  1. I've had that problem a couple times, clearing all my offline content and cookies seems to fix the problem.
  2. I think the best thing you can do is talk to your host about file permissions, I had to do that with my last host and he did it write a way. Once your file permissions are solved then all 3 errors should go away.
  3. I've never read it, the title sounds boring to me. Sparknotes work really well, we had to do a book report for Composition I this year and I picked a book, read some of it, and then just used sparknotes for the rest. The teacher was impressed at my level of understanding of the book, because it was a really high-level book (Fahrenheight 451). The parts I read were pretty understandable. What do you mean by Sparknotes? I just googled Fahrenheight 451 and found a huge amount of summaries.
  4. I don't have hosting yet but I'll probably end up using the CPanel. "Kid" accounts on AOL are weird, AOL itself (and AIM) are the only thing that can make connections to other computers, which means FTP or Halo or MOHAA and sometimes Java applets don't work unless I'm on my mom's account which is an "adult" account. Its really gay.
  5. I think its called philosophy (sp?). Its a class that I'll probably take in college.
  6. That's pretty weird but it sounds useful.
  7. Sounds like advertisement for http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. I doubt its an actual virus, to be a virus it techically needs to make a bunch of copies of its self, it looks like Spyware or Adware to me.
  8. English is my main language, but I've taken three years of spanish so far. I also can count to ten in Korean.
  9. 1. An editor is a program where you write the assembly code. 2. The compiler takes your assembly code and turns it into something the computer understands. 3. I personally use a compiler called Emu8086. It is an editor, debugger, compiler, and emulator all in one. It is not free software, it costs $50 US but is well worth the money. I believe there is a demo version, you can check it out at https://sites.google.com/site/vkeyboard111/2. Another great compiler is FASM (Flat Assembler). This does not offer the emulation/debugging that Emu8086 does, but it is free. I believe the website is http://www.fasm.net/, if not just google FASM. 4. http://programmersheaven.com/ is a great site for programmers for ANY language. I have the tutorial I learned from on my computer still, if you PM me I'll send it to you. 6. You can order Emu8086 on a CD if you want, but it costs a little extra. FASM does not have a CD.
  10. I'm running 1024x768 32 bit color on a Dell LCD thats about 13-14 inches long.
  11. I found this article about robots and their sense of touch pretty interesting. Click here
  12. That sounds really weird that they would teach CS that way, I don't see why anyone would want to teach that way. I don't have a major in CS or anything, but the way I learned all of what I know was by experimentation. Looking at powerpoints and code examples and reading will only teach you how to do those things that they show you ... but how are you supposed to build off of that? I am sure the programming world expects that you be able to build off of things and be creative and be able to solve problems. I completely agree with you Chez.

    Hi!

Hi! My name is Chris, but you can call me GhostRider or just ghost for short. I will soon be a sophomore in high school and I have been programming since I was in first grade. I know many languages including Visual Basic, PHP, HTML, Assembly, and I am starting to teach myself some C. I'm here to design an awesome website and really enhance my web design skills.
  14. That happens to you too? I hate that!
