Well it sounds like attention seeking but to this degree it is still a serious issue. If she really wanted to run away she wouldnt be living at home still, if she wanted to kill herself she would have by now and the fact she constantly asks how pale she is etc... makes me think she wants the attention rather than to actually starve herself. If you are still good friends i would suggest you tell her to stop all this right now and make her promise to stop it, if youre not so close to her then ignore her antics, it might make her stop doing/saying these things as she wont receive the attention but of course it could backfire and make things worse

If you feel confident enough i would suggest making website templates/designs and setting up your own website selling them, either that or sell them on other websites, just search google for website designs and find a site that sells them, i saw one site where most designs were going for $6O each as many times as the author wanted or the buyer could pay over $15OO (yes there are meant to be 4 digits there!) for the template and the agreement that the design would not be sold to anyone else. I dont know any links but you can google "Graphic freelance", i did the same for PHP work and found a few sites, never took on any jobs though.

My dad makes a small amount with ebay, he doesnt do it specifically to earn as its not a lot of money, maybe ?2O - ?3O quid every now and then.Hes into antiques and the way he does it is to look for antiques that are advertised badly, eg "Old Door knocker" for a cheap price, maybe ?1O, he then cleans it up and resells it with a better description and higher price eg "Antique Christopher Dresser Style Door knocker, Great Condition" for ?35 and make himself ?25Its a good idea as many people dont recognise the makers mark on the item and my dad does so he advertises it with their name and that makes it very desirable knowing it is a marked piece from a sought after designer, in this case a guy named Christopher Dresser.And as Soviet said, dont buy from anyone with less than 9O% Positive feedback, and always check their negative feedback as sometimes people will give them negative for a days delay or even by accident which makes them look bad when theyre not.

Hi everyone, when im bored i like to play Age of Empires 2, the age of kings with the conquerors expansion pack, i think.. a friend installed it but i think thats what ive got. Anyway i usually play with a CPU ally and i like to trade using trade carts and as i usually play the black forest maps the trade routes are usually a corridor through the trees and me and my ally generally build walls on these routes to stop enemies, obviously i build gates there so my trade carts can get to his city but the CPU doesnt always build a gate there, sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt so what i want to know is, is there a way of forcing the CPU to build a gate here? The only solution ive got so far is to build my own corridor straight to his market using my own walls and gates but if he beats me to building his walls im screwed!Any ideas?

If all else fails try Open Office as its free software it can act as a bridge between the two versions so i would try googling and downloading open office if you cant find the language pack.

As noted the only reason you shouldnt eat raw blood or meat is because of bacteria, chicken is very risky as chickens can catch/carry very bad bacteria, thats why chicken eggs are vaccinated.I think we can ween ourselves onto raw food, ive seen several survival programs where they drink blood straight from the animals body and also eat the organs such as the liver raw. If we wanted to eat raw meats i think we would need to slowly introduce clean raw meat in very small doses so our body can make a defense against the small amounts of bacteria so that we can eventually eat more and more raw products. Im sure i saw a TV show about someone who only ate raw meat.. or maybe i read it on the internet, maybe even on this forum

Hey there, ive been in a similar situation now for about 4 or 5 years, but i realise that although i love her being her best friend is so great its not worth risking that to try for more.Being a friend is better as you will always be there with her through everything and you will be the one she thinks of when she needs someone or when she laughs it will be you making her laugh.So my advice is to just be great friends, no-one can say what will happen in the future but for now be happy to be best friends.

Humm, i edit this as i realise youre talking about a specific entry not the entire topic, i do agree that people that change the point of the topic and quote an entire post should be warned, but i think two strikes is a bit harsh, sure using the warning system would be useful but i dont think banning them would be that useful

What exactly does this mean? does it mean you dont see the copyright agreement or that you can "disagree" with it and still install? Im thinking that if you can bypass it all together then technically you never saw nor agreed to this agreement and thus you can breech its terms? Which i imagine would be that you can legally copy it and such, an interesting idea! Am i right with this?

I have file extension shown for a couple of reasons, it makes file management easier, you can easily see what a files extension is and therefore where to put it etc..also i think it adds a bit of security, as a virus program could easily use the microsoft word document icon as its program icon and therefore look like a DOC file but when you open it its actually an EXE and youve just destroyed your computer.This was the way, i think, that an old email virus got around, it pretended to be a text file or something. Not sure of the details though.And it really makes renaming files easier, you can easily change a files type, for example trying to upload an image in an unacceptable filetype you can usually just change the extension and the website will accept it. Or when sending EXE's over msn you can change the file extension to .TXT and get your friend to change it back again Saves the effort of zipping it all.Though i agree if youre just renaming a files name, not its extension, it can be a bit problematic when you dont enter/forget the original filetype.

