbish (iTunes, that is) and I got a differnt mp3 player any way.
  11. I have to admit that I still use the Defragmenter that came with Windows XP, but I dont use it that often, I do however think that it is serverly lacking in the features it offers ( its also mega slow). But on a side note I found (what I consider to be) a very good Defragmenter that will defragment stuff like the Pagefile, hiberfill.sys , and the registry... if you would like to try it out the website is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ They do have a range of other cool programs. P.S. as far as I can tell all there software is free and dispite what you may think I do mnot work for them.
  12. I agree totaly with you Joannespw, religion is outdated , and for its own sake if not anything else, it must be updated. Ok I'm first to say I'm not exactly the most relligious guy on the planet, and am in fact fundamentally opposed to ALL organised religion ( but thats not the point here). I personally find it hard to take a moral lesson from any organisation that so clearly descriminates against woman. I definatly do not want to offend anyone with this following statement. (Please read that last sentance at least five times). In my oppinion it is the Catholic Church who are worst for this, I mean they actually told Africans dying of AIDS that condoms ,the undisbuted best way of stopping HIV spreading(I dont care what counters you may have to that, I am viewing it personally as a fact), helped to spread HIV, now I definately find taking any for of morality lesson from an organisation which would openly oppose something that could save at least thousands of Africans. If I have offended any Catholics (or indeed any religion) I can only apoligise if my oppinions offend you.
  13. That is the worst kind well apart from the irrelevent questions you mentioned, that one really gets me, pretty much for the same reason (I Think) it bothers you so much. Another thing that I personally find massively annoying is whent people ask the same questions about 12 times. Although as with most I do ask my fair share of stupid questions.
  14. I would also like to see a united Europe, however there are a few things I am opposed to, firstly I do not agree with a unified currancy especially one that is as weak as the Euro is currently, and I would also like to see less interference from Brussles (unless it is to change one of the many incredibally bent laws we have In England). Ok so I am the first to admit I have very little knowledge of the workings of the European Union, however I do feel this is in part down to burocracy, and I also feel that alot of others feel this way and said no simply through ignorance, I mean I haven't even seen a copy of European Constitution. It is my opinion that in order for the EU to succed the leaders need to be more 'in touch' with reality, and would it be to much to ask for some sort of profile on the leaders to enlighted us 'little people'. While I do not in theory oppose the EU, I would like to see it ran differently. But thats just my opinion, and hey what do I know about politics.
  15. That wouldn't have been half as bad if they hadn't have said they did it, ok so the initial act is bad enough but to then openly claim copyright is terrible. I know that ,as prevously mentioned by fffanatics, most novice web designers use aspects of other sites to enhance their own, I know I did this but the entire layout, pictures and all, that just totaly sucks. And also on top of this their is very little you can do to protect against it other than claiming copyright and commenting your html code with name and time stamps and so on, it is insanely easy to steal an entire website.
  16. I personally prefer Winamp, and I will also admit that I have no actual reason for this I just prefer Winamp, over the other major Media players that said I do use Windows Media Player 10 for encoding cd's as mp3's. And for no apparent reason have Real Player 10 (my sister wont let me uninstall it) and have previosly used and prefered (for a while) Quintessential Player and Music Match Jukebox 9 both of which I found to have very good auto tagger features. However for reasons unknown to me I keep returning to Winamp. I do have to admit though that I do think WMP is better for viewing videos.
  17. Yes that is very annoying and hopefully it will eventually be completely abolished, btu I dont think this is very likely, the best we can do is to report this terrible act, which is made all the more worse when you consider how easy it is to quote the original poster. And the credits and reputation system I do not personally think that it is hard to keep your hosting, I think it makes it easier as you can see how close you are to being suspended/banned, as it means that an admin can not just ban you and not give a reason.
  18. What more can you expect... general competance would be nice, but we should all know you aint getting that from Microsoft. Now it is my personal opinion (as i'm almost certain it is witht he majority of Xisto users) that the old system was perfectly fine, and definatley did not need 'improving'.
  19. Well I think your got the antivirus nailed, as I use AVG and have tried Avast and Bitdefender, but they were not as good so I went to back to AVG. I'm sorry I cannot help you with the spyware thing as I am currently using Ad-aware , I can make one suggestion DO NOT use Microsoft Antispyware, and firewall I supose Zone alarm is ok, it just sometimes messes the system if you try to uninstall it. Sygate Personal Firewall is suposed to be good but I have not used it.
  20. Short answer... NO. I do not believe that peace will ever be possible, not for us anyway I mean the Human race seems to have a built in instinct to control everything (and by human race I mean every last one me,you, even the wonderful and kind admins here, have some kind of instinct to want to control everything around them) and aslong as this continues, certain individuals will go to extreme lenghts to impose there will on the rest of humanity. And Its not only Humanity that is suffering, our seemingly uncontrollable urge to dictate has seen off many a species with the destruction of their natural habitat.I do however agree with you that there have been considerably improvements in the world especially the bringing of democracy to most of Europe, I do also think that certain governments (no names but I'm sure Walker knows who I mean) are not entirely driven by honest means. It is my oppinion that until the Human race has undergone some seriuos evolution there will not be true peace.
  21. I'm with you on that on. You are guaranteed to yet a virus if you download enough, although as you say not downloading executable file's you are slightly safer, but problem is that some people are morons and want to cripple home computers for no apparent reason. Now to top it all off you dont even have to download it, just being connected to the internet is enough to get your system infected.
  22. I personbally have not noticed any considerable slow down with the service at Xisto, that said however I am still a lowly dial-up user (yes I know the world has moved on, but its my mams fault) so the service has always been slow, however I do have to say that Xisto is one of the faster sites (although that may be the amount of it I have cached, what with comming here most days), on a side note yes I do really like brackets.
  23. I'm with you Mysterio, Google is clearly the best search engine, it has the most relevent results, and ranks them in n appropriate level of relevence I alos think it has the best other features aswel i.e. g-mail and such like. I do however think that it can often be worth trying out more than one search engine in order to find the best results, this however does not condone the use of MSN, which in my opinion could not search its way out of paper bag (and other cliched metaphores to that extent). Quick summery... Google = best , MSN = what that's a search engine?
  24. Firstly I just want to say I'am sorry but I have no idea if this can be done. but my initial feeling is yes, I mean if G-mail can do it why dont Xisto. But I would like to throw my support behind this idea as I think it would be highly usefull. especially the taskbar thing, I know I would definately get it.
  25. Right please understand that I am not trying to slate Microsoft or you personally, but I really honestly suggest using firefox, now I am guessing you get this alot, but firefox is a better browser, its safer, faster and just plain better. In case you dont know it can be found here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/ ; and a site I like to use to help people identify some of the main problems with IE: StopIE.com I hope this has convinced you; but at the end of the day the choice is yours and if you do not want to use firefox, or indeed another alternate browser, then that is entirely up to you, I can just make this (hopefully, because it's how I intended it) friendly suggestion.
