You have it right shadowx. It calls the variable names the names of the elements in the array. I would assume it wouldn't work on numerical arrays, but I'm not sure.

The extract() function is used in PHP to take an array and split it up into variables. MySQL queries can be parsed this way. Below is an example. $query = mysql_query("select username, password from users where uid=1");$result = mysql_fetch_array($query, mysql_assoc);extract($result);print "Your username is : $username"; The extract() function works for ANY array, including $_POST, and $_GET. Makes processing form data a LOT easier .

I've heard a lot of bad things about Windows Vista, but some goods things too. As said above, its only been 3 weeks since its been out, and in most software there are some bugs at the first release. Windows Vista is a new operating system. Things are going to be different, hopefully for the better. Some drivers might be incompatable. I don't know whether Microsoft changed the way its OS deals with drivers in Vista, but its possible some techincal details have been changed with drivers. Its not always the person who writes the operating system that causes the bug, bad or incorrect programming by software programmers can cause errors, too. As for this: Windows Vista has a new graphics processor. This is once again the job of a software programmer, not a system programmer, to fix. I haven't looked at the technical details of Windows Aero, which I believe the new Graphics System in Vista is called, but if they made it incompatable than there probably are a lot of changes. I am designing an Operating System from scratch, and it is not easy. However I find its not a bug in my in my OS code, its usually a bug in the code I'm writing for my OS.

How would the air compressor keep running? It cannot keep running off of air itself, thats against the laws of physics. Its still a great idea. Are any companies trying to make this work that you know of?

When I was younger, in 8th grade, I wanted to design a computer program that would offer this same service. I think that it is a great idea, except that teachers will call it cheating and plagarism. This sort of site would be better for worksheets, not essays. Distribution of essays is not only plagarism, which in many cases if you are caught you can be suspended or expelled from your school, essays would also take up a lot more space on your server. Even thought copying won't help anyone learn anything, I still would like to see the rise of a site like this. I'm for it. If you need help with PHP, I'll try to help you the best you can.Also, if your site does get big, think about all the money you could make off ads. Just thought I would throw that in there.

If you need something to access the internet, download Knoppix 5.1. Its Linux, its easy to use, and you can access the internet from it. I'm using it right now. Just Google Knoppix and download it and burn the image to a CD.

Technically everything is erased from your hard drive when you format it so yes, they are erased. However your computer provides basic support for things like video, disk drive access, keyboard, mouse, and other devices. Once you reinstall Windows, Linux, or OS X that operating system will reload your device drivers. Your computer is still useable if you format your hard drive. Hope this helps. This was very fun for me to read. Its obviously very well thought out. I think that after the dam is built and the country is debt free or close to it the Leader should run for president, or whatever executive power they have in the Republic of Congo. Considering that he or she brought the Republic of Congo out of debt, I think that the people of Congo would be pleased to have him or her lead there country to further greatness. Once the Leader is in office he or she can really start focusing on taking over the world. Perhaps you should have the Leader increase the price to neighboring countries and some how put them in enough debt to convince them to allow you to buy them and form a bigger Congo all under your control. If I was the Leader, that is what I would do. I would also while I was in office increase the medical technology and education and food in Congo. This will make the people of Congo like you more.

Wow, that is amazing that hackers can do that. Blue Tooth is used to interact with other blue tooth devices like computers, printers, and wireless headsets. I've never heard of Bluetooth being used for the internet though. GPRS is the technology that mobile phones use for the internet. Also for most phones, Bluetooth is a feature that needs to be turned on for it to work.

I've used a couple of FTP programs, but my favorite by far is SmartFTP. Its easy to use, I like its user interface, and its fast. I really like the File Manager however, whenever I'm working on my page at school it works really well. And the teachers don't notice a thing. Its nice .

Do you truly believe that all psychiatrists are out there to make you money and make you sicker? There are some good people left in the world. You sound paranoid. I show loads of creativity and think for myself, I'm not labeled with any psychological problems by anyone INCLUDING my psychologist. I know psychology and psychiatry are different, but in essence they are the same, to help you out with your mental problems. Anyone with depression or anyone who has had it, including myself, will tell you thats bull****. Its not normal to wake up wanting to kill yourself. Its not normal feeling so worthless and unloved. Its not normal having nightmares and dreams about death. Its not right. Its obvious to me that you've never went through any real psycological problem in your lifetime. Depression is not feeling down sometimes, its feeling down ALL the time. While I agree with you when you say we shouldn't be happy all the time, humans should have a wide range of emotions, who says he isn't angry all the time? I don't know whether he is or not but the people I've met that say they are angry since birth seem to be angry most of the time. Most people know that being angry only sometimes isn't a problem. Psychology works for me and to say that psychiatrists use their patients for money only shows your own ignorance and paranoia. Make sure you put it in either the public_html folder or the www folder. It doesnt matter which one you put it in.

I think its a preference of what OS you prefer. Both PCs and Macs use intel chips, which means both can run Windows, OSX, or Linux . I prefer Linux above all of them; I use windows for gaming and also for Bochs because I can't figure it out how to install it on Linux, which is kinda sad. I started working on my operating system yesterday, and once its done and workable I'm sure I'll switch to that.

If you have a lot of traffic you can make some money off of adspace on your site. Adspace usually costs one payment a month plus a small amount paid to you every click, like 5 or 10 cents. The important thing to consider about adspace is will you users be interested in the product they are advertising. Also a competative price is important. Having ads on your site because unlike Google Adsense you control whats on your site (even thought Google Adsense places relative ads on your site). You also control where they are. Hope this helps.

Can you give more details about the I/O error or even better provide a screenshot? Your file system could have been messed up by something on the Mac which makes it not work on the PC. That's my only guess.

When I'm using Windows I really like WordPerfect 12, and also notepad for things like HTML and when I'm writing PHP. When I'm in Linux I use KWrite. I don't like OpenOffice that much.