hi there, my only piece of advice is to try it, i had a friend who liked me but i didnt realise and i liked her and i missed the chance of a lifetime so dont be the same as me. Ask her out on a date, make it clear to hear you like her, if she doesnt like you then youve lost nothing, if she does then youve gained a lot. Im about to go out so thats all i can really say. Unfortunately i dont have or use Fireworks but what i would recommend is starting a topic asking for specific advice with fireworks as that way more people will see your message and reply to it. As for CSS its very useful and as said by many in this topic its something you should learn while learning web design, i have a couple links for you, the first is a google search for CSS tutorials: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=css+tutorial a good few links in that list And the second is a website which teaches you CSS, it has several examples, just click on the link you want to see, and you will see two boxes, the right one will be what the CSS makes the text look like and the left one will be the code used so you can change the code there and click the button to see what effect it has on the right box. Its a good place to experiment. the link is: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_examples.asp For an editor try http://www.mpsoftware.dk/phpdesigner.php its an all round editor but you can edit CSS code and it highlights the code and so makes it easier for you to see whats right and whats wrong. If you get stuck just search the internet for what youre looking for, EG if you wanted to change the text colour but didnt know what the code was you could search for "CSS set font colour" I hope that helps, good luck, you just have to stick to your dream of being a computer guru, if you have motivation it wont be to hard.

well i think the recommended sleeping time fr an average adult is 8 hours a day, so you should aim at more than that as you have a few years of growing left (Apparently).Im 18 and i usually sleep up to 11 or 12 hours a day, from midnight to midday, im really not a morning person, today i start work and ive had abut 6-7 hours sleep, i get up feeling slightly dizzy and think headed and now slightly sick, purely because i love my sleep, i liken it to a hangover when i dont have enough sleep. Bad times.I recommend modifying your sleeping pattern by exercising or tiring yourself out during the day and then going to bed early to watch a DVD or something, eventually you will sleep earlier and therefore be able to sleep longer, on a day where you dont need to get up try to get up early anyway, that way you'll be more tired by night time and to remedy tiredness during the day have a cup of tea or coffee in the morning and during the day if you need it.If you still cant sleep early then try some medicines, no tranquillizers but other calming products before bed.

I dont think there is a way as the browser and the server needs the file extension to know what to do with the page and if it had no extension it would most likely just send out the raw code to the users which isnt good!The only way i know of to get a url like the one you posted is to use an index file and a folder, eg setup a folder called, in this example, "blah" and inside that folder put an index.HTM/.PHP file or similar and usually all the user will see is http://lyrics.url.com/ blah i think....As for the URL you posted that is of course using PHP to take the "/blah" as a variable and somehow use that to show content. Only thing is the link you gave doesnt go to a website so i dont know if its a real life example or just a theoretical example

I got the idea from the link i posted on my first post and to create it i used the GIMP but any program capable of custom brushes {for the dark diagonal lines} Gradients and lines/boxes is perfect for something like this. Good times! I just replied to your message but for the benefit of the other people, anyone can use this design, i used a tutorial to make it and so i cant claim full ownership really, so as far as im concerned anyone can use this design and/or modify it in any way and you dont need to link to my site either. I used to think apple was a reasonable company in the electronics world, then the Ipod came out, massively overcharging anyone that bought it, but still i figured thats not so bad but then this.. Theyre getting near the MS level now, bad times. They obviously dont care about their consumers because evidently they have signed huge contracts with the two network providers in the US and UK and all theyre interested in is the money, which sadly seems to run this world nowadays. Ridiculous. Hopefully hackers find a way around this, which im sure they will, and then with any luck they fire a couple shots at Apple themselves. I also heard that innocent, unhacked phones are being affected with the update deleting contacts and images too, well done apple, you really thought that one out well huh? As a side not the "I" naming convention has gone a little wild, its a god damned phone with a few extras, drop the "I" already! And another sidenote, does anyone actually own one of these phones? Realizing that on ebay they are going for around Ł3OO which means in shops they could be a lot more, its just an insane amount of money to pay for a phone, if youre that hell bent on playing music get an mp3 player, lets say Ł1OO and then a phone, lets says another Ł1OO, a lot cheaper and you know you arent going to be restrained by money oriented organisations! Generally you have to wait till you get something like 4 credits and then wait a little untill the system does its rounds and realizes you have credits and then its put back, if youve got the amount of credits and youve been waiting a few hours then a mod will have to say more than i can but if you havent met these criteria then keep posting until you have and see what happens.Hope it gets resolved soon!

Ive never had this type of crash either and ive had over 1O tabs open at one time in the past when searching the net for info and pages, the only thing that does it cause it to hang is some JAVA and other multimedia items such as PDFs but it usually catches up again and runs normally but sometimes goes non-responsive in a small number of cases.

Im not sure how you upgrade but it doesnt happen automatically, there is a process to go through but i dont know it, i just know its not automatic Im not exactly sure what you mean but this might help, with the 3O credit package it works the same as the 1O credit package so when you reach zero credits your hosting is suspended and when you get above zero it comes back, you can go below 3O credits s long as you stay above zero, is that what you meant?
