Good Grief Graphics

Never heard of the shows. The only decent one is the one you posted last. The others, I don't like the idea of simply taking a bad picture of the show and using it as a wallpaper, the image has to be a better quality to even think about that.

Not actually a vector graphic file. What did you do it in? If you did it in ps, then it's a raster, not a vector. If it was in say, flash, then it is a vector in the original flash file. The top area looks pixely, so I'd guess you did it in ps. It is interesting, but it's missing something.

It wuld be even better if you did something different with the image, such as turning the lower half into a water reflection. (The ismplest but least realistic way to do this would be to free transorm the bottom half with a skew or distort, and then use one of the distort filters to create a very small ripple effect.)But, it's up to you to decide what to do, not me.

While it's true I Started out the same way, let me give you a little bit of advice. While you can learn things from tutorials, the main reason to use a tut at all is to get comfortable with some techniques and give you new ideas. Do something else with that image, all it is now is someone else's work just done on your computer. Plus, experiment wiht the settings they used for the tutorials, try to come up wiht something different that looks even better. True, that's difficult for you to do now, but if you approach graphics with this mindset, then there's always good pissibilities in the future.

GIMP is pretty much it.

The bg is okay, but the rest of it sucks. Spend more itme on your graphics, don't rush things out for peopel to review before it's finished.

One render is plenty, (I don't even use one.) but the background just plain sucks. The text has some potential, but I'm not sure I like the gradient on the text as it is.

If only that money was real...Well, I hope to be a pro graphics designer, but I'm not able to use my computer right now because of my spanish 2 grade. I may be able to in a few days or so, but not right now.

though apparently it dosen't matter now, as current members have 5 gb and more space. (Can't remember what it said in the e-mail.) I kind of like that, I was holding off on asking for the 4th package because I'd lose all the credits, and I have been hovering at 22 or so for a while and wasn't sure if I could get it back up there.

I don't like the layer of purple set to color over it, try a different way to get purple into the image. The bg part could use some work also. I odn't reccomend spending 15 minutes on something, as you can't get it to look what you want it to. I don't feel like explaining that part any further.

Nice image, you have good knowledge of photoshop (if that's what you used) but grunge is tending to be newbish because everyone does it, grtunge brushes are always the same.  If you still like grunge, what i did was select marquee a part of an image and define it as brush, that was grunge not just scratches.  I didn't keep myself occupied with grunge too long though.

I had similar thoughts too, much of the grunge you see nowadays is brushes downloaded from some site and randomly (or sometimes purposedly) used in or on an image. Something different and completely revolutionary has to be done for me to like it now.

yeah, ps. More contrast? lol, some peopl hated the contrast already in it. I think it's perfect.

I'm not so sure I like it. For one thing, I can't stand the outside of it, if you're going to do that, don't use gif. The indexed color mode will screw with your edges if there's cut out area's or whatever. PNG is the file format for that. I alos just don't like it in the firstp lace, not a good idea with that specific image, It might work i nsome cases, but not there.

Bash, i'll have to say i don't really like your splash, but that's my opinion - pixel fonts are best in caps.  But i loooove you wallpaper, make that your splash.  I just wondered, you're probly using cinema 4d?  Because i cannot create abstract like that in 3ds, theres no matrix extrude but hey.  I just wonder why people like bryce so much, ive heard a lot about it but don't know it.  can anybody help?  I like the silver one made by benz1435...

I've been too busy with other things (Mostly basketball) to worry about promoting my site. The actual site kind of sucks, but I'd really like to get an active community at the forums. I need staff who have some free time to dedicate to graphics, etc. I will think of rewards, etc. at one point or another for whatever. Heck, just join the forums and become at least slightly active and I'll be happy.

Both are decent, when combined, but the best is webroot's. It's not free, but you can get a 30-day trial. Also, don't forget to run these programs in safe mode so you can get even more spyware. Sorry if I may have accidentally posted some things twice, I hit add reply then stopped it real quick to add something I forgot to. We need the edit button back, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

It's basically a mixture of a bunch of renders from blender, I beleive that I didn't use anything else. I can't remember because it's been a while sunce I made it, but I'm pretty sure it's just blender renders. Well, basically anyway.

I didn't liek this sig enough to use it myself, so that's why I'm giving it away. There are people who can't do graphics but want cool sigs. If anyone wants it, Ill put their name on it for them. Or you can do it yourself, whatever.
