  1. Windows Vista: The Betas are ready! I just received an email from Microsoft formally releasing the new Windows Vista Beta 2. Windows Vista Beta 2 is now available for download and registration (REQUIRED) at: http://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/en/default.aspx This is the second BETA release even after Microsoft has prolonged the release of Vista. I just began to download my copy of Windows Vista and it is a whopping 3200MB. Before you download the Vista, make sure your system can support Windows Vista by visiting the Windows Vista GetReady Page NOTE: You might have to wait to get your copy because of the high download volumes. If you are unable to download Vista the first time you try, wait for a few minutes and try again! The download comes in the form of an ISO image of a DVD. You'll need a CD burner to install Windows Vista onto your system! (Virtual Mounting Software will not work for this!) The system requirements for Windows Vista are: To learn more about Microsoft's latest Operating System -- Windows Vista, visit http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Regards, Paul
  2. Yes I am pretty sure I am 15... (until this November 4th atleast ) The ONLY thing I can do is create websites/templates... I cant create sigs, its just not my thing

  4. Ahhhh.. You need a separate adapter to use these ports. The adapter will convert your XboX or DVD player into RGB HD. The adapter you want would be something like this: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Regards, Paul
  5. Why don't you try to take a photo of what you are talking about or make a simple diagram in paint or something like that.. the reason why we aren't able to give you a proper solution is because we are unable to comprehend the problem/situation visually. Sorry, maybe we're not as smart as you think
  6. I think that the idea of an *invitation only* BETA product intrigues people to try the product and once they are accepted/invited, the user feels that Google values them for letting them test the software. Also, without ANY advertising, Google was able to generate enough media hype about its new service. So, I think that the whole invitation only idea is a marketing gimmick that Google is using to get FREE media attention and publicity.Until mayank pointed out that Gmail has been in BETA status for TWO years, I did not realize this!I think that Gmail is pretty well developed to be established into a STABLE version, but again, I think Google is using marketing tricks to keep people coming. You might have noticed how almost EVERY forum had a thread about Gmail invites, this just seems like a subliminal marketing gimmick to me -Paul
  7. Wow! The site takes forver to load . You should really look into the problem (whether its your high-definition graphics or the problem with your host!). Also, the forums link does not work, I'm assuming you haven't installed them yet . Anyways, on the BRIGHT side (yea, there's usually one ) the design looks very creative and hi-tech. So the site design is good in terms of looks
  8. I am not really excited because I'm not a Halo fan (I dont really like first person shooting games ;()Its going to be just like Halo2 with new weapons and maps.. other than that I don't think there will be too may changes made!
  9. My current homepage is NetVibes! It was an idea started in France and it is one of the latest personalized homepages. this idea has already been developed by Microsoft (Start) and Google?s personal homepage. Netvibes is powered by AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML). Its also takes a little longer time to load because of the extensive application code
  10. I think what you are looking for is an addon domain . As long as you are not using dynamic pages (like PHP) with MySQL, you can just move the contents from one folder to another! So, *IMPORTANT MAKE A BACKUP using the BACKUP feature in your cPanel (Backup is under 'Site Management Tools') 1. Login to your Xisto cPanel, 2. Click on "addon domains" under the "Site Management Tools" box. 3. In the 'New Domain Name:' box, enter the domain name (ojproductions.net) 4. Just click on the "UserName/SubDomain Name:" box 5. The cPanel will automatically enter the name: "ojproductions-net" 6. In the "Password" box, enter the password for this subdomain. 7. Click on the 'Add' button 8. Then you will see something similar to: 9. Access your original Xisto account (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) throught FTP. 10. Copy/Move the files from your original site into the ojproductions-net folder NOW Go to objproductions.net and enjoy Hope this helps! (REMEMBER TO MAKE A BACKUP)
  11. Wow, this a very useful script. This is a great idea. I think that Google should do this by default, show the Firefox referral to browsers other than Firefox! Thanks.

  18. I have a Dell 2005FPW (20.1" widescreen) and I can plugin all kinds of Video devices. So I'm assuming you have something similar. To connect your XboX you should have something like this on your monitor: If you have that, then you can plugin your XboX. If this is not what you are talking about, please upload an image so that people can see what ports you are talking about.
  19. Hmmm.. did the phpBB work fine on the old host without mod auto_cookies? or did you have auto_cookies in your previous installation of phpBB?
  20. right after I made this post, I received my Google Spreadsheets invitation . I only applied around 10 minutes before starting this thread! Although, the application is pretty good, it has its limits. I wouldn't let me open my school homework (about 20 sheets in one workbook).Definitely seems like an attempt to start its anti-microsoft products
  21. I think that an easier alternative is going into your old phpMyAdmin, exporting ALL THE SQL and then execute the exported commands in you NEW phpMyAdmin. This will recreate the whole database again and I think that there will be no errors, although I am not to sure. Before you try this make sure you create a backup of your hosting account (using cPanel).I've used this method before to migrate many Joomla! and Mambo sites, and there were know errors even though Joomla/Mambo is a more intricate system compared to phpBB so I think this is a fast and efficient way to do it :rolleyes:Hope this helps :lol:Regards,Paul
  22. Wow mayank, you have access to Google Spreadsheets! That's so cool . When were you aware of the release? I guess it was way earlier than today .
  23. I usually sleep around 8-10 hours a day (Weekends & Weekdays). I make sure that I get good sleep because its really hard to concentrate in school if I get any less than 8 hours of sleep a day. @mberlust: Do you still feel refreshed with 5-6 hours of sleep a day or is it that you cant sleep but you need it?
  24. People are going crazy with blog posts and news reports about Google?s latest punch to Microsoft. In direct competition to Microsoft Excel, Google has launched a simple web based spreadsheet software. Some headlines about the new release included: Microsoft itself, has been having some issues including the delay of the its new Operating system: Windows Vista. Google Spreadsheets seems to offer an interface based on its other products like Gmail or Adsense. The interface is very similar to Gmail and has the typical Google design. Here?s a screenshot of Google spreadsheet: Google Spreadsheets offers the same features as Excel except, it makes it easier to share this spreadsheet! You can use current formats of spreadsheets such as CSV and XLS. There also appears to be a formula link at the top of the page, which means that it is capable of advanced functions too. Google Spreadsheets offers a tabbed interface that allows easy-switching between different features and worksheets. The unique part of this release is Google makes use of its web based Google Talk chat system to allow the user to invite other people to view the spreadsheet and chat with them in real-time as seen in this screen shot: Google Spreadsheets supports the common browsers IE6+ and Firefox 1.0.7 and up on most Operating Systems (Windows, MAC, Linux). Browser based access and storage allows the user to save files on the Google servers and access the file from other computers! Experts suggest that this real-time sharing feature could be a sign that Google is aiming for corporate products that will enable businesses to update and maintain spreadsheets with multiple people viewing and correcting it in real time. Although, this could just be the beginning of a suite of Google products that mimic the applications within Microsoft Office. I?m looking forward to using this new service but I think that without advanced features like macros and pivot tables, Google Spreadsheets is no match for the mighty Excel.
  25. You picked a very nice template for the site . Although I suggest that you change the logo!
