Oooh the banner idea sounds pretty easy. Yeah, I'm trying to make it viewer friendly :DAnd the download thing I haven't put up yet because I want to make sure the page is error free before I zip it and put it up there. But I went ahead and put text in that area so I could just replace it with my download button later :)XHTML is just revamping html. It's a simple procedure. Your image tags must close themselves by putting a /> at the end instead of a >. Same for break tags. Just a bunch of organizational issues within the code and things like that. I don't have too much of a grasp on XHTML but I use what little I know

It makes me good inside to feel liberal.Also, your spelling has me running around in circles trying to figure out what you're saying. It's not to difficult to spout out proper grammar and spelling is it? (I'm not trying to be mean, I just find it difficult to read and that aggravates me. Spelling on the internet has taken a turn for the worse in the last few years)

I created this monstrosity after having a funky dream about it. Apparently, my brother had to come calm me down because I was yelling "THE FORMS AREN'T WORKING" in my sleep. Nerdy dreams rock Anyways, I started with the header image and then naturally I did the nav-bar, then the background, and then the footer. I've never used backgrounds like the content div has before, but I wanted to try them. I think it looks all right. But my pride and joy is the header. While it may look a little big, I've never had a big header on any of my sites before and I wanted to experiment. Cragllo wanted a few people to send him templates and whatever so I thought this would be a nice start - I have a few more planned including some more techy ones since you guys love those And it does in fact validate for once which is truly tres bien. Comment/rate/shred/bring me a couple of donuts - this took all night

So far, I have the highest package you can get and I don't know how much of it I'll be able to use. But it's more than enough. My site is rarely visited so all that bandwidth is just laying to waste. It's sad :DBut when I put my new template up and start making more graphics for cragllo, things might work better :)And yeah, that host = a dead host or a purely exhausted server. Gawsh, that would be a monster of a site, but would you ever use that much of anything? Sure the extra scripts would be nice, but I've barely touched any of the other ones - time to go rummage!

My name is Ranjani and I find it annoying that none of the online name-definer dealies actually tell me what my name means. What ends up happening is I go and submit it, get e-mails back, correct names, and then I never visit that site again. But back to the story.Ranjani means "bringer of happiness" or "entertainer". You'd think that my mom chose a horrible name for me if you've ever seen us argue (which occurs at least on a daily basis). I admit I whine, I fuss, I sulk, I scream without reason sometimes when I'm upset because my mom has this weird tendency of thinking that I'm always lying to her. It must be an Indian thing.My parents are both immigrants from India so I'm a first generation American. I can't cook Indian food aside from the fried stuff, and I'm trying to learn to write and read my language from my brother (who takes college courses on it). They're from a place called Karnataka (the biggest state in India) and within it, from two nearby cities, Bangalore and Mysore. The languages of that area are Tamil and Kannada (more of a regional language than anything else). I'm told my name is actually Sanskrit, but it could be Tamil as well.

Nah, this one's a different myth relating to the beginning of the earth. While there are a lot of "flood" legends, I know that floods are common in India and usually do such widespread damage as well as spreading disease and whatnot. I remember now that one of Vishnu's avatars was a giant horned fish. He pulled a boat with sages across the water to a new land because one of the sages saved his life. The boat may have had some small animals, but it was mainly the sages and their families. However the flood occurs so many times within Vishnu's avatars that I guess it's just a reference to how common floods really are.About the selected folktales - they're exclusive to region only, and as each region has its own way of practicing religion and telling stories, I think we should stick more to the Bhoomi Devi and the sages.I believe that we will have to live through a fallout, perhaps within our lifetime, and Nasa may make provisions to send up satellites or whatever to save those who are left. I still don't believe reincarnation would be a bad thing. Just because you may not know what happened in your past life doesn't mean that you won't be able to fix it unconsciously. It could be one act of charity, one kind word, or the pursuit of knowledge - essentially something you didn't do before in enough quantity and that you have the ability to do now. If we do have souls, such feelings would be locked up within them and when the soul moves to a different body (the Bhagavad Gita says that the soul of a dying person will leave and enter the body of a newborn), it could retain those memories. If not, there are always psychologists.

Well, I do know of one of our myths that dates back a while (before Christianity or Judaism, basically). Basically, the earth is just submerged in water, meaning it's bobbing around on water. Bhoomi Devi, who represents the earth is saved by Vishnu who turns into a boar form and fights a demon while trying to rescue her. Once she's safely afloat, she does something...I lost this particular comic. It's not really the same, but it does have a lot of water. The thing about the priest is interesting, but what mortal really knows? Near-death experiences are not conclusive pieces of evidence because they're usually extremely inaccurate. The whole migration/regression thing I've been thinking about reminds me a lot of things like Swiss Family Robinson and other spoofs, Lost in Space, mostly. That would be an interesting future and it's very likely we'll have to move to another planet sooner or later - probably for research purposes.

