  1. Wow, that really is something. I'm quite the big fan of Kurt Cobain myself... This is definitely really cool, I don't think I've ever heard a poem on Kurt Cobain... Most of my friends have an anti-Kurt Cobain thing going on, the others love to rock! Keep writing stuff as good as this and.... Well, I'll love you for it! Keep up the good work.
  2. Yeeeeah, I saw this weeks... possibly even longer ago. It's funny nevertheless There are a lot of jokes about the situation in the middle east, most making fun of George Bush Damn I hate Bush (This coud be taken in many ways)
  3. I use Mozilla Firefox 2.0 ... It's the only way to go! Delvi, you have a hacker userbar and yet you state you use IE?? It's definitely Firefix all the way. IE has crap add-ins and extensions and I just don't like the feel of it.... Firefox is great for hacking, blogging, web dev and so much more! The only time I ever use IE is of I'm testing the compatibility of my site. I do use Opera occasionaly though, although I dislike the fact that it doesn't scale images as a default setting, I like the way you can get it to identify itself as other browsers... can be quite useful
  4. I've always wanted to partition the Hard-Drive on my laptop so I could put something like Auditor on it, but I've never known how... which is a shame because I love Linux. Any chance you could write a tutorial how Ghostrider?
  5. Warning, a little background knowledge is needed.. not much though ^-^ There is a way that you can use remote access to your wireless router... in fact your whole home network for free with no software downloading or anything. Quite a few wireless routers I've come across (h**ked) can be configured for remote access, you just set the password and the port for the remote access. To get to the router, you would type in it's local address. There should be a load of settings for you to manipulate, although the router will be password protected. you can find the default password and username for the router in the manual you got with it. They username is usually "admin" and the password is either "password" or "1234" etc. Right. So you're logged in to your router, check some of the settings, snoop around and learn the feel of it. You will find settings either labled "Remote Access" or "Network Options" etc. Go for these. Then, modify the setting so it's enabled and enter a password and username (if the username is required) For instance, say I chose port 65, and a password of... "laurencetelesia" (For the dumb and ignorant, no quote-marks in the actual password. This may seem like overkill, but seriously, some people these days.). From a different computer (location, country if you wish) I would enter the external IP address of the network with the port after a colon. eg. I would enter in the address bar of my web browser: (again with the quotes thing) "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; After doing all this I would likely get a prompt to enter your password, which in this case is (quotes thing again) "laurencetelesia" (don't ask why that's the password I chose). After entering the password, everything should be fine and dandy. You should be able to access printers from here and generally mess around with the router's settings... not that you would do that to your own router. 'Cos that's the only router you would remotely access Have fun. Stay safe. And there's usually an option to reset all settings EDIT(for the very special TeeCee06): What you can do with this apart from doing things to your printer remotely is that you can access your whole home network and configure your wireless router. Say for instance you're at a friends house and your wireless router is left home on so say... you siblings or parents or whatever can use it. If you had the MAC addresses (permanent, unchangeable) of the computers using the network, you could take a look at the MAC addresses f the computers using the wireless router from your friends house. Also, you can configure your whole router from anywhere in the world... You could print a digital photo of you in Australia on your home printer in America while you're in Australia. Just think of the possibilities... As I said, there is some background/technical knowledge needed.
  6. The Bible. Wrong About Japan by Peter Carey. Both these books changed how I look at life, they radically altered my perspective on everthing. I dislike Christianity, but I do enjoy reading the Bible, even though I disagree with a lot of it.
  7. Chinese + Hawaiian but come from the Philipines?? Sounds like a real cool mix. You seem like a happy, upbeat cool person... I look forward to seeing you post on Xisto! Girly, likes cartoons and has a Punk Rock side? You sound like my kinda person. Be assured I'll check out your myspace... See you on the forums some time soon!
  8. Hmm, let's think... without their permission, it's stealing, and stealing is illegal right? So yes, it is illegal to use someone else's wireless internet connection without permission in almost every country and definetly every state of America. Although this doesn't stop me, it's the only internet access I have (we can't afford the internet ) In fact, as I'm speaking to you I'm using my neighbour's connection... which had a WEP (Wired Equivalent Protection) key which I cracked... I digress, going towards wireless connection security will make me write a few pages about h***king wireless connections, which is not allowed on the lovely Xisto. Although I could write a few pages on securing wireless connections, but this is unrelated to the topic and unneeded. And if they're to stupid or technophobic to be able to properly secure their wireless router, you can probably access the router using it's local IP address and delete the logs of your use before you go home. You can also REALLY mess with their settings, like configuring their router for remote access, or ban MAC addresses of the computers using it so that they can't use it. As Albus said, you could get the router to block IP addresses, although they'd have to be local, and the one's asigned can change, hence aren't reliable . Basically, it's illegal and immoral to use someone else's wireless connection without permission. But it's up to you
  9. Hmm, be the next number 7... methinks so! Seven [English], Sept [French], Sieben [German], Sette (I think) [italian]... You get the idea huh?
  10. Do you REALLY need the tools Windows offers? There is probably a lovely (Maybe even open-source) Linux alternative... Like there are SO many text editors on Linux that are just lovely, possibly even better than windows. If it's a Windows XP only compatible program or application... You're scr***d. If it was a device you wanted in particular that only ran on Windows, there are options for importing the drivers, just google "ndiswrapper". I've never heard of PEBuilder3110, and to be honest, I probably can't be bothered. Although I have heard of WINE which Truefusion mentioned, as I have used it to great effect. I hope what I said helped
  11. WOW. I just wish I could make graphics that good.... I'm gonna learn and learn and learn until I can reach that level of skill... if I ever can. Basically, I think these are amazing. Keep up the good work and do show us all more!
