  1. and that Buffalohelp is a power-hungry tyrant, bent on the destruction of free speech.

Very amusing! I have to say this was definitely a funny post, along with the fact you are obviously hiding behind this new username. And the fact Buff probably knows who you are anyway!

    I don't believe in God.

So, if Buffalohelp deletes this small sentence it either means he hasn't seen it (very unlikely because he's probably watching this topic like a hawk - Hawks are not evil mind you :P) or simply that you are wrong. Goodbye.

Thank you for this topic it truly was entertaining, that's what more of them should be like.

  2. Yeah they do. Its like Runescape. If you do something wrong, they call you a noob. I personally dont like it. They have no right to call you a noob, if they do that, they're just noobs themselves. Trying to bring themselves up by bringing other people down. Just because people have trouble doing something another person doesnt or they arent leveled up as much, doesnt give them thr right to call you a noob. So, yeah, just turn off the chat and play.

Very true, what I have also found is you get called a noob if you don't even play the game!!! that's right, you say runescape isn't really that great, I mean the graphics are aweful and it's simply full of little kids and botting chinese farmers, and you get noobed :P
I hear you're point about halo. I havn't played halo or halo2 nor did I enjoy the beta of Halo3 much at all! Those games are simply full of hardcore gamers.

The tip of a lifetime, find a Brand New game that has just been released that looks good and get it. Delve into it! That way you can get over veteran players who are tired of giving out tips.

  3. Well one day I am going to try these out...What I'll do:I'll register a credit card with some random bank and set up a new paypal account (with a name like Aiza Batty!!!), using my empty credit card. Then I shall try these out and see if they actually work. if I get the money, great! (quick transfer to real account and you're away) if not, well i know for sure it doesn't work and I can simply cancel the card :P

  4. Well the system crashing happens when you terminate explorer.exe, so that seems to be related...I have no idea why it opens another folder, but was it the "Data Execution Prevention" closing explorer.exe?if it was I have noticed it crash explorer on me for folders that contain .avi or movie files for some reason. I suggest do a virusscan then disable the service for explorer.exe (PM me I can tell you how if you need to!)

  5. Dude, I have an idea. I had a problem very similar to this. Although I'm not sure about the distortion thing...Check whether the images are .jpg or .JPG for each individual one (or .png or .PNG if those are the type you used). I know different programs save the extension differently, and so the link in you're page must be exact - capitals for the extension if needed. I made my page offline as well and everything worked, and like you it didn't online until I found this. You can check whether the extensions are like this for each individual photo using the "file manager" in cpanel.James

  6. Hmm you make the point everyone would probably come up with, and it's a good one...Here comes my turnaround... :P But the fact is many of the groups on flickr have 10,000+ photos in them. The point would be the photos would be spotted as they come in so they're in most recent order. And I don't think every member would upload 10 pictures, or at least all in one day or possibly week. It would be spread out... so people would get a good look. The group will be open if anyone wants to join!

  7. Well almost two days ago I stumbled across Flickr and decided that since I've seen it before and I had the time, I would join. Y'know what? It's great! Note Flickr relies on a yahoo account! if you already have a yahoo email, thats great! all you'll have to do is choose a username and your'e away.. if not it's still pretty easy (contrary to popular opinion :P)

This made me remember the Xisto effort on a Myspace & Orkut that never really took off.

Well I think the trap, instead of just being a forum with loads of writing, could really benefit from having a photo pool and discussions around that where people can put up anything they like, pics from a party, trip, cool things they've found or just decent pics and from there the group would take off :P

    https://www.flickr.com/browser/upgrade/?continue=%2Fgroups%2Ftrap%2F%3Frb%3D1

Currently it's an open invite group, so you're free to just make a flickr account (free) and then just go there and join the group.

*Moderators on this forum are trustworthy, and hence would be granted moderator rights in the flickr trap group!

    Thanks... Let's get it going!

  8. Here is another fine example of what NOT to do on a web space

    https://myspace.com/browser

It'll take a minute to get the full effect. Dial-up users be warned.

    OMG Jim, that is shocking!

But essentially, it's the myspace standard!!!