Because I'd take up a few acres and have nifty flooring, a pink or yellow outside, shutters, pretty gardens, and I'd eat children and regurgitate them into a maze of shrubbery and have them fight their way out.I've seen a few underground houses. They're pretty nifty. The air supply should be fine. A lot of them are renovated vaults and things which makes them even cooler. You should have the upper rooms with large windows to make up for the lack of light underground. Just simple things like that

PHP isn't a language all on its own - it's used for the powerful stuff. You'll need to validate your site as well. Use CSS a bit more and eliminate the need for tables and for the align="" element. I validated it here for you but it has a lot of errors including the fact that you have no doctype to declare what type of document it is :/ I would take out the frames entirely and just type within your sections. Either that or create div layers within the sections and put your content into that. It works a lot better than having tables upon tables everywhere. Also, your links would be easier to designate from your text if you had them underline or something on rollover - better yet if they had a different color on rollover. I'm sure you're going to make graphics to stick in the site before you're done, but a wet girl in a bikini? Ugh, horrible taste. I would suggest a bunny, but it's really up to you, Luki. Hey hey! I loved Windwaker. It was different because it was set 500 years after the previous Zeldas. Twilight Princess should be before Majora's Mask, if I'm right. Not sure about that though :/ Also, I think Nintendo did a great job with the coloring. It was different, it was cute, the game was great, and the gameplay was entertaining. The storyline was also cute!Both ChuChu Rocket (which has the best theme song EVER) and Crazy Taxi are goofy games which I enjoyed a lot. Not long term, of course, but they're great for spurts.The worst game I've ever played...ergh...I've never had a game I didn't like too much. This one part in Super Mario Sunshine annoyed me because I couldn't find that last blue coin but I loved the rest of the gameplay. But yeah, Nintendo (Shiggy mainly) is my honey-bunny. <3 <3

Perhaps this is because I don't have a copy of and Hindu scriptures to read. I have a wealth of folktales and religious books about certain topics but I can't translate the original sanskrit, tamil, or kannada into english for myself. Being a 1st generation American, I don't have the privilege of being able to write/read my mother tongue, even though I can speak it. If the events of the flood happened perhaps...4,000 years ago (clarify that date for me), why is there evidence of people before the flood and even after the flood? Why do none of the other religions mention a flood if it did happen in history, as you claim. Or at least, in religious history. Wouldn't any of this be noted among other religions as happening?The holy spirit/holy ghost are not technically "ghosts" because being part of the trinity, they are manifestations of a Christian god. True ghosts, as I believe they are, are detached spirits. The paranormal is perfectly possible if you look at photographic and audio-taped evidence. Some of it is bogus as people equate finding a "ghost sound" with the sounds of say, Bigfoot, or whatever. About your "once they're saved, they're saved for good" part: would that mean that all the reported ghost sightings are actually not Christians then? What if there is some form of distended reality where these spirits walk?About your so called sins - who hasn't coveted something? Who hasn't said "I wish I had [insert object here]!" at least once? A white lie is still a lie, even if it's the tiniest untruth. Would it really help us to be purged every now and then? Sometimes the people who commit sins are the ones that make our world interesting. I for one wouldn't want to be surrounded by ultra-religious people and small children for the rest of my life. There has to be something more, which is why I believe in second chances.Reincarnation would allow you to say...simulate life again. You get to be born a different way, live a different way, perhaps have reminescences of your past life. I wouldn't think of it as a punishment. A lot of people like living a normal life without fear of being punished, being told to believe something, or basing their lives on the laws of an ancient civilization. I detest people who can't accept gender differences because of religion, social, or political aspects. I'm all against homophobia for those reasons. There's nothing immoral about being homosexual - they're the same people that they were before they chose to change their life around. I feel so sorry for a few of my friends because of the prejudice they go through at school because of society's harsh laws.

There's more than enough scripture up there to back up whatever has been said. It's just going back and forth. The origin of humans is very vague, but so much evidence connects them to primates that it has been accepted as fact, and a fact I readily believe. The thought of having another being out there controlling your life, and telling you how to live it through a religion is bogus to me. I'm not an all out believer of Hinduism, but I do respect its boundaries and attend services, and whatever I need to to feel I'm contributing to my religion. What I do not respect is that mankind has always had boundaries set by other men or people not even of this earth, in the Christian scenario. When has a god ever given you a raise, or made your lunch? When has a god ever paid your bills or informed you personally that you are, in fact, his or her child? And how can those be accounted for?If we're talking about life after death, we have to believe in the paranormal, and the existence of something truly ethereal within ourselves. There have been sightings and stories of ghosts and there have been instances where it could be no other form of creature. Ghosts are essentially left behind spirits, stuck in limbo until they can finish a deed, which is roughly like a pseudo-reincarnation, except part of you doesn't go anywhere. If your business is done, you go on to wherever you go to. It doesn't matter if you've sinned or not - it could have been a mistake, a problem in your childhood, something you could not prevent that could be called "a sin" (and I think the Christian religion is a bit too strict on what are sins and what aren't sins). If because of these "sins", you're damned to hell, regardless of your faith, what's the point? Believers in Christianity and deviations often say that the only way to go to heaven and be saved when the world ends is to believe in Christ. What if I were to say that the only way to be saved was to believe in yourself? What would I be labelled as? Centuries ago, I would have been persecuted and burned at the stake for my practices and my beliefs. How is that any different from the "merciful" future that Christianity has lain out for "non-believers"? I get hell no matter what. You have to remember that there are other religions than Christianity and regardless of how much you respect your religion, please respect ours. Our views conflict with yours and the more you say things like "Jesus is the only way out", the more I tend to get upset about where this thread are going. You guys aren't evangels for Christ - you're just debating a simple scenario of life after death.