  12. Hmm, I've always wanted to properly understand what a fallacy is.... And now I do I have realised that I point them out to my friends often, and quite enjoy discussing about how or why something is a fallacy with my more intellectual friends.... Or explaining it to the not so smart friends of mine. Thanks
  13. Thank you all for your praises and comments. If you actually liked my poetry you should visit my poetry page on my site here. If you only commented to get credits, who can blame you. And to Husker, who found my poem "weird".... May I remind you that not all poetry makes literal sense. Think of it being told from beyond the grave... I can't be bothered to explain further. And if you don't like the structure of my work Husker, don't read it. Although not all my work is like this And I'm only 13, what do you expect? And to 40esp: I've often tried to put my poems in to song format, even dragging out my keyboard and really trying.... but to no avail it seems Some advice on how to do so would be nice.
  14. Hmm, the weirdest thing I eat was (and still kinda is) this: Chips, on top of that if tomato ketchup and on top of that is custard..... Just dip them. It's lovely! Or so I think. I also eat small sticky toffee puddings with crumbled up biscuits, although that isn't that weird..... By the way.... I hate fish!!!. (I lurve wheatabix though)...
  15. Hmm, sounds like a very good idea! Also seems a lot clearer now than on MSN when I seriously failed to grasp this concept, I was slightly.... happy. And hey, don't talk bad about the stoners, we're okay until we get paranoid.... Anyways.... I think I may take part in this small project of yours.
  16. Hmm, I'd love a PHP chat room, but I wouldn't have the time or patience to manage it, plus forums can be rather hackable... Not that I would know Anyway, slightly more off topic... why are we not allowed to have irc chat rooms?
  17. I'm very tired right now so this might not be so accurate, but: I think the best thing to do is sympathize, unless she's complaining about PMS, sympathize. Try to make her feel better by sympathizing, it's nice to know someone understands you ^-^ jhsmurray said: As Kubi said, it is a stupid idea to follow what a film says and this is an especially a bad idea if the girl in question is insecure about her weight. Just make her feel good about herself .
  18. Keep what you've got, we like you just the way you are! lol Seriously, the whole "I'm The Nicest Evil Fairy Godmother You'll Ever Meet" thing really works for you.
  19. This is one of many pieces of poetry, and seeing as they are on my site, I have been informed that I should put them in quote marks. ? Keiron Davies 2005-2006 You can find more of my poetry on the poetry section of my site here
  20. Damn, if that's your first site then you're well on the way to becoming a great web-designer. My site is crap. The content on yours is all that needs to be increased, the layout is Great! I can't wait to see what great stuff you develop in the future! albinoblcksheep.com is a great link to have on your site, although it kinda contrasts with ebaumsworld.com, personally i would never put a link to that site on any of my pages as they are content-stealing, ruthless.... Well, let's not go in to a rant about ebaumsworld.com. Basically, keep up the good work!
  21. I'm actually not getting it, but i don't own a single SOCOM game, as i've never really liked the style of play and other things about the game, which all together make me not want to play it! Something like Medal Of Honour: Frontline is more my style. Yes, it may be old, but it's a great game! Note: You may want to expand the size of your future posts.
  22. It is really great, i have only one small criticizem [sp], it's that it's too bright and glossy. I think it should be slightly more grainy and realistic. I would expand on this but i really can't find the words. If anything, the skull on the shoulder should be slightly darker, angrier somehow. A lot more aggressive and intimidating. Other than that, great work!
  23. Wow, thanks -[Nero]-, I thought it was great, nice to know it's not all it's cracked up to be. And for all those out there who don't know what CAD is, it's Computer Aided Design.... lazy, you could have googled it.
  24. Hmm, I'm not sure if this is just an individual thing or what, but when I was in a particularly similar situation with a boy who I was very close to and vice versa, it ended horribly I'm not saying this is the case for you, you may just be going through a difficult phase in the relationship, but generally, (from what I know) this situation probably gonna go down from now on. I'd probably cut and run, but that's just me. My advice is to sit down with him (casually! don't be cold or formal) and talk about it, if this fails, or possibly before (depends on what you think best), find a suitable time (a calmer, lighter atmnosphere) seduce him, then again... that could be my dirty mind and belief that sex can solve almost any problem. But, talking's probably best. You need to find if there is a particular reason why he is losing interest, and if there is, try to correct it. Usually, there's nothing more you can do than try to get over it. Whatever happens, I hope it's good
  25. Hmm, greay advice there Yume. I'm 13, live in London, England, and can be a very nasty person when tired. I was called on my mobile phone at 8 am by some stupid telemarketer offering "mobile phones at very cheap prices!!" Now, you must understand that I am awake from 2 pm to 5 am most non-school days (this being one of them), and am really, REALLY grouchy in the morning. This poor telemarketer didn't even get through their second sentence before they were verbally assaulted by me with words which I daren't type in this lovely forum. They actually said sorry and hung up, which was a great achievement for me, and kept me happy for the rest of the day. Basically, if you're a telemarketer, don't call me! I have used this strategy for telemarketers from then, and it is great fun if you need someone to verbally abuse. Yes, I do feel slightly sorry for the telemarketer, who is probably just trying to make some money to scrape a living like my family, but when I'm grouchy, I'm grouchy. So my advice: never become a telemarketer, you will be hated. Dear members of Xisto, please don't think any less of me because of my lack of reluctancy to verbally kick people in. Just don't call me at 6 am to 2 pm, especially if you are selling stuff.