If you're epileptic watch out mouse over on the HUGE links flickers, along with pretty much everything else on that page :P

  9. hey i have made a cs 1.6 server bt when i connect to this server.....it gives error invalid cd key if any one knos how to resolve this error plz post an fast...

er yeah, are you using a "borrowed" copy of counter strike? or one that maybe someone has installed on their comp somewhere else? For example, it might be a second hand copy or "illegal" download or a friends copy that you thought it'd be okay to "share"?

Basically you will have to buy another copy of the game. It's only like Ł5 now, so I say just go over to amazon and order it now. If of course you decide it's worth it. Your computer might not be up to hosting very well anyway. You'll get a far better performance just playing with friends on someone else's server...

  10. Hmm well I checked and my IP does change on router refresh. I've changed both the external (ISP) IP address and also my internal (Network) IP and still the problem persists. I also clear cache and cookies as a matter of practise so I really have no idea what to do :P** MY SITE NOW WORKS. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN... BUT AT LEAST IT DOES! THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HELP**

  11. it could be your ISP, what I recommend is go to a proxy site like this one and see if it shows up. If your website shows up in the proxy then you could have IP problems in which I would suggest getting a hold of tech support and see if your ip is listed for that site. Like jlhaslip I can see the website too so it could be on your end.

yes, as I said it works fine in proxy sites... Now I'm pretty sure it's only on my end as you guys can see it alright...

Which tech support do you mean SM? As the site is my own, it's not as if I have listed my own I.P. Address and banned it!!!

How would I go about changing my own I.P. address from my computer? (windows)

  12. As far as I know this problem has been on me for one, maybe two weeks now. When i try to access my site all I get is a completely blank page. The source code also shows a completely blank page. I would provide a screenshot, but there's nothing there to see!!!!!!! Bear in mind it's not a timeout error, and the title bar, instead of showing the real "page title" and favicon, just shows my site's address. This problem is the same in both IE & FF.

I CAN login to the administration area for my site with /administrator/ on the end, and that works, along with the other domain hosted with my account.

And probably the most useful bit of information is that I can access my site okay using an Anonymous Proxy.

I believe there has been a topic like this before with the same problem, where the guy said changing his ip address solved it. I have tried to do this but it still gives me the blank page. I'm not sure if it is my IP address, but if someone would be able to give instructions on how to properly change it (I'm using a router to access broadband) I'd appreciate it.

  13. I don't want to step into this thread because I will probably just be struck down, but from you're first post you stated the usual "women are better at multitasking than men"Well yes, it's a well known topic, but no, it's not true. Most people will know how wrong this is. Both sexes can multitask as good as the other, it really depends on the person in question's mindset and their way of going about different tasks. (certainly not gender specific)But in regard to the overrall question, at least our generation won't be equal, but the fact is both sexes are just as good at specific things as the other, some of those things are more important, and some less so. But still, it's life so instead of making a fantasy just work around it and make the best of the things you are good at.

  14. If I remember rightly, one of these apparent problems actually lies with Internet explorer.A hacker can use a flaw in internet explorer 6 or 7 to actually start up firefox and load something. Now this has been patched by Mozilla FireFox, but microsoft announced they have no intention of fixing the flaw. Of course, this flaw also means IE --> other browsers also poses the same threat. Therefore it seems stupid that Microsoft refuse to fix this and just use a "well if you'rs isn't secure enough why should we make ours secure policy". Shame on Internet Explorer!!!

  15. As a word of warning to people, I'd be VERY careful about rootkit programs or searches looking for programs claiming to be related to them. I'm not sure how trustworty any download links are for programs I don't know about...Since rootkits are so widespread (Sony BMG disc anyone?) most decent virusscanners nowadays have this sort of protection to search and find them. Check if you really need this!

  16. the scene is that i formatted ONLy my C: ...leaving the D;,E:,F:,G; and H: untouched...too much data to lose...i suspect that the infection spread thrrough that.....any other suggestions other than reinstalling the OS...coz thats kinda outta question now....

ah now we have a bit more info. Multiple drives definitely complicate the situation! Although there is a high chance the virus only targets the operating system (and therefore that drive only) - I've had a couple like this and they did certainly ignore my other drives...

I suggest using you're new virusscanner to clean or find&delete any infected files on the other drives, THEN re-install the OS. Sorry, but that seems like a good way of ensuring it's all gone
