  1. According to Google maps, its the country on the east of India. Here's an image to help you slay
  2. I completely agree! The "Xmen 3 :The Last Stand" movie was a disappointment because people were expecting more from the movie due to its awesome prequels (Xmen 1 and Xmen 2) By the way, did anyone wait until the credits were done? There was a clip after the creadits that showed how Professor Charles Xavier comes back to life after you-know-who kills him (sorry for spoiling it for all people who are going to watch this movie ). This could mean that there is yet another sequel to the Xmen Series! Another movie that I am eagerly anticipating is: "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest". The first movie (Pirates of the Caribbean: The Black Pearl) was an excellent movie, probably due to Johnny Depp's great acting !
  3. LOL. like albus said, you're sigs are very good even without considering the fact that you use Photoshop 5/6!Nice work, keep it up.
  4. Nice sig in Flash, but GIF isnt all that "crappy"! You're GIF sigs look better than the flash. And BTW, the mouseover for quote did not work in the flash sig.
  5. I'm going to watch the Break-up (Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston) because of all the positive reviews and the media hype around it. And this weekend I'm going to watch Cars (from Pixar/Walt Disney). Cars seems like a 'different' kind of animation movie from what I've read in the Fortune Magazine.Other than that... no more movies... not enough time to watch them, exams are coming up
  6. Actually, you cannot do much to the network with access to Task Manager, due to other permissions in the Windows OS. Accessing the Task Manager is not a very seroius issue because if you end some processes you can only affect the PC that you are using and not other PC's on the network. This is not a serious issue that Microsoft should be worried about because access to the Task Manager poses minimal risk to a network, rather its the processes that you run that will affect a network. By default, the permissions of the PC before anyone logs in are set to minimum (In your case the level of a student). A person cannot have total rights over the network without logging in as an admin. This could also serve as a debug tool for admins, tech-support staff if the particular system is having problems logging in to the network. I'm sure he's reading the! Xisto forums
  7. Thats some great information imacul8! Great work/research . I've been looking for something like this, but the only issue is bandwidth! Streaming live video onto a website takes up a LOT of bandwidth and users looking to use this should be aware that they might run out of bandwidth real soon if using shared hostinf accounts. Also, imacul8, please note that you have to paste you code in code tags! so it would appear like this: Code goes here The mods might issue a warning for this, so watch out
  8. Wow! I was really impressed by the site design. Looked really nice and the glossy effect added to the look :rolleyes:Great website design.
  9. First of all, your problem is exactly what Moolkye said. The path to the root directory ca be found after you login to your cPanel on Xisto. In the cPanel, in the left-hand column, you will see a box that says 'General server information'. Under this, you will find your 'Root Directory', which is usually in the form of 'home/cPanelUsername/'I reccommend Joomla instead of Mambo because they are the same software, but Joomla! is frequently updated and is the NEW Mambo!Hope this helps!-Paul
  10. Your friend was absolutely right . Xisto is a great place to get free webhosting while enjoying yourself on the forums! Hope you have fun during your stay at Xisto .
  11. I made a tabbed browser for my tech class using VB.net 2003. Its was really easy, considering the fact that there is not much coding to do. All I had to do was add the Web browser control and use the commands associated with it on different objects (like images, labels and buttons)I created a browser, where the browser uses IE, but it visits the sites through a proxy automatically (because in my school the internet optoins were blocked for IE).For those with concerns about security, this is not a DIFFERENT browser like firefox! Its just a nicer version of Internet Explorer that is more Google oriented .Nice job!
  12. I have a question for the users: How long does it take to make, say, $30 (snitch) or $80 (wfcommunity)?
  13. I agree! It is very important to have a reliable merchant account (Credit-card processor). This is important for both the buyer and the seller. Some buyers don't buy online products just because they do not trust the processor or due to a bad experience with a payment processor. It is imperative that a business has more than one credit card processor for two main reasons: 1. To ensure that there is a backup processor in case one fails, and 2. To ensure that the buyer's reason for not buying is not the credit-card processors issues. If you are a seller of digital products, it is important to have a dependable ecommerce system that can deliver the product with maximum efficiency and minimum manpower. Customers begin to worry if they do not receive digital products immediately! From personal experience, I think that PayPal is a good payment processor, merchant account and ecommerce system. Although there have been a lot of controversy surrounding PayPal (from sites like http://www.paypalsucks.com/), I've never had ANY problems with PayPal and I would recommend PayPal 100% to anyone . There are also other alternatives like e-Gold, StormPay, 2Checkout and ClickBank that offer similar services, but PayPal seems to be the most used and trusted (probably due to eBay's influence )
  14. Although I agree that web professionals should contribute to the web world, I do not agree that they should do this by giving out free web templates. Creating a template takes time and hard work! Its like saying Wal-Mart has to contribute to society by giving away free stuff! Web professionals can help by creating tutorials on how to create websites and/or writing informative blogs and articles for other to learn from. I think that it will be much better if each person who wants a good looking website takes the time to read the extensive tutorials available and to create their own great-looking designs. This will also give the maker of the site some personal satisfaction . I myself started out using other templates, but soon realized that its not as satisfying .
  15. I'm not into sig desiging but at the first look these sigs looked pretty nice! .Although the text doesn't look very attractive in the first sig (the curve effect just doesn't play well :rolleyes:Other than that, I liked the sigs

  17. Welcome to the forums, Sharif. Hope you enjoy the Xisto forums, learn from it and get some free hosting
  18. Yea, The new Microsoft Office 2007, Beta2 takes up more RAM than its predecessors due to the new range of graphics and effects that have been introduced.Although, I must say, that other than changing the layout, I haven't noticed many changes. The core is still the same . They just changed the toolbars (except Outlook) and they changed the graphics.
  19. As it is commonly known, from a SEO point of view, META tags have either little or no influence on the major Search Engines’ SERPS (Search Engine Result Pages). However, the content of the meta-description tags are the information that major search engines (like Yahoo, Google and MSN) display when the search algorithm decides not to display snippets of the text near and around the keywords requested by the user.
  20. First of all, There is already a thread about this. And secondly, The Pirate Bay is back. They are just updating their search functionality, etc. but they haven't been stopped, and they probably won't be stopped for a couple of years or even decades! These guys have made it to the news and stuff, but no ones able to do anything.
  21. I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 2 and it comes with PhotoShopCS2, so i use that.Even, if you buy Photoshop CS2 by itself, it costs only US $649 which is worth the features it offers! You can buy this software, use it to create a site for a client and get your money back! Thats how I funded my CreativeSuite purchase
  22. Yes, I agree with you! The template/site design seems cluttered. Although, the site's main objective is for SEO, I think a new design and template would make it more appealing to the users! Is it time for a Xisto template design contest??
  23. Yea, I figured out the trick behind the brainteaser... although, if only I could interpret the name earlier, I would've save myself so much time Nice game!
  24. Wow. This is a great tutorial. I'm sure this will benefit a lot of people in the GFXTrap forum.I have one comment though, the rain will look better if its a LITTLE slower and if the rain falls in a straight line.
  25. Have you checked the data for the search term 'niche list'? Although, the number of results are quite high, the searches are not. Overture doesn't even have data for this keyword! It's pretty amazing how your site went up so fast in only about two weeks! NICE SEO WORK i guess
