1. Ipods are by far the best ! They have a great sound quality, the smaller models, well... they are really small... and the only problems with them is that you might lose it just like you will lose a slighty bigger pack of gum or a cigar lighter ! The bigger models... well... they have a BIG capacity !I don't know if the 20Gb is worth it because before you will listen to all of the mp3's you will probably break it, or grow white hair or get arrested or... well.. you got the point ! The have a great audio quality, the materials are excellent, and a great capacity ! Just like anything else made by Apple... JUST GREAT !

I couldn't agree with you more. I absolutely LOVE iPods.

Although, I don't reccommend you get an iPod nano, I've heard so much about them breaking, or scratching easily, or snapping in half inside people's pockets.

I've got a 20GB colour iPod, and it's great for me. I really need to get some more songs though... I've hardly reached 1GB of music yet!

  2. I know of http://www.saybox.com/.

I'm not sure if that is what you mean by "customisable" but you can choose from a variety of colours to match your website.

    Hope that helped!

Errrmmmmmm... That doesn't seem to work.

I can't help, but I'd be quite interested in a shoutbox, especially one that could be hosted ourselves, not by some outside service.

Alos, I know it's a bit off topic, but I've seen quite a few PHP Nuke sites with shoutboxes as blocks, but I haven't been able to find where they get them from. Does anyone have an idea as to where I could find them?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. Google Earth is godly, on some areas you can into large building using the 3D option...try exploring Vegas & NY to use this at its best.

Yeah, but we're talking about Google Maps, not Google Earth.

I quite like Google Earth, but the 3D buildings are just dull and grey, I think it would be better if they had some sort of texture to them. And the buildings are only for US cities, no where else.

What I like though is the 3D landscape. Try visiting the Grand Canyon in Google Earth, and it's amazing!

  4. I don't use Skype but I don't know how Skype can be such a good program / software. I have used it before but didn't find it to my liking. Well, that's because I didn't have a microphone and I don't have faraway friends. I could just use the phone!! Simple as that.

But can someone tell me how Skype makes money? What about Ebay? Where does all their money come from? I mean, it doesn't just appear!! The most interesting thing is Skype. I never ever saw their advertisements (if they had any) and if they did, where are they?

    1064322677

Skype make their money by charging people who call phone numbers. You can phone other Skype members for free, but you have to pay to call a phone line. Skype is popular, because the rates it charges are generally cheaper than the standard rates offered by phone companies.

Also, people can pay a monthly subscription fee (or something like that) and get thier own phone number, in a country of thier choice, for example, someone with Skype could buy a London phone number, and even if htey were to go abroad, thier friends could call then on thier laptop, for the cost of a phonecall to London.

eBay don't charge for people to list thier items, but they charge if you want them to host your auction images for you, they charge to make your listings bold, highlighted, and other things which are supposedly to mkae it more noticeable by potential buyers.

And because eBay have brought PayPal, they get money from PayPal's fees.

    Hope this helps

  5. Word of advice: wait till the 2nd generation Nano's come out.

1st Generation Apple Products generally always have issues.  As a big fan of Apple products, I've found it best to wait about 6 months before getting anything new.  Any problems will generally be reported and fixed by then.

I'd recommend that too. I've heard so much about iPod nano screen's breaking, and apparently, iPod nanos scratch really easily. They're too fragile. There are quite a few news articles about it - try doing a Google News search for "iPod nano scratch" and you'll see what I mean. You could try having a look at http://nanoscratch.com/

I've heard that Brasso can be quite good at getting rid of scratches, but I don't know how this works.

  6. Wasn't there one a while ago with a fake "This page cannot be displayed" message? If memory serves, I think it came up when you typed in Weapons of Mass Destruction.Everyone was saying that Google had been hacked to make that come up whenever you typed a cerain thing in and presses I'm Feeling Lucky, but it was just at the top of the search results.

  7. It shows that firefox is just not saft enough.

    1064323246

    How can you say that?

Firefox has hardly a fraction of the security flaws of Internet Explorer. Yes, as it becomes more popular, more people are going to find flaws in it, but I think it is much better than the competition regardless.

With Internet Explorer, they find a new security flaw in it nearly everyday.

  8. Um, did you use a translator to translate this to English? I cannot understand what you are saying...

I'm guessing that they made a ball that can tell whether it went out-of-bounds or not? Is that correct?

    1064322797

I think he's just copied and pasted part of it from an article, but he obviously missed out the crucial bit that tell syou about the ball, how it works and so on.

If I find some information about this new "intelligent" football, I'll post it later.

  9. Well said. I'm not mad about Office to be honest, I've never been too mad about Microsoft Office, sure you can insert fancy WordArt and stuff, but I like OpenOffice much more. For one thing, OpenOffice is free! Also, Microsoft seem to be obsessed with making thier products look better than actually working better, or adding more features. The current version of Office has fancy gradients and new toolbar images, but that seems to be it!

  10. I can't stand Runescape, it's horrible. In my opinion, it's the biggest waste of time ever. And, if you actually want to get anything good out of it, you have to pay for it.I really can't stand it. I don't wanna bore you and go into details as to why, but I just can't stand it.All it is is walking around in a pathetic Java world, and chatting to a load of losers.

  11. Hey,

You guys don't feel so bad, I have 16.02, and it is showing my account as suspended, and has been for twelve hours....

Just please be patient, and all things shall be worked out....

    1064322683

I had negative 10 credits earlier, after going on holiday... and my account wasn't suspended!

Also, at the moment, I think my credits are going down at a slower rate than one a day. The hosting is fine, my site is up and working perfectly, but it seems that the forums are playing up.

Oh well, hopefully it will all be better soon B)

  12. You can still see your hosting credits if you change to another forum skin. I'm using it at the moment (and have been for a while), this other skin looks a lot better than the default one, and it all works properly which is a definate bonus! To activate it, follow these instructions: - Make sure you are logged in (otherwise the skin change might not work) - On your keyboard, hit the "end" key, or scroll down to the bottom of the page.Towards the left of the screen, you should see two list boxes inside a blue bar. One should read "Lite" and the other "English". - Click the "Lite" box, and change it to "ambience". - The skin shoudl now change. It will stay like this, whenever you log in, until you change it back.Hope you find this helpful :-)

  13. No, you have only 150MB of disk space.  The disk usage function on cPanel has a bug in it that from time to time shows the incorrect disk space allocation numbers.

cPanel is an account managemnet script that is widely used by internet hosting providers.  Gennerally considered to be a very good management system, it does have a few minor bugs.

Additionally, cPanel does not check actual usage and allocation very frequently.  Its actaully refreshed somewhere between 24 and 48 hours.  The statistics are not refreshed in real-time because of the burden it would place on the server.  If the usage and allocation were checked every hour, with all of the hosting accounts we have here, the server would simply be too busy refreshing quota information to serve web pages.  We assume that you prefer to have your website served instead of up to the minute information about your account.

I recommend that you maintain a disk usage below your allocated amount.  If you are over when the statistics are updated, you'll be warned about exceeding your disk quota.  If you continually abuse your disk quota, you account may be suspended.

Hope this clears things up. ;)

How do I know how much space I've used up now?

Rather than saying xMB/Unlimited or whatever, it simply says "Unlimited Space" so I have no idea how much space I've used.

I've tried the Disk Usage Viewer (next to the File Manager, under Site Management Tools), but it just shows the amount each folder uses, not the total. Any ideas?

Also, when will this bug revert to normal? Will I be stuck being told I have unlimited space forever, or will it eventually go back to showing the correct amount?

  14. I've just logged into cPanel to find that I've got unlimited space. Has there been a major upgrade or something? I'm only meant to have 150MB.I couldn't find any news about it or anything, so I was just wondering if this is a mistake.I'm gonna kick myself for turning down unlimited space, but oh well...BTW, for some reason, my bandwidth is the same though.

  15. DVDs are just like high-capacity CDs.All DVDs must have a filesystem, and can store anything. The V does stand for Versatile (contrary to the popular belief that it stands for Video).Because of DVD's large amount of storage space, they were great for storing large movies and films, to the point that now everybody seems to think that DVDs are just for films.
